I've had mine since launch, first console I pre ordered, the 3DS I got after the price drop, the Vita was 2 years after release when I bought it. I have never dropped a sizeable chunk of change ($410 in this case) to get a console at launch. The only games I got near launch were Nintendo Land (bundled with the 32GB Model) and New Super Mario Bros U which I pre-ordered with the system If that wasn't released at launch I would not have pre ordered the system. I did get Mighty Switch Force HD and a few of the VC games that were on sale for 30 cents. I got Earthbound last year and the first Physical game I bought since then was Mario Kart 8. Nintendo seems to be a slow burner with their systems in recent years. With the 3DS, It wasn't until Super Mario 3D Land was coming out and Ocarina of Time 3D was out that I jumped on that. Now that games are coming out for it, solid looking titles already out like MK8 and Mario 3D World plus with Smash Bros as well it's a solid option. 2012, not so much. Even when the PS4 and Xbox One came out A few solid games were out for the WIi U, plus it was cheaper. I still haven't gotten either one of those, EA UFC is the reason I will get one, and both eventually. But 500 bucks is not financially responsible for me at the present time. I have a friend who did get the Xbox One at Launch, he's not a hardcore gamer wither, nor does he even use the Kinect. I waited, and I'm glad I did. Microsoft released the it without the Kinect.
