Freelance Wrestling Starts 2015 With Tag Title Tournament & Party For Fans

If 2014 will be remembered in independent pro wrestling as the year Freelance Wrestling was let loose on Chicago, then 2015 will be the year that Freelance firmly takes hold as the standard for independent pro wrestling in Chicago. On February 6th, Freelancereturns to the Abbey Pub for another late night of 21+ rock and wrestling action with it’s first show of the new year, Friends with Benefits.

Before the action even begins you can be a part of the Friends with Benefits Pre-Show Party at 7:30 pm; offering early admission and seating to Friends with Benefits for those who attend. This special attraction is presented by Freelance Wrestling & Chicago podcasting company The Rebellion Network for the loyal Freelance fans. This month the Pre-Show Party features two live podcasts as well as another live, musical performance from popular Chicago singer/songwriter Ross Berman!

The first live podcast will feature comedian and Talk Hard host Jamie Campbell squaring off on the microphone with former TNA iMpact Superstar, Joey Ryan. Closing out the pre-show, The Rebellion’s Nick Hausman sits down with the controversial, out spoken, former CZW Champion and hottest free agent in Chicago, “The Ego” Robert Anthony.

Joey & Ego will be offering their off the cuff thoughts on the current state of iMpact Wrestling, Chicago independent pro wrestling, WWE developmental, CM Punk and more. A live microphone will also be set up in the crowd for fans to ask their own questions that will be included in the final podcast release.

Following the Pre-Show, Friends with Benefits will feature the first round matches in the Freelance Wrestling Tag Team Championship Tournament. The teams announced for the tournament are:

Friends with Benefits is headlined by the in-ring debut at Freelance Wrestling of “The Ego” Robert Anthony. “The Ego” will be squaring off with Freelance original, Craig Mitchell, in a bout that will likely blow the roof off the Abbey Pub.
