Why all the Miz hate?

"I don't get it. Yes, he's not the best wrestler, but there are loads of others who are just as bad as he is. At least he's trying to improve. He's actually improved alot through the years. Besides, aren't you guys used to him at this point? Why wasn't there much hate when he was WWE champion? Why did all this hate start to erupt now?

Just made this thread because everyone's voting Miz as the worst title reign in the PG era, which is pretty damn ridiculous. I actually found his heel work quite decent, even entertaining at times (US title reign). Have you guys forgotten the staler ones? Sheamus? Swagger? DEL RIO? Ryback? Ziggler's 30 minute title reign?

I've got to admit, Miz's promos have been very lackluster ever since he turned face, but to be honest, aren't 80% of the roster's promos the same?

But yeah, I guess some hate is justifiable, like how he main evented WM, but do remember that he wasn't really the biggest star to come out of that rumble, he was just a pawn in the Cena-Rock feud. I'm really just ticked off about people thinking he had the worst title reign and such."

Thoughts?

I think he's still the same. He's not that boring, just less annoying? Idk.

He's a great heel. As a face, he's just...Meh. Not particularly bad, but not great either. Just sorta there.

I loved Miz as a heel(And still like him as a face, not as much though) and when he cashed in the Money in the bank, I marked out possibly crazier than I ever have.

That being said, I can't argue that his WWE championship reign could have been the worst of the PG era. While Cena and Rock were feuding for the WWE championship that neither of them were holding, Miz was stuck losing cleanly and having WWE Championship matches with Jerry Fucking Lawler.

Why is it that when wrestlers come off being heel, they suck as face. Guess that's not an easy thing to pull off. But I like Miz either way.

^ Agreed. But it's mainly cause people are very stuck up about who they like as faces, cause they just want pure heels or something... for example Sheamus was a good face, yet no one cared about him.

Maybe it's because when there is an exceptionally good heel, it feels weird seeing them as a face. Sheamus did a good job but it was awkward, seeing as how well he did the heel role.

Which, in contrast, I think WWE never should have turned Punk heel in 2012. His role of rebel face is amazing.

I loved face Punk, but I loved SES/2010 Punk much better than every other one of his gimmicks combined.

Some wrestlers just have it as a heel, some has it as a face and some has it as both....the Miz is a MUCH better heel than he is a face and they're making him do the same schtick that he would as a heel and its just not getting over.

2009-2010 heel Punk was amazing. 2012-2013 heel Punk... Better as a face.

That's what I meant lol. 2009-2010 Punk. When he was feuding with Taker, Jeff, etc. When he held the WHC title. Long haired, heel, perfect. Nexus Punk was good, but I still preferred SES Punk, then after that I grew bored of him.. I love his 2011-2013 Punk character, but it just doesn't fit him. A PUNK should not be "BEST IN THE WORLD"

He's a marginal heel and a crummy face, sells no tickets ever, and is a below-average worker. He's nothing special. If he wasn't on reality TV before coming to WWE he wouldn't have ever got a push.

My sister is a huge wrestling fan now almost entirely because of Miz, and she's bought tickets just to see him. So I think he can draw at least a little bit, but he's definitely more entertaining as a heel.

Yeah he just a really hate-able babyface. I think he's being voted as worst WWE Champion of The PG Era because there's fan that still have a boner for The Rock and The Attitude Era.
