"Little Blue" and "XWA'S Best Diva" exchange a sportsman like handshake and begin to circle one another looking for weaknesses to exploit. They each take a turn feinting a lunge but nothing comes of it. The traditional Collar and Elbow tie-up happens and right away Nicole uses her height and strength to push the sexy upstart toward the south region of the ring. Polly places her feet on the middle buckle behind her and uses the leverage to cease Nicole's momentum. Johnson exerts more effort but the 5'1" 110 pound "Dynamo" doesn't budge. The Diva's Champion feels the tide turning as Polly pushes herself off the buckle and shifts her back a few steps. The veteran quickly foils anything else "Mousey Bear" can do by slinking on a Headlock. She cranks hard on it, getting a painful squeal from the little booger. Polly palms Nicole's back and attempts to push her off but Johnson's grip is iron clad. Pocket's next action is to try to lift her up into a Back Body Drop. Sensing this, the Divas Champion bends low and base, making it difficult for Polly to implement her plan. "Sparkaroo" discards the try and mulls over anything else she can do. Nicole kindly makes the decision for her by swapping from Headlock to Hammerlock in the blink of an eye and applies plenty of pressure. A few elbows are fired back at Nicole, but the ring general dodges them and transitions yet again, this time to a Arm Wringer. Polly Pocket winches and paces on the tips of her toes. Johnson wrings the arm again. A grimace creases "Little Blue's" face. The upstart brings her gymnastics background into play by front flipping out of her predicament. The sudden movement stuns "XWA'S Best Diva" but not enough to drop her guard. Polly may have gotten her limb untangled and unrung, but a release Arm Drag puts the brakes on illusions of gaining any offense against the battle tested veteran. The "Fightin' Fairy" gets up working out the kinks in her arm and circles her opponent. Nicole invites her to the middle of the ring for another tie up, an offer the rookie accepts with a determined prowl. Polly changes her mind in mid grab and moves behind Johnson, dropping to her knees. Nicole grabs at her waist, expecting the youngster's hands to be there, but they aren't. The champion's feet are pulled from under her, making her kiss the mat. The grade school trick-trip had worked and she intends to make the most of it. Crawling up Nicole's body like a spider walking its web, Pocket traps her opponent's right arm between her legs in a scissor lock and takes a stab at wrapping her hands around her face to complete the submission move. The consummate champion has enough bearings to grab one of the hands coming in and holds it at bay while she squirms toward the ropes mainly using her legs. Fortunately for the veteran, the ropes are close and she's able to drape a foot across the bottom one. "Little Blue" releases before the count can reach "1", something the fans take notice of and applaud. Nicole springs up and has a rather surprised expression. She did not expect to almost get caught in a submission move so early on, let alone get tripped like that. The champion's eyes narrow a little bit as Polly holds up her thumb and index finger a centimeter apart. Nicole throws her a nod, giving her "props" for almost doing something. Too bad almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

The women go in for another tie up and this time it's the ring general who changes her mind in mid grab. Her forearm slams against Polly's pretty face. The upstart tries to fire back but Nicole strafes her chest with numerous Knife Edge Chops that rock the smaller diva onto her heels. Nicole grabs the rookie's wrist and whips her across the ring. As the girl comes back toward her, "XWA'S Best Diva" bends over to go for a big Back Body Drop. Polly forward rolls right over her, sailing clean and landing on her feet. Pocket keeps on truckin' and spring boards off the middle rope with her back toward her confused opponent. She twists around as she soars through the air, her body now horizontal as it comes to face Nicole. The Cross Body mapped out by "Mousey Bear" is rejected by way of a spirited Drop Kick from the wily champion, knocking her right out of the sky. The Divas Champion shoots the half. "1" and the feisty rookie kicks out. Undeterred, Nicole pins her again, this time hooking both legs but getting the same result. It's already clear to the champion that "Tinkerbell" favors the high flying aspect. Only one way to combat that, keep her grounded and worn down. "XWA'S Best Diva" picks her up and lifts her, bringing her at hip level with her back toward the canvas. She then drops to one knee, bringing her opponent across it. A cry escapes Polly upon impact and screams follow as Nicole keeps her placed on the knee. Johnson places an arm over the "Dynamo's" legs and pushes her hand under the girl's chin. The Divas Champion pushes hard, stressing Polly's neck and back to their limits. Pocket pounds away at Nicole's torso with her nearest appendage, her resistance proving fruitless as moments pass without being released. The pain is becoming nearly unbearable yet the tough rookie doesn't concede. She pulls and pushes at the champion's arm and hand. Nothing gives. Polly growls in agony and palm strikes the inside elbow of the limb that's oppressing her chin. It buckles enough for her to push it off and she goes to remove herself from the veteran's grasp. Nicole has other plans. She allows the rookie to move freely, but only for a second. Johnson had retained control of Polly's legs the last few seconds and swiftly spreads them so they are either side at her hips. "XWA'S Best Diva" falls back while pulling her opponent up and over with a Catapult of sorts, only she doesn't release it like most commonly do. As Polly Pocket has a painful meet-and-greet with the mat, kissers first, "XWA'S Best Diva" does a back roll while still maintaining lordship over her opponent's legs. She comes to a seated position on Pocket's lower back and situates herself into a deep squat, initiating the double leg Boston Crab.

Ted Cedar: "Polly Pocket is giving it her all in there but the Divas Champion is proving exactly why she has that title around her waist. Effy has a tall task ahead of her when she challenges Nicole for the Divas Championship at the Big Ass American Bash live on Pay Per View this Sunday."

Joey Miles: "Call this what it is. A warm up match for Nicole. At least I can tell what kind of chick Polly is in bed because of this, she's definitely a screamer. Just listen to her in there. Stupid ditz should just give in and spare herself more pain and embarrassment.

Polly extends her claws on the mat, raking the fabric hard, gnashing her pearly whites and screaming. There's not a whole lot of options as far as counters go for this move, even less options when applied by someone so skilled. "Sparkaroo's" best bet is to inch her way to the ropes, and that is what she commences to do. Two inches. Three inches. The toll is too much, the ropes too distant. She raises a hand high and for a second considers slapping the mat in defeat. The hand instead closes into a fist of defiance and she lets out a guttural screech as she palms the canvas and begins to separate herself from it. Nicole's eyes widen a little bit and she struggles to keep the girl's gymnast legs secured. Soon Johnson is almost standing with her opponent nearly in a handstand under her. Out of nowhere, Polly pops her adorably compact body through Nicole's parted legs and uses her tremendous athleticism and acrobatics to rise in a sit-up, getting high enough to wrap an arm around the back of the champion's head. A forearm shot to the jaw follows, jolting Nicole enough to release the legs. Pocket Wraps her other arm around her head while at the same time moving her feet against Johnson's stomach. Nicole screams as she rockets into the air from the Monkey Flip. For "XWA'S Best Diva" it feels like she had been stuffed into a shuttle and sent into orbit. Oddly enough, the altitude she gets from the maneuver serves her well, allowing the Divas Champion to land on her feet. It isn't smooth and sends her stumbling forward, but at least her back was spared. Nicole's stomach makes up for her backs good fortune, "Little Blue" ripping her down with a Spear when she turns back toward her. Being limber enough, Polly adds a bridge to the spear, bringing the Japanese version of Charles Robinson into duty. "1" - "2" - Nicole shifts a shoulder up. Polly isn't shocked by it, she's in a match with an all time great. "The Blonde Bombshell" takes custody of Nicole's right arm and sneaks in a quick Magistral Cradle but once again comes away without the all important third slap of the mat. Feeling the match slipping away, Johnson hurries to her feet, a little unnerved now. For the second time in the contest Polly trips her, this time with a Spinning Sweep Kick to the calves. The Denver native wastes no time in standing up and positioning herself at the champion's right side. Flipping forward, she brings both legs down on her opponent - one on the throat the other across the chest. It's her time to shine and she is going to BLISSFULLY sparkle. The rookie brings her opponent up and steers her toward the northern quadrant of the squared circle and Scoop Slams her near the corner. Polly then climbs to the top buckle and stages her back facing the inside of the ring. The fans cheer, thinking something epic is about to happen. "Mousey Bear" gives the multitudes an energetic kiss and salute, then gets startled out of her skin when she feels Nicole's head and shoulders under her. The Divas Champion had either been playing possum or received a second wind. Polly swats at Nicole as she is pushed into the air in an Electric Chair position. Johnson leaps from the buckles with opponent in tow and turns 180 degrees as they fly, so that they are now facing the inside of the ring. As they free fall, "XWA's Best Diva" lands in a sitout position, letting "Little Blue" collide front first onto the mat viciously. It's a horrendous impact that leaves the sparky newbie strewn and all but obliterated. Nicole rests on her laurels. She had taken a little bump herself from the plunge. Under a shower of "Holy Shit" chants, Johnson rolls the girl onto her back and slings her body over hers, a hook of the leg absent and unneeded. "1" - "2" - "1/2" - a weak buck of the shoulder breaks the count.

The Divas Champion rolls onto her knees and looks at the referee quizzically. A little bit of frustration had set in. Getting back to her vertical base, Johnson closes in behind her crawling opponent, and Dropkicks her in the buttocks. It's just enough to send the rookie tumbling through the bottom two ropes onto the floor. "XWA'S Best Diva" crouches in the center of the ring, patiently waiting for Polly to stand so she can  put her next plan into action. When Pocket meets the champ's requirement, she runs and dives feet first through the top two ropes. All she connects with is air. The speedy "Dynamo" had averted the disaster by rolling into the ring as the veteran exited and now stands near the ropes inside the ring, hunched over and hurt. Nicole swiftly gets onto the apron and spots Polly closing in. She rams her shoulder through the ropes to put a damper on the rookie's plans, but gets a stiff knee to the snot-box instead. The blow almost sends Nicole off the apron but she manages to cling onto the ropes. Seizing her advantage, Polly reaches over and grabs the Divas Champion around the head and tries to lift her up and into the ring with a Suplex. Nicole feels it coming and blocks it with a leg in the ropes. In retaliation she fires a few punches into "Mighty Mouse's" stomach that loosens her hold upon her, changing the complexion of the Suplex so that now Nicole is the one lifting her opponent into the air. She gets her up all the way, but Polly fiercely wiggles her way to safety, winding up standing on the apron face to face with Nicole in a Suplex stalemate. Once more Polly Pocket heaves her up for the Plex, but in mid apex decides to make a detour and simply jumps off the apron while releasing the champion into a cruel looking Brainbuster onto the edge of the ring. Nicole's brain housing assembly explodes with pain and she is left to thrash around on the outside cradling her think-tank. Keeping with her devil-may-care high risk theatrics, the "Fightin' Fairy" rolls into the ring, breaking the count, and stands up with her eager fingers wrapped around the top rope. On the outside Nicole is barely able to stand and looks like she could be tipped over by the slightest breeze that comes her way. Polly can't wait to impress everyone, so she bends down impatiently, bunching her leg muscles together, and throws herself up and over the top rope with one of her signatures the Corkscrew Cross Body. By mere stroke of luck the Divas Champion collapses onto her side, narrowly escaping the flying frame. When Nicole finally realizes her close call, her eyes grow big and bug looking. A sigh of relief follows. The ring veteran finds her proper footing at last and drags Polly with her onto the ring apron, where she hopes to give the girl a dose of her own medicine. Pocket jabs an elbow at her a couple of times but Nicole ends her resistance with a forearm across the back. "XWA'S Best Diva" then places her in a Front Chancery and leaps from the apron, dragging the rookie with her. The Tornado DDT spikes Polly pretty hard on the outside, making her to sit upright with her eyes crossed a moment before shutting wholly. Hot jolts of pain circulate up and down her cortex, leaving her unable to defend herself as Nicole picks her up and rolls her back into the ring. Johnson follows in and moves the "Dynamo" near the western realm of the ring and ascends to the top buckle. Fans cheer and get their media devices ready to take pictures of the Moonsault they know is coming. As she has done so many times before, piling up a record of 8-1 in the process, Nicole vaults into the air and flips into the brilliant maneuver that has become synonymous with her. BAZINGA! Nobody home.

Ted Cedar: "She missed! Polly moved. What was supposed to be a tune up match for Nicole heading into her big title defense at the Big Ass American bash has turned into one hell of a donny brook."

Joey Miles: "Somebody forgot to tell Polly Pocket this was just a warm up match for Nicole. She didn't get memo, and if she did, it pissed her the fuck off."

Ted Cedar: "I actually agree with you for once. Imagine that! I fear Nicole may have been looking past her opponent tonight and was focused on Effy. Now she is bogged down in a high risk high reward style of offense that actually seems to favor Polly. If that's the case, it'll come back to bite her on the ass."

Joey Miles: "If that doesn't bite her in the ass, I will."

Ted Cedar: ...  "Dumbass."

Polly is in no position to capitalize. The easy task of rolling twice had proved pretty taxing on the body, given the damage sustained after that Tornado DDT on the outside. Pocket's fingers still tingle and some numbness prevails in the tips of her nose pickers. She lifts her head and notices the champion lumbering toward her slowly, doubled over with an arm protecting her midsection. Drawing a deep breath in, "Little Blue" musters enough go-get-em to stun the intruder with a Kip UP Hurricanrana. The Divas Champion rolls across the ring involuntarily and comes against the middle rope, where she stops and faces out at XWA's loyal ticket buyers. The "Fightin' Fairy" isn't about to let the impossible go to waste and runs the ropes behind the champion. As she comes back toward her groggy opponent she swings through the top and middle ropes with 619 movement, but instead of using feet and shins she uses only her knees to drill Johnson in the face. Nicole is displaced into the ring where she makes haste back to her vertical base holding her throbbing face in her hand. While she does so, Polly dips onto the edge of the ring and faces the insurmountable champion, then jumps up and springboards from the top cable into the ring. She twists through the air, completing a 720 rotation before looping her arm around Nicole's head and pulverizing her skull into the mat with the finisher so poetically dubbed the Uncomfortably Numb DDT. The crowd goes nuts. Ted and Joey also go crazy. Johnson lies sprawled out, arms and legs far and wide, as Polly covers and hooks the far leg.

DING-DING-DING



Polly rolls out of the ring with her jaw so far down in shock that she almost has to drag it with her. She starts jumping up and down excitedly, her pain gone temporarily, and does a victory lap around the ring celebrating with the fans like she'd just won the Super Bowl.

Laura Watts: "Your winner of the match via pinfall.............. POLLY POCKET."

Joey Miles: "Holy fucking shit what an upset. I'm marking out over there. The last few minutes were riveting as hell."

Ted Cedar: "The entire match was riveting. This is truly one of the biggest upsets we've seen. That was indeed an Uncomfortably Numb DDT."  

As she heads up the ramp, Nicole comes to and is seen rubbing her head and looking around in confusion. The final shot shows Polly at the top of the ramp doing a cute curtsy bow and blowing a fairy kiss to the spectators.
