Pokemon Delta Emerald Trademarked By Nintendo Empty

A trademark from Nintendo suggests that it could be considering a remake of Pokemon Emerald, named Pokemon Delta Emerald to coincide with the already-announced remakes of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

Gematsu reports that the title Delta Emerald has been registered as a trademark by Nintendo in Japan, which occured on 2 May 2014 and went public on 29 May 2014.

Nintendo has already revealed that it is working on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with a release date of November 2014.

The original Pokemon Emerald - which was an enhanced version of GBA Pokemon games Ruby and Sapphire - was released about two years after its predecessors.

While the trademark doesn't confirm this is Nintendo's intentions, if it does release Pokemon Delta Emerald slightly after Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire that would be a little unfair for its devoted fanbase - who would essentially have to buy another version of the same game.

It's probably so someone doesn't make a romhack by that name.

^ That seems irrelevant. Someone could make a romhack by any other name, so there's no real use.

I doubt they'll make this a game since they never add the third of the series in remakes (IE: FR/LG didn't have Yellow, SS and HG didn't have Crystal, etc.) So I doubt they'll make a third, but there's always a first for everything, so who knows. I don\'t know

I think they'll make it a legit game. When Black and White came out, they broke the standard by having two games following instead of one.

I would be completely ok with them making a new game. Mainly cause Emerald is my favorite game next to SoulSilver. walk

Pokemon Yellow was essentially Red/Blue but Pikachu was your starter pokemon.

And Crystal was even more like GS than Yellow was to RB. Same with Emerald and RB (Aside from catching Rayquaza instead of Groudon or Kyogre) and Platinum with Diamond and Pearl. There's never that big of a difference. If anything, Yellow was the most different.

You mean getting all three starters and your rival getting an Eevee wasn't completely different? There hasn't been much of a difference in any of the third games. In Crystal, the only thing that's different is the fact that you fight Suicune in the story. In Emerald, Rayquaza instead of Groudon and Kyogre. Platinum, Giratina instead of the Dialga and Palkia, etc. It's not all that different.

in Pokemon Yellow you only get a Pikachu to start out with....

Quote :

ike Pokémon Red and Blue, Yellow takes place in the region of Kanto, which features habitats for 151 Pokémon species. The objectives remain the same as well, though some differences exist along the way. For example, in the beginning, the player is not given an option of choosing one of three starters. Instead, a wild Pikachu that Professor Oak catches becomes player's Pokémon, while the rival character takes an Eevee.
