It’s official: The Avengers have fallen to the dinosaurs. Jurassic World has earned $460 million in the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of 2015 so far. It passed up Avengers: Age of Ultron, which has $451 million.
Meanwhile, it’s currently on track to get to $500 million in the quickest amount of time ever. The Avengers did it in 23 days and Jurassic World is on track to do it in 18 or 19 days.
As for this weekend, World is neck and neck with Inside Out to take #1 for what could be its third week in a row. Both are tracking at around $50 million while Ted 2 is expected to get around $34.1 million.
