World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor is to be assigned a release date next week.

Slated for the autumn, the forthcoming expansion's launch details will be unveiled on August 14 during Blizzard Entertainment's 'Cinematic and Street-Date Reveal Event'.

Developers of the online role-playing title are planning to speak at the forthcoming event, which will also be live-streamed on the World of Warcraft website.

The first episode of a new animated lore mini-series, Lords of War, is also scheduled to make its debut.

Set in a brand-new jungle zone, Warlords of Draenor embraces the early days of Azeroth, harking back to the orcs versus humans template of the early real-time strategy Warcraft titles.
