Samuel and Spires vs. Cultural Experience SpiresandSamuelandCulturalExperience_zpsc7dc669d

Tonight, two teams face off in the main event of Vendetta. On one hand, we've got the mentor and student team of Cultural Experience; Dominik Diveraz and Takumi Sanu. The two have had a roller coaster couple of weeks with Diveraz winning the Intercontinental Championship at Revolutionary War only to lose it to the man he beat for it on the following Vendetta. On the other hand, we've got the new pairing of Caleb Spires and Greg Samuel. Following their classic match last week that was dubbed 'Match of the Night' on Vendetta's official Twitter page, Caleb shocked the World when he traded in his chance to choose his opponent next week for the opportunity to pick a tag team partner instead, proceeding to choose the match he just faced, Greg Samuel. Caleb and Greg have all the momentum in the World right now, following their incredible match, whilst Cultural Experience have to be extremely disappointed by Dominik's early title loss. However, Cultural Experience do have the advantage of knowing each other better than their opponents, as a tag team. Whilst Caleb is well known for his time in tag teams, he's never teamed with Samuel before. Not only have Dominik and Takumi been teaming together for years, but Diveraz even helped train his Japanese protégé. In the end, this match could easily go either way. Will it be the team with momentum or the team with experience pulling off the victory tonight? Will the winning team be in line for a Tag Team Championship match in the near future?

Ted Cedar
"Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to XWA Vendetta! I'm here with my broadcast partner Adam Dennis and we're getting ready for our main event of the evening."

Adam Dennis
"And it should be goooood."

DING! DING! DING!

Laura Watts
"The following tag team match is scheduled for a one-fall and it is our main event of the evening."

"Fake it" by Seether hits the PA system as the crowd goes nuts for the man whom pops out from behind the curtain; Caleb Spires! The XWA legend has a smile on his face as he makes his way down the ramp.

Laura Watts
"Introducing first, weighing in tonight at one hundred and ninety-two pounds, from Danville, Indiana; he is 'The Elite One', Caleb Spires!"

The audience pops once more for the introduction of Caleb as he continues to walk to the ring.

Ted Cedar
"Caleb is looking as confident as ever, after coming off of a huge win against his very own partner tonight, Greg Samuel."

Adam Dennis
"I still can't believe he chose to team up with Greg Samuel instead of picking his own opponent. He could've faced anyone he wanted. Now he's stuck against Cultural Experience, and with the mood Diveraz has gotta be in tonight, that's not who you wanna be stuck against.

By this time, Caleb has entered the ring and jumped onto the middle turnbuckle, where he poses for the audience. Slowly, his music dies down. After a brief moment of silence, "Nuclear Family" by Green Day hits the PA system and Greg Samuel is quick out onto the stage after the short intro, receiving applause from the fans in attendance. Samuel pumps up the crowd a little bit as he heads down the ramp at a moderate pace, slapping some fans hands.

Laura Watts
"And his partner, weighing in tonight at two hundred and twenty pounds, from Portland, Maine; he is 'The Main Attraction', Greg Samuel!"

Once he gets to the ring, he jumps up to the apron on one knee and then pulls himself up with the top rope to a vertical base. In a swift turn, Samuel begins his way to the corner on his right-hand side. He gets up to the second rope and puts a foot on the top rope, pointing out to the crowd. Samuel then grabs onto both sides of the top rope and flips into the ring, landing on his feet. He takes off his vest and shorts and throws them off to the outside of the ring, revealing his blue, white and black tights with a GS on the front left in black and Samuel on the back in the three colors rearranged.

Ted Cedar
"Greg may have lost last week, but he put on one hell of a fight and took the legendary Caleb Spires to his very limit."

Adam Dennis
"Not a bad night for him at all."

Greg does some warm-up poses in the ring as his music dies down and Caleb discusses their plan for the match with him quietly. Shortly after, "Instinct" by Tha Mexakinz is heard throughout the arena, but not coming from the PA System. Instead, it's coming from the stereo of a red, white and green monster truck that drives out onto the stage, accompanied with hydraulics. Driving the truck is Dominik Diveraz, whilst his tag team partner Takumi Sanu sits uncomfortably in the passenger seat, feeling as though he may be sick from the motion of the truck or the very loud music pumping out right by his head. Dominik isn't showcasing his usual happy attitude this week, as he appears quite angered.

Laura Watts
"And their opponents. First, weighing in tonight at one hundred and fifty-seven pounds, from San Luis Potosi, Mexico; he is 'The Mystic Midget', Dominik Diveraz! And his partner, weighing in tonight at two hundred and ten pounds, from Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan; he is 'Sento-Ki', Takumi Sanu!"

Adam Dennis
"Now here's someone who had a bad night last week. Dominik lost his Intercontinental Championship just one week after winning it. That's gotta suck."

Ted Cedar
"It certainly does, Adam. And Dominik doesn't look too happy about it, in the slightest."

Eventually, they make it to the squared circle and both men exit the truck and proceed to head into the ring. The two men enter the squared circle and stare down their opponents. On one corner of the ring, Caleb and Greg calmly discuss whom will start the match off for them and it's decided that Samuel will be the first in. On the other corner of the ring, things aren't going so smoothly. Diveraz points at the apron whilst shouting at his partner, "Sube a la plataforma, Takumi! Ahora!" Dominik is demanding Takumi get on the apron, as he wants to start this match off, clearly having some pent up frustration to take care of. Not wanting to anger his mentor any further, Sanu simply nods and heads onto the apron. XWA official Ryu Sanu makes sure both men, Greg and Dominik, are ready to fight before calling for the bell to be rung thrice.

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar
"Well, the match is officially under way, but there seems to be seem frustration between Dominik and Takumi. Let's hope they can pull it together or else they're gonna have a very hard time beating this duo of Caleb and Greg."

Adam Dennis
"Of course there's frustration, Dominik lost his Intercontinental Championship in one week! I'd be pissed too if I was him."

The two men slowly begin circling one another, picking their spots. Without warning, once Greg was close enough, Dominik leaped forward and began raining down punches and elbows all over his upper body. Samuel desperately tries to block the onslaught from his opponent, but Diveraz is just too quick. He's obviously letting off steam the old fashion way; by pounding the hell out of another human being. Better than killing puppies, I suppose. Soon enough, his attacks begin to include kicks, reminiscent of Tajiri, to the sides of his opponent's legs. With Greg eventually backed up into the ropes, Dominik goes for an Irish Whip but it's reversed by "The Maine Attraction" into an Irish Whip of his own. Diveraz ricochets off of the ropes as Greg goes for a Clothesline, but the smaller man catches him off guard by leaping into the air, pushing his body forward and drilling Greg directly in the mid-section with a low-hitting Busaiku Knee Kick! The impact of the move causes Greg to flop back, landing on one knee. Dominik quickly gets back up and runs to the ropes, this time returning to land a second Busaiku Knee Kick with this one railing the American superstar directly in the face! The impact caused by this one forces Greg to slam backwards, the back of his head snapping off of the canvas in a manner that is sure to give him some degree of whiplash. Diveraz quickly hops back up to his feet and lets out a loud, warrior-like yell as the audience lets out an entirely mixed reaction, split 50/50 for these two teams.

Adam Dennis
"Dominik is certainly pissed right now, but fortunately for him and Takumi, he's channeling that anger into his wrestling. I feel sorry for Greg, to be honest. Diveraz may not be that big, but he's a feisty little guy. You don't wanna get him angry."

Ted Cedar
"That you don't, Adam. That you don't. I gotta say, though, that was a great combination of Busaiku Knee Kicks by Diveraz. I'm honestly surprised Greg isn't knocked out cold right now with how hard Dominik hit him in the head."

Greg isn't knocked out cold, as Ted just stated. Instead, he's slowly trying to get back to a vertical base whilst holding his jaw as it took most of the damage from that second Busaiku Knee Kick. If he hadn't got hit with that, he'd be focusing on the immense pain in his abdomen from the first Busaiku Knee Kick. After making it to all fours, Greg finds himself on the receiving end of a sharp kick to the mid-section that flips him onto his back. Diveraz follows this up with a few stomps to the gut, clearly having found an area to target. He looks up at Caleb, whom appears a tad worried for his partner, before shouting out, "Usted tiene la mala suerte, gringo!" Caleb looks at him in confusion, not understanding Spanish so he doesn't realize Diveraz just said he has bad luck. The angry Mexican decides to give Caleb something he'll certainly understand; the middle finger! This angers Spires, whom tries to enter the ring, but Ryu does all he can to keep him on the apron. Takumi shakes his head from his side of the ring, clearly not approving of the way Dominik is acting. "The Mystic Midget" goes to turn his attention to Greg, when suddenly – SMACK! – he finds himself on the receiving end of a very vicious Enzuigiri, nailing him right in the back of the head! Dominik flops forward, crashing hard into the canvas.

Ted Cedar
"Dominik was caught up in taunting Caleb that he took his eyes off of Greg; a mistake you never want to make."

Adam Dennis
"That was a sick Enzuigiri right there. I bet they heard that up in the cheap seats. I know Dominik has a hard head but that had to hurt like a son of a bitch."

Greg rolls over Dominik to go for the cover, but it's only a count of one and a half before the Spanish superstar manages to get his shoulder up. Shrugging off the early kickout, Greg raises one hand in the air to pose for the crowd, trying to gain himself some momentum from their cheers to success. With a smile firmly planted on his face, he lifts Diveraz back to a vertical base and applies an Inverted Chancery, setting up for his signature move the GPP; Great Pine Press. This is also known as an Inverted Falling DDT, of course. Before he can land the attack, however, Diveraz lands a knee to his temple. He follows this one up with a second knee, which causes Greg to loosen his grip just enough for Dominik to latch his arms around his opposition's neck. He then leaps into the air, backflipping as he does so, pulling Greg backwards into an Asai DDT that he likes to call the Cortador Tolerancia! Following the well-timed reversal, Diveraz goes for the cover, but it's just barely a two-count. Already letting the kickouts get to his head, Dominik angrily slaps the canvas multiple times. It's clear he's still upset about losing his Championship so early that it's getting in his mind in this contest.

Ted Cedar
"What a big reversal by Dominik right there! He hits a beautiful DDT, known as the Cortador Tolerancia, whilst managing to avoid being hit by what I believe would've been Greg's Great Pine Press. Although I have to say, Dominik is seeming way too upset about the kickout. Yes, it was a good move, but it's still very early in the match. He couldn't have expected it to end there, could he?"

Adam Dennis
"Stranger things have happened, Ted. All I know is Dominik needs to keep his cool and channel all of his angry energy into his wrestling ability, as he was doing at the beginning of the match. He hit a good reversal; a great one in fact. But that doesn't matter if he goes and ruins all of his momentum by having a hissy fit."

Takumi extends his hand out for a tag, but Diveraz refuses it, simply stating, "I got this." No, he didn't say it comically loud to impersonate George Lopez. He immediately goes back to work on his opponent, drilling him into the mid-section with stomps; trying to go back to work on Greg's most injured area. He then gets on the canvas and wraps his legs around the body of his adversary to apply a Body Scissors. Greg lets out a slight yelp from the pain he feels, as he shakes his head in an effort to fight off the pain. "Come on Greg, you can get out of this. Pry his legs off of you," Caleb shouts out, trying to help talk his partner out of the submission hold. He then proceeds to slap the top turnbuckle repeatedly in an effort to get the crowd to start clapping. Naturally, it works. Greg tries to feed off of the momentum given to him by the fans clapping in unison as he grabs a hold of both of Dominik's feet and begins to pry them away from his mid-section. Without warning, Dominik lands a sharp elbow shot to the back of Greg's head, causing him to lose focus and let go of Dominik's feet, allowing Diveraz to re-apply his Body Scissors. Greg smacks the canvas once on instinct, as he finds himself trapped in the hold once more.

Ted Cedar
"Greg needs to find a way out of this Body Scissors and quick. I know he has a lot of heart, so it's going to take a lot to make him tap. That may not necessarily be a good thing, however, as he could suffer a serious injury."

Adam Dennis
"If he does, that's on him. You need to know when to push on and when to give up. One fight isn't worth risking your career over."

Greg looks around the ring, making a note of how far he is away from the ropes. Unfortunately for him, he's smack-dab in the center of the ring. He looks over to his corner and sees Caleb extending his hand over the top rope for a tag. With a look of determination now covering Greg's face, he slowly but surely pries his way over to his corner. That's a hell of a lot easier said than done when you got a full grown man latched onto you. Well, I'm not sure Diveraz is a FULL grown man, but you get the idea. With the audience still clapping in unison, Greg gets close enough to the ropes to make the tag and he does. The audience bursts into cheers as Caleb hops over the top rope and enters the ring; unknown to Diveraz whom has his eyes closed as he applies as much pressure as possible on Greg. Caleb runs the ropes, rebounding off of them and dashing straight towards Diveraz. The Spanish superstar opens his eyes just in time to see a pair of feet flying directly at him; Spires landing a beautiful running Dropkick! Naturally, the Dropkick causes Diveraz to let go of his hold on Greg and "The Maine Attraction" slides out onto the apron. With Dominik dazed, Caleb picks him up and pulls him to the center of the ring where he spins behind his opponent and applies a Waist Lock. He follows this up by pulling the small man backwards into a bridged German Suplex! Ryu manages to make it to a count of two and a half before Diveraz kicks out.

Ted Cedar
"That was a close kickout right there by Dominik. I thought Caleb had it."

Adam Dennis
"He may not have had it, but that was one beautiful bridge by Spires. That guy's flexible, that's for sure."

Caleb, after having made it back to his feet, looks at the downed Mexican. "Hey, Diveraz," he says, as Dominik looks up. Caleb simply continues by giving him the finger, much-like Dominik did earlier, before landing a spinning kick directly to the side of Dominik's head. The kick is heard all throughout the arena, as Caleb smirks. He looks p at his corner to see Greg letting out a light laugh and he responds with a simple shrug and smile. Going back to work on the small man, Caleb lifts him to his feet and drags him to his team's corner. He then tags Samuel back into the match, trying to keep both members of his team fresh. As Greg enters, Caleb pulls Diveraz out of the corner and Greg takes that spot. Spires looks as if he's going to Irish Whip Diveraz into his team's corner, but instead he does a pull back, sending Diveraz running towards Greg whom leaps into the air and lands a picture-perfect Dropkick to the face. With Ryu now yelling at Caleb to get out of the ring, he obliges and Greg goes for the pin. It's only a count of two before Dominik kicks out, but Greg keeps calm. On the other side of the ring, Takumi can be seen extending his arm over the top rope and yelling out for Dominik to make a tag. Even if Diveraz could make the tag right now, it's not likely that he would as he's gotten his pride way too tangled up in this match. After suffering a huge loss last week, he wants to prove that he's still a dominant competitor, even if it means leaving Takumi out of the mix.

Ted Cedar
"Greg and Caleb are playing smart, making constant tags to keep each other fresh."

Adam Dennis
"That's just tag wrestling 101 right there. Keep yourself and your partner fresh. Quick tags on a constant basis. Caleb has a long history of tag teams, so he knows what he's doing, and I have no doubt he's been giving Greg some helpful tips."

Greg sits Dominik up and applies a Seated Headlock, to slow down the pace of the match and try to weaken Diveraz even more. The Spanish superstar is in the middle of the ring, with a man whom is fifty pounds plus over his weight applying pressure to his head and neck area. Obviously he isn't going to get to the ropes any time soon. Much-like Caleb did earlier to get the crowd clapping for Greg, Takumi repeatedly smacks the top turnbuckle pad and the audience begins clapping for Diveraz. Backstabbers! Diveraz's leg begins to shake as the audience claps. He's feeling it right now. Whatever it is, I have no clue, but he's feeling it. He begins to pull himself back up to a vertical base, as Greg tries to keep the hold applied, but it becomes a bit awkward. Once footed, Diveraz starts elbowing away at Greg's still-hurting mid-section. Eventually, one final hard elbow shot causes Greg to release the Headlock. Diveraz quickly leaps into the air and sends both of his feet into the mid-section of his Maine-born opponent with a low-landing Dropkick. The impact of the move causes Greg to slide back and slip onto all fours. Dominik follows this up with a stern and painful kick to the mid-section of his opposition, causing Samuel to flip onto his back. Diveraz then leaps into the air and drops an elbow straight on Greg's abdomen!

Ted Cedar
"Dominik is really putting in work on Greg's mid-section. He could have internal bleeding by now!"

Adam Dennis
"Hey, XWA's wrestlers are the toughest athletes in the World. I'm sure Greg can handle this perfectly fine."

Greg rolls around on the canvas in pain, pressing both arms against his stomach. Dominik, still in a horrible mood, feels absolutely no remorse in what he's doing. He drags Samuel into the center of the ring and goes for a pin, but it's a kickout at two once more. The Spanish superstar angrily shoots a dirty look at the referee before taking in a deep breath and shaking his head. He slaps himself on the dome a couple of times whilst he can be seen muttering the word "estupido", as if he's blaming himself for not getting the win yet. He looks over at his corner to see Takumi still eagerly waiting to get into this match. He simply ignores his partner some more and lifts Greg back up to a vertical base. He Irish Whips Samuel into one of the unoccupied corners of the ring and then runs after him, only for "The Maine Attraction" to raise his boot up straight into Dominik's face, causing him to stumble backwards. Greg quickly makes a bolt for his corner and tags Caleb in, much to the delight of the crowd. Caleb jumps into the ring and takes Diveraz down with a Clothesline. The Spanish superstar gets back up quickly only to be taken down by a second Clothesline. Once again, he bounces back up to his feet and this time he dashes at his opponent, only for Caleb to send him over the top rope with a Back Body Drop! Dominik manages to land on the apron, fortunately for him, and he quickly kicks Caleb in the side of the head as he turned around to check on "The Mystic Midget". Spires stumbles into the center of the ring as Diveraz clutches the top rope with both hands. He leaps into the air, springboarding off of the top rope and looking for a Clothesline to the back of Caleb's head and neck. Showcasing surprisingly good ring awareness, Caleb quickly back-flips and catches his opponent, upon his landing, right in the head with a huge Pele Kick dubbed the Encore! The audience jumps out of their seats at the huge reversal as Dominik and Caleb lying on the canvas; Dominik for obvious reasons and Caleb because the earlier kick to his head caused some serious dizziness.

Ted Cedar
"Oh my! What a huge reversal into the Encore by Caleb!"

Adam Dennis
"I don't know how he knew Dominik was leaping into the air behind him. Must've been pure instincts. This guy's like a freaking ninja."

Referee Ryu looks to check if both guys are potentially down and out and then begins a count to ten. The audience cheers both men on, as do their respective partners from their respective corners. By the count of four, Caleb begins to stir. He slowly starts making his way back up to a vertical base, whilst Diveraz has yet to move. By the count of seven, Diveraz finally begins to move as Caleb is nearly up. Spires stands straight up as the referee waves him off to let the audience know he hasn't been counted out. At the count of nine, nearly at ten, Diveraz also manages to make it to a perpendicular base, just in time! This doesn't protect him from the shot to the head that Caleb proceeds to give him, however. Diveraz replies with a hard Knife Edge Chop to the chest, accompanied with a "WOO" from the crowd. The two exchange shots, Caleb hitting right hooks to the head accompanied with cheers from the fans as Diveraz lands Knife Edge Chops accompanied with Ric Flair theatrics from the fans. Eventually it's Caleb whom gets the upperhand, landing three consecutive punches to the head, before pulling Diveraz in with an Irish Whip. The small man reverses it into an Irish Whip of his own, however, sending Spires to the ropes. Caleb bounces off of them and runs back, as Diveraz drops to the canvas and lets his opponent run straight passed him. "The Elite One" continues running and ricochets off of the ropes, this time returning for Diveraz to leap-frog over him. Once more, Caleb bounces off of the opposing set of ropes and returns. This time, however, he returns to receive a Dropkick attempt from "Señor Beaner". All it was was an attempt, however, as Caleb smacked his opponent's feet out of the way. Diveraz tries to get back to his feet as quickly as possible, but it's for no good reason as it just leads him into a Dropkick from Caleb that nails him directly in the cheek!

Ted Cedar
"What an incredible tag team match we're witnessing here tonight. Both teams are putting on one hell of a battle. Well, one and a half of the teams, because Dominik refuses to tag his partner in!"

Adam Dennis
"Hey, I get it. Dominik wants to prove he's a great competitor. His ego was shot after losing the Intercontinental Championship in one week. I can understand why he wants to go it alone tonight. May not be the wisest decision, but you gotta admire his dedication."

Caleb goes for the cover, but Ryu only manages to slap the canvas twice before the small Spanish superstar kicks out. Caleb looks over at his corner and sees Greg anxious to get back into this battle. Not as anxious as Takumi, mind you, but anxious. Caleb drags the small opponent of his over to his team's corner and then tags Greg in. Caleb whispers something into his new partner's ear and Samuel nods. The two of them then house Dominik into a seated position atop the turnbuckle; his back to the ring. They both climb to the middle turnbuckle and each wrap one hand around the neck of Diveraz, as Ryu warns for Caleb to get out of the ring. The audience look on, wondering what's about to happen, when Caleb and Greg pull Dominik backwards off of the top turnbuckle, with a double Inverted Superplex! The crowd pops loudly for the huge maneuver, as Caleb exits the ring and Greg goes for the pin. Once again, twice Ryu's hand comes down before the small man with a big heart kicks out, much to Greg and Caleb's dismay.

Ted Cedar
"I can't believe Dominik just kicked out of that! That was huge!"

Adam Dennis
"Hell, I'm surprised too. This little guy's got guts. That's for damn sure. If he wants to make it out of this match alive, though, he needs to make a tag."

Greg looks at the downed opponent of his, still pressing one arm against his stomach as it's still quite hurt. He ponders what his next course of action should be, before coming up with an idea. He raises both hands in the air and yells out loudly, "Fatal Attraction!" The audience pops loudly as Greg calls for his finishing move, the Lifting Reverse STO obviously called the Fatal Attraction, whilst Takumi looks on with worry before screaming, "Tag me, Dominik!" Greg, feeding off of the cheers from the audience, lifts Dominik up to a vertical base before wrapping his arm around his neck in a Uranage. Before he can lift his opposition into the air to land the maneuver, however, Dominik begins fighting back with elbow shots to the head! He lands shot after shot after shot, each one more powerful and intense than the last one was. Eventually, Greg is forced to let go of the hold, freeing up Dominik to leap into the air and slam the tip of his boot into Greg's face with a huge Gamengiri! Samuel drops like a sack of potatoes as Dominik slowly tries to get back up to his feet.

Ted Cedar
"Just when you think it was over for Diveraz, he manages to fight his way free and land what was one of the most devastating Gamengiri's I've ever seen."

Adam Dennis
"That right there would make Toshiaki Kawada proud."

Dominik slowly walks over to his team's corner to try to catch his breath, but Takumi surprises him by making a blind tag! "¿Qué demonios estás haciendo?" Dominik asks his partner, whom simply ignores him; having had enough of standing on the apron and waiting. Ryu forces Dominik to exit the ring and Takumi immediately goes after Greg, whom is slowly reaching his feet. He lands a sharp kick to the side of his right leg, before landing a second and then a third. He follows this up with a vicious Roundhouse Kick that sends Samuel stumbling towards the ropes, falling through them and to the outside. Fortunately for his team, Caleb was able to make a blind tag whilst Greg was falling out of the ring. It's possible he was just trying to catch him and failed, but regardless, the official counted it as a tag. Caleb enters the ring and immediately locks horns with the fresh Japanese wrestler as the two grapple in the center of the ring with a Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up. This is soon transitioned into a Side Headlock by Takumi, whom pulls his opponent to the canvas with a Side Headlock Takedown, whilst keeping the hold applied. Caleb slams his arms off the canvas in an attempt to let off some steam before trying to figure a way out of this. He then lifts his legs up and wraps them around Takumi's head, reversing the Headlock into a Head Scissors. Takumi wastes no time in kipping up, sliding his head free in the process. Caleb quickly gets back to his feet and the two stare each other down.

Ted Cedar
"It seems Caleb and Takumi have reached a stalemate. Caleb is the more experienced wrestler of the two, but Takumi is fresher, having finally made it into the match."

Adam Dennis
"I'm not sure what Takumi was thinking when he tagged himself in. Dominik had things under control."

Ted Cedar
"He was worried, Adam! His partner and good friend has taken a lot of damage so far in this match and Takumi just wanted to make sure he didn't take any more."

Adam Dennis
"I think he was just doing it to spite Dominik. He wants to be a glory hog."

The two men in the ring begin circling each other as if it was the beginning of the contest. Caleb is the first to make a move, but Sanu showcases his agility by swiftly sliding behind his opposition. He applies a Waist Lock, appearing to be setting up for a German Suplex. He goes for the maneuver, in a release variation, but now it's Caleb showcasing his agility as he manages to do a full back flip and land on his feet behind his opposition. Having heard Caleb's feet hit the canvas, Takumi quickly spins around and drills his opponent directly in the face with his elbow to land a one hundred and eighty degree variation of his Discus Elbow Smash dubbed the Hiji Panchi! With his opponent now down, Takumi climbs up the nearest turnbuckle until he reaches the very top. He stands with his back to the ring, but looks back to make sure his opponent was right in the perfect position. Once Caleb made it to this position, Takumi turned his head back around and then leaped in to the air, rotating his body one hundred and eighty degrees to the left whilst somersaulting, in an attempt to land his Phoenix Dragonrana dubbed the Subarashii. In a surprising turn of events, Caleb showcases incredible strength for his size by catching his slightly bigger opponent on his shoulders! He then proceeds to run forward and Powerbomb the Japanese wrestler onto the turnbuckles! A loud thud is heard from Takumi hitting the turnbuckles, as Caleb takes a few steps back and tries to catch his breath.

Ted Cedar
"Huge Powerbomb by Caleb! And what a reversal!"

Adam Dennis
"I'll tell you what, Takumi is giving him one hell of a fight at least. I guarantee Caleb didn't expect that from some guy he probably never even heard of before he returned to XWA."

Caleb stumbles his way over to Takumi, clearly feeling the effects of this match, as he grabs Sanu by his head. The Japanese superstar fights back, however, with a few shots to the mid-section of Spires. After a final shot that sends Caleb to one knee, holding his stomach in pain, Takumi quickly runs over to his opponents' corner of the ring and nails Greg in the head with an elbow shot to knock him off the apron. He turns around and targets Caleb for a Clothesline, but the XWA legend ducks under it and Takumi runs straight passed him, making sure to stop himself before hitting the turnbuckle. He turns around, when suddenly – SMACK! – The sound of Caleb's boot meeting Takumi's chin echoes throughout the arena as Caleb lands his finishing maneuver; the Lights Out Superkick! Takumi drops to the canvas, but whilst dropping Dominik extends his hand over the top rope and makes a blind tag, unbeknownst to Caleb, whom pulls Takumi into the center of the ring. Ryu motions for Caleb to get off of Takumi as "The Elite One" looks on in confusion. He gets back to his feet and asks the referee what's going on only for Ryu to inform him that Dominik made the blind tag. Realizing the danger he's now in, Caleb turns his attention towards his oppositions' corner, but it's too late. Dominik had already leaped off of the top turnbuckle, rotating his body backwards in a Shooting Star manner. By the time Caleb had turned around, it was just enough time for Diveraz to latch onto both of his shoulders and drive his knees into the chest of his opponent, pulling him down with a Shooting Star Lungblower; Dominik's finisher, the Magnífico Matanza! With Greg still down on the outside, and Takumi also laid out from the Lights Out Superkick, Diveraz goes for the cover. Ryu smacks his hands off the canvas; once, twice, three times!

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar
"Dominik and Takumi win! What a huge upset!"

Adam Dennis
"How the hell is that an upset? These two are a great team. Granted, Caleb and Greg are two great wrestlers in their own rights, but they clearly don't have the same chemistry that Dominik and Takumi have!"

Ted Cedar
"What match were you watching, Adam? Takumi and Dominik weren't on the same page at all during that match!"

Adam Dennis
"Whatever…"

Cultural Experience's theme hits the PA system as Dominik bounces around the ring, ecstatic that his team got the huge victory; even more-so because he was the one that made the pin. Caleb slides out of the ring, where he and Greg regroup. Takumi slowly gets back to his feet, unaware that the match is even over. "We won, mi amigo!" Dominik shouts with excitement. Takumi looks on, confused but happy.

Laura Watts
"Here are your winners, by pinfall, Dominik Diveraz and Takumi Sanu; Cultural Experience!"

Ted Cedar
"Huge win tonight for these young superstars. You can only wonder what the future holds next for them."

Vendetta comes to an end with Dominik and Takumi celebrating in the center of the ring.

Samuel and Spires vs. Cultural Experience Empty
PostSubject: Re: Samuel and Spires vs. Cultural Experience   Samuel and Spires vs. Cultural Experience EmptySat Aug 17, 2013 11:18 pm

All four men of the main event have made their entrances and are getting ready for the main event of the evening. The tag team of Cultural Experience, Dominik Diveraz and Takumi Sanu, whisper to one another most likely going over the game plan for the match, Sanu with the most serious of faces on.  The tag team of Spires and Samuel, however, take a different approach to start off the pre-match. Caleb throws rock and Greg throws scissors. Anyone who is familiar with the game of rock, paper, scissors knows that The Elite One has won the contest and he will start off the match. Looking jokingly dejected, The Maine Attraction makes his way to the apron in the corner that his partner and he will be staying in for the match. Spotted by Samuel’s feet is a Spanish to English translating book, obviously used for any time The Mystic Midget talks. Finally, the Mystic Midget and Sento-Ki have reached an agreement, and the Japan native lives the ring so that his Mexican teammate can start off the match against the 5x heavyweight champion. As the Orgasmic Legend walks around on his side of the ring to get prepared for the last match of the night, Diveraz smirks and mouths “Usted acaba de perder su tiempo traduciendo esto.” These words are lost on Caleb who was never very good in Spanish class, but nonetheless, they get him riled up. The referee confirms with both men that they are ready for the beginning of the match, to which both nod and the referee signals for the match to get underway.

~Ding! Ding! Ding!~

The Mystic Midget wastes absolutely no time pouncing on the 5x heavyweight champion, completely non-intimidated as he locks up with him. After a bit of pushing back and forth, Spires shoves him halfway across the ring, making the Taco Bell Warrior fall down and get right back up to his feet, not making the decision to pounce quite as fast as he had a few seconds ago. Caleb’s eyes light up in excitement. Somebody remarkably smaller than him! FINALLY! This relieves him very much so. Still, this does not stop Dominik from coming back into another tie up, hoping he can get the upper hand this time. Well, he doesn’t. He instead receives a knee to the midsection, making him double over as he gasps for air. Before Double D even realizes it, Caleb has his hands wrapped around his waist, hoists him in the air, and takes him onto his back for a German suplex. The force Diveraz was thrown onto his back/neck with did not feel too good, and Spires hops up, ready to keep the action moving forward with someone who has as much, if not more energy than him. On the apron, Samuel casually interacts with the crowd, being humorous and trying to get them hyped for the match. MexiMelt is back up to his feet and is grabbed by Spires who decides to try and keep his size advantage rolling. The Elite One Irish whips the much smaller Diveraz into the opposite ropes and charges him on the return. Caleb nearly decapitates Dominik with a clothesline so forceful it sends The Mystic Midget twirling in the air before crashing to the mat. Spires throws his arms up, playing off to the crowd who are split about 60/40 in favor of the team of Caleb and Greg.

Ted Cedar: “It looks like the general manager has finally found a competitor smaller than him.”

Adam Dennis: “And he’s having sooooo much fun bullying him. What a great guy Caleb is, definitely deserving of all these cheers. I wish I could beat up on a midget.”

The Taco Bell Warrior retreats, crawling into a vacant corner to get a short resting period as he knows Spires’ energy is still high, but also knowing he can outlast Spires. The Elite One is not wanting to take the risk of him getting back to full stamina, and he charges the corner that Double D is currently residing in, ready to inflict more pain. But as Caleb comes charging, Diveraz spins his elbow that manages to land right on target, back elbow striking The legend right in the face, causing his head to snap back and walk away from the corner as he buries his eye into his palms, his vision completely off of his adversary. When your adversary is as quick Dominik Diveraz, this is an awful decision. Before Spires even has the opportunity to see what’s going on, The MexiMelt clutches the top rope, springs onto the second rope facing away from Caleb, and bounces off, turning in the air and colliding body-to-body with The Elite One, taking him down with a flying crossbody. The crowd lets out a small pop for the first aerial move as Dominik goes for the cover.

1-2

The Orgasmic Legend kicks out, sending the 5’4 Double D rolling off of him. Stopping the beating that he might be going through in a moment, Caleb wisely scoots over to his corner and tags in his partner, Greg Samuel. The camera pans in closer to the face of Caleb, showing that he now has a swollen eye from the elbow he received. Greg being tagged in gets a nice reception from the crowd as The Maine Attraction enters the ring jumping over the top rope. Diveraz tries cutting him off with a shot to the face, which is blocked by Samuel throwing up his arm. Greg then proceeds to send a forearm right into Dominik’s face, making him stumble back. The second forearm to his face knocks Diveraz off of his feet completely and back into his corner, thus tagging in Takumi. Takumi enters the ring as The Taco Bell Warrior rolls out of it. Greg goes for a clothesline on Sanu, but the Japanese sensation ducks under it and catches Samuel off balance. Samuel turns around to see Takumi going for a kick to the gut, which the former intercontinental champion counters by catching his foot. Exactly as Maunten planned, as he quickly brings his other foot up, catching Greg in the side of the head for an enzuigiri, damn-near knocking Samuel unconscious. Takumi goes for the pin attempt.

1-2

Samuel kicks out, sending Sanu off of him. Sento-Ki gets back to his feet, stalking Samuel who is attempting to get back up to his base. Once the XWA veteran makes it back up, Takumi grabs him by the arm, puts it behind his neck, and wraps him around the waist. Sanu takes Greg back, trying a belly-to-belly suplex, but the athletic Maine Attraction will have none of it, over rotating out of it and landing on his feet. The fans are in awe of his amazing counter and when Takumi turns around, he is met with a European uppercut taking him off of his feet as he falls backward onto the mat. Instead of going for the cover, Greg uses this chance to show off that he and Spires have some nice tag team chemistry. He pulls Sanu back up to his feet and places him on top of his shoulders in a fireman carry. He walks to his corner and Caleb reaches out, tapping his arm. The Elite One slips into the ring, and gets a running start as he bounces off the ropes. When he comes back, The Maine Attraction drops their adversary to the mat by means of a Samoan drop. As Sanu is being dropped by his tag team partner, Caleb takes it upon himself to use all of his running momentum, by jumping and flipping through the air, grabbing the plummeting Takumi by the neck, and driving him into the mat with a hellacious flipping neckbreaker that gets a great reaction from the crowd, seeing two of their favorites working together in a nice way.

Ted Cedar: “I was wondering how long it would take the tag team experience of Caleb to come in. As we all know, he is an 8x tag team champion in his career and has never lost a 2-on-2 tag team match in XWA.”

Adam Dennis: “You say that as though Cultural Experience hasn’t had success as a tag team. They’ve been tag team champions together. Have Spires and Samuel? No. So stop being biased and do your damn job.”

Cedar fails to see how he was being biased, but chooses not to comment, in fear of Dennis never shutting up. Sanu is temporarily immobilized, and The Orgasmic Legend finds it to be the perfect time to go for the cover.

1-2-

Takumi kicks out without too much of a problem, throwing The Elite One off of his body. As Sento-Ki begins getting up to his feet, slowly and with the help of some nearby ropes, the 5x heavyweight champion plans out what he wants to do next. Once Takumi turns around and faces Spires, he is met with a nice kick, straight to the gut. The Elite One then acts fast, leaping in the air as he attempts a tornado DDT. Once Caleb takes lift off and jumps in the air, his legs are both clutched by Sanu, countering his attempt. Sanu takes him over to the ropes and drops him over the top and out to the apron. Maunten backs up, and tries to drive a shoulder into the sternum of Spires to knock him off the apron. He goes through the middle rope, but instead of dropping Caleb to the floor, he gets a knee to the face. This dazes the Japanese wonder for a second, making him step back as he holds his aching head, giving Spires the opportunity to spring up to the top rope, fly off, and collide with Takumi as flips through the air performing a springboard rolling senton bomb sending Sanu crashing to the mat. The crowd is hyped up for The Elite One who is getting on a roll, and he plays off of this by screaming “THAT’S RIGHT BABY!” He is now just starting to get rolling, so he doesn’t even try to go for the pin that he knows he wouldn’t even get. Maunten is definitely dazed from the knee and the senton, so Spires figures that picking him up to his feet would speed the process up a bit. And it does; it just also backfires on him. Because once Caleb lifts him up, he gets him in a normal STO position, ready to go for his Caution. But as he lifts up, Sanu doesn’t budge. Instead, he begins elbowing Spires in the back of the head, trying to get free from his grasps. After 3 or 4 elbows, it is enough to weaken Spires and get him to let go of the hold. He then proceeds to use Caleb’s earlier attempt against him, tucking The Elite One’s head under his arm, leaping in the air, and driving his head into the mat, tornado DDT style, beautiful enough to get the crowd screaming. Sanu wonders if it will be enough(but in some weird ass language that we can’t interpret)  as he drops down and goes for the cover.

1-2-

No dice as The Orgasmic Legend manages to kick out, despite being incredibly dazed. The Taco Bell Warrior leans over the top rope with his hand out, hoping to be tagged in by his partner. Sento-Ki looks a bit confused at first, but after a couple seconds gathers what the gesture means. Takumi grabs the 5x heavyweight champion by the hair and drags him toward the corner where Cultural Experience is residing. As MexiMelt tags himself in, he begins ascending to the top rope, rather than just get into the ring. The fans are anxious to see what the two might have planned. Sanu picks Spires up and holds him in the air, upside down, ready for a suplex in the center of the ring. The Elite One kicks and wiggles a little, but Sento-Ki manages to keep him in place long enough for Diveraz to get his move together. Dominik doesn’t keep Takumi waiting any longer than he already has as he leaps off the top rope, stick both feet out and plants them into the chest of the upside down Spires, delivering the missile dropkick from hell. Of course, with the missile dropkick comes a reaction out of Caleb. The force of the dropkick sends him falling back while Sanu drops him onto his back with a delayed vertical suplex completing a tag team maneuver getting the fans talking amongst themselves. The referee instructs Sanu to leave, who complies after the ref uses some hand motions to clear up what he is trying to instruct him to do. Once Takumi is on the outside, this gives Double D the chance to go for the pin.

1-2-

The heart of Caleb is shown immensely as he kicks out with all of his might, getting his fan base back into the match. However, the last few moves have really taken a toll on Spires, and it seems as though the Super Mexican is aware of this, knowing that he has Caleb wrapped around his finger. The Orgasmic Legend tries getting back up to his feet, his gas tank finally beginning to wear out as he reaches his hands and knees. Dominik is one step ahead of him, charging the ropes, springing onto the second one, and bouncing off as he flies toward Spires. Diveraz swings his foot right into the face of The Elite One catching him in the face courtesy of a springboard spinning heel kick, just adding to the swollen black eye that The Elite One received earlier in the match.

Adam Dennis: “A midget is taking it to Spires. A god damn midget. He really needs to reevaluate his career, because I’m starting to think that those world championships were a fluke.”

Ted Cedar: “Adam, you can’t honestly believe that. You know Dominik Diveraz is a great superstar. Very fast, very athletic…”

Adam Dennis: “And very 4 feet tall! I’ve seen 3rd graders that look more intimidating than him.”

Dominik rises to his feet throwing his arms up to play to the crowd as he yells out “Caleb no tiene juevos!” Those who understand Spanish get a nice laugh out of it, but Diveraz knows he can’t joke around too much, and catches his focus which is the crawling Caleb, inching his way toward his partner who has his hand stretched out as far as it will go in an attempt to get the tag in. The Mystic Midget cuts this attempt off by grabbing Spires by the ankle and dragging him toward the corner of Cultural Experience. Diveraz props Caleb up in the corner, Caleb too groggy to know what is coming next, and The Taco Bell Warrior tags in his Japanese counterpart. Sento-Ki enters the ring, and grabs Spires into a scoop slam position. He lifts The Elite One up, and then drops him immediately down onto his knee, crushing him with a backbreaker that makes Spires scream out in agonizing pain. Instead of letting him drop, Sanu holds him on his knee for a second, giving Diveraz the chance to get a bit more damage in before leaving. Dominik springboards off the second rope yet again, this time doing a backflip that lands right on his target of The Elite One. He moonsaults as impressive as he can, driving him even further into the knee of Takumi and making him fall off of the Japa-KNEES(Get it? Because… Ehh, fuck it) and arch his back in pain as he breathes heavily. Sento-Ki drops on top of him, hooking a leg, and the fans fear it might be over.

1-2-

The Orgasmic Legend manages to kick out on his own. However, Samuel was already halfway in the ring, ready to make an attempt at a dive to prevent the pin from being called. At this point, the 5x heavyweight champion is easy pickings. He has been devoured, digested, and shit out on the mat as he lie there with a swollen eye and struggling to get feeling in his back. Unlike Dominik, Sanu does not want to play around. He wants to wear Spires down and beat him fast as possible. While he lies on the mat, unmoving, Takumi sits down behind him. He traps his arms, locks both legs around Spires neck, and grabs his own leg, locking in a devastating Chokuauto (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNGfa19mRH0). The crowd is riled up, many in live attendance thinking Spires might have to pass out. Greg tries to get in the ring to break the hold, but Dominik follows his movement to let him know that if he interferes, he will attack him. Oxygen is being driven out of The Elite One’s system and his face begins losing its color, drifting paler and paler by the second. He flails his arms around the ring, hoping to clutch a rope or nail Sanu in the face; anything that can get him out of this. “Harder! Squeeze harder!” instructs The Mystic Midget off to the side as he stares on intently, hoping the submission hold will be enough to put out Spires who looks to be fading away.

Ted Cedar: “The Chokuatuo is applied, and locked in very deep! I don’t think Caleb has ever been in this move, leaving us to wonder if he knows how to get out of it.”

Adam Dennis: “I don’t think Caleb wants to get out of it. I mean, let’s face it, he’s used to having guys legs wrapped around his head.”

Ted Cedar: “…..Thank you for that visual.”

Half of the fans are cheering for Caleb to get out of the hold, the other half wanting Takumi to make him go out for two different reasons; Cultural Experience has a nice fan base as well, and many people like to see huge upsets. And by the way Sanu keeps tightening his legs, nearly crushing the neck of The Elite One, more and more people are starting to think he might go out. He is losing feeling in his body, but damn it Caleb is going to fight. He begins scooting toward his corner as best as he can, with the little strength he has left. If he can’t get the tag in, he at least needs to find a rope. Nothing is working. His legs aren’t powerful enough to get him to his partner or the ropes at this point. It looks like he may have to pass out or tap out, because the hold is locked in deep and he may not get out of it. His hand hovers a few inches above the mat, ready to tap out, but the call out from his partner prevents him from it. “Caleb, don’t tap out! You’re better than this!” All of the loyal Spires fans are stomping their feet and doing whatever to make noise, trying to bring him back into it, and he realizes he NEEDS to find a way out when he hatches an idea. In a rare, but not unheard of, occurrence, The Elite One decides to get dirty. He reaches his hand back and starts clawing at The Japanese man’s face, making Sanu scream out in pain and loosen the grip. The referee notices what Spires is doing and is not happy about it. He gives him a 5-count to break the hold, but with each second, Spires makes his attempt at prying out Takumi’s eye even more brutal. “1! 2! 3!” by the count of 3, Sento-Ki cannot take it anymore. He releases the hold on Caleb, who releases his cheap eye-gouge on him in return. The vision of Sanu is impaired for a short amount of time, so he makes a wise decision and crawls over to his tag team partner and tags in his Mexican friend. Diveraz enters the ring with intentions of ending Spires. He waits for The Elite One to get back up to his feet, which takes what seems like an eternity judging how long he was being choked out. Once he finally does make it to his feet and stumbles around a bit, almost falling down, Dominik rushes at him, about to set him up for his finisher, Matanza. As if on instinct, and while falling back down, Caleb manages to cut Double D’s attempt at offense short as he roundhouse kicks him right in the temple, knocking Diveraz straight off of his feet and down to one knee, too dizzy to retaliate. The fans are going wild at the first offense of Caleb in quite some time. They are clapping loudly, trying to encourage him as he begins crawling toward Samuel, who is more than anxious to get into the match as he hollers at him “Come on! Almost there!” Dominik realizes what is going on as he is just a few feet away from getting the tag in, and The Mystic Midget dives onto The Elite One’s legs, clutching them with all his might to make sure he doesn’t get the tag in. Well, eff that noise declares Caleb as a figure of speech. He brings his knees up to his chest and kicks outward as hard as he can, sending Dominik flying off of him and fumbling across the mat. Before Diveraz gets the chance to stop him again, The Hall of Famer gets within reach and slaps the hand of Greg Samuel.

Ted Cedar: “Greg comes in for the save! I think business is about to pick up!”

Adam Dennis: “You know, I read a dirt sheet online today that said Greg Samuel was gay…... No proof or anything, but I wouldn’t doubt it. Take it for what it’s worth.”

Samuel slides into the ring and charges at Dominik, who is also charging toward him. Diveraz, still disappointed from his Intercontinental Championship loss last week, reaches up and attempts the clothesline on the bigger Samuel. “The Maine Attraction” is able to duck the oncoming attack from the smaller man. Using all the momentum he has built up, Greg charges into the corner where Sanu is standing and blasts him in the face with a fist, sending him tumbling down to the padded mat on the outside. While Takumi reels from the unexpected shot he just took. Samuel turns around to see Dominik charging at him yet again. Without even thinking, Greg raises a boot up and connecting to the face of the oncoming “MexiMelt.” Divarez’s head snaps back as he falls to mat, colliding hard. “The Mystic Midget” is quick back to a vertical base despite being a little scatter-brained after the boot. As soon as he gets back to his feet, Dominik finds himself in the grips of the former Million Dollar Champion. Samuel takes Divarez’s arm and Irish whips him across the ring. The man who lost the Intercontinental Championship last week uses this momentum to leap up and springboard off the second rope. At the last second, Samuel realizes Divarez is attempting a moosault crossbody and is able to evade the attack. The agile “MexiMelt” lands on his feet behind Greg. Using his quick thinking, “The Maine Attraction” takes a look behind, measuring how far away Divarez is, then takes him by the neck, drops down to a knee and pulls him forward, sending the Mexican superstar down to the mat with a snapmare. A little discombobulated, Dominik sits on the mat as Samuel charges into the ropes that the sitting man is facing. After bouncing off of the ropes, Greg charges back at the former Intercontinental Champion and dives down at him before sticking out and arm and connecting with a powerful clothesline. Divarez’s upper body all snaps back to the mat as Greg’s arm drives him down, leaving some lasting impact on his neck. Looking to seize the opportunity, Greg hooks the outside leg.

1-2-

Divarez is able to kick out before the ref gets to the three count. Samuel is a little disappointed, hoping that he could get the win for the team.

Ted Cedar: “Dominik Diviarez kicks out, proving that he has more fight than that.”

Adam Dennis: “My question Ted is… When was the last time a clothesline won a match?”

Ted Cedar: “1994, it was Lex Luger vs. Randy Savage.”

Adam Dennis: “Really?”

Ted Cedar: “Nope.”

Determined to continue his momentum, Samuel works his way back to a vertical base, taking “The Taco Bell Warrior” by the head and getting him back to his feet as well. Before the former Million Dollar Champion can capitalize, Dominik pushes his hands out of the way and lands a stiff elbow shot to the face. “The Maine Attraction” staggers back a little, holding his face to check for bleeding. Diveraz cleverly falls back into the ropes and slaps the hand of Takumi in the process, getting a tag. “MexiMelt” charges back at Samuel before leaping up into the air, getting his legs around the neck of Samuel and sending him to a sitting position on the mat with a huricanrana. Dizzy and unsuspected, Samuel soon finds himself stuck on the tracks as the train that is Takumi Sanu comes sweeping through. Using all his power, “Sento-Ki” drives a knee into Samuel’s face, sending him down to the mat on impact. Greg kicks around in pain and sinks his face into his hands after the hard shot. Takumi drops down and hooks both legs, looking to finish off “The Maine Attraction.”

1-2-

Greg stills has fight left in him, though it might be hard for him to mount any offense after the shot he just took. Takumi takes Greg by the shoulders and sits him up. Sanu then begins driving elbows down on “Beast Mode’s” neck. For Samuel, flashbacks of Revolutionary Wars kick in his brain as he takes the lefts and rights from Sanu. Greg’s head is bouncing back and forth with each shot. After a flurry of shots, “Sento-Ki” takes Samuel by the head and leaps over him doing a flip and landing on his back as “The Maine Attraction’s” head snaps off the mat. Greg lies out on the mat, clutching his neck as Takumi makes his way over to the corner. Sanu tags in Dominik, who is eager to get back into this match. Knowing that his partner stands a decreased chance against the fresher man, Caleb is extending an arm, pleading with Greg to get the tag. Immediately, Divarez rushes into the ropes. As he comes rushing back, Takumi times his run. In perfect synchronization, Dominik leaps and rolls forward in mid air before landing on Samuel’s midsection with a Running Senton as Takumi leaps and lands a Leg Drop on the neck. Greg’s legs shoot up in the air on impact and the ref is working on Sanu, trying to get him out of the ring. Takumi cooperates, leaving the ring. Looking to keep Samuel below him to combat the height advantage, Dominik begins stomping on the chest of Samuel. After a half a dozen stomps, Samuel is panting heavily and kicking around in pain as Divarez lets up on the attack.

Ted Cedar: “I’ll tell you one thing. I wouldn’t want to be the man across the ring from Divarez a week after he lost that Intercontinental Championship.”

Adam Dennis: “Say that a little louder, see if you can get him to hear that and come over here and kick our asses for mentioning it.”

“MexiMelt” charges into the ropes and jumps up, bouncing off the second rope before doing a Corkscrew Moonsault and landing on the midsection of Samuel. Greg’s legs shoot up in the air from impact. Looking to finish off the opposite team, Dominik hooks a leg.

1-2-

Samuel is out with plenty of time, not ready to let this match end yet. Dominik swings a leg over so is he kneeling on each side of Samuel. The man who lost the Intercontinental Championship last week takes Greg by the back of the head and with his free hand begins driving shots into the forehead. With each blow, Greg’s body twitches a little. The ref is trying to get Divarez off of Samuel, and after about 8 shots to the forehead he does so.  Dominik then looks down on “The Maine Attraction” planning his next attack. After a couple of seconds, “MexiMelt” has a plan all ready to go. Once the former Million Dollar Champion has staggered back to his feet, Dominik leaps up, getting his knees up to chest height, obviously looking for Matanza. Unfortunately for Divarez, as he puts his hands around Greg’s neck, Samuel is able to keep the 157 pounder in the air. At this point, “The Mystic Midget” knows he’s in for something bad. Greg pushes Dominik up into the air a little more and readjusts so his shoulder is now driving into Divarez’s midsection. Samuel then directs Dominik down to the mat with a huge Spinebuster. Greg doesn’t fully commit, staying on a vertical base so the impact is lessened, but still very hard on the back of the luchador. Samuel staggers back into his corner and as he does, Caleb tags into the match, causing the crowd in the PNC Arena to explode with excitement (not literally.) Caleb quickly slides in the ring as Dominik rushes back to his feet, trying to combat the pain in his spine. Spires takes Divarez by the arm and Irish whips him across the ring. Dominik leans into the ropes and comes rocketing back toward Caleb. To add more momentum to the equation, Caleb begins to charge toward Divarez. Once he has gotten pretty close, the 5-time World Champion hops up, lifting a knee in the process. In Triple H style, Caleb drives that knee into the oncoming Dominik, sending him straight back down to the mat. As Divarez writhes in pain, clutching his face, Caleb drops down and looks to finish him off.

1-2-

Despite a scattered brain off of the high knee, Dominik kicks out. Caleb shows little anger at the kick out, looking to wear down the smaller opponent more than anything. Takumi is trying to get a tag in, extending his hand as far as it will go. Dominik pushes to his knees by the time Caleb has reached his feet. Spires sees the perfect opportunity and delivers a hard kickboxing like kick to the chest. The crowd in attendance let out a “YES!” chant after the kick. The impact of the kick causes Dominik to wrap his arms up near his chest and turn to avoid another impact. As Caleb plays to the crowd’s chant a little bit, Dominik sees an opening and tries to make it over for a tag. The veteran is too smart for that as he notices and breaks the attempt with a double axe handle to the back. “Sento-Ki’s” head drops as he thought they had the tag made before Caleb broke it up. Spires pulls Dominik into the center of the ring and begins to stomp on his chest. After only a couple stomps, Caleb backs off. Divarez is clutching his chest in pain after the boots. “The Elite One” turns back to the former Intercontinental Champion, looking to continue the offense. The crafty “MexiMelt” pulls his leg in close to his stomach and drives the bottom of his foot into the chest of Caleb, sending him backwards into the ropes.

Ted Cedar: “A counter from Dominik, this is his chance to get back into this match. He needs to get a tag to Takumi!”

Adam Dennis: “I believe this match is over if he doesn’t get a tag in right now.”

Caleb clutches his chest before trying to get back on the attack. Dominik climbs toward his corner, hoping he can manage a tag. Before he gets to the corner, Caleb grabs a hold of his leg. “The Elite One” smirks as he thinks he has Dominik right where he wants him. Divarez gets up on his other foot and turns to face Spires. Before the former World Champion can make anything of it, “The Mystic Midget” leaps up and drives a boot into the side of Caleb’s head, landing a beautiful Enziguri. Caleb and Dominik drop to the mat. As Spires kicks around, clutching the side of his head after the hard impact, the Luchador claws his way into the corner and gets the tag on the fully outstretched hand of Takumi. Domink uses the rest of his energy to slide onto the ring apron as Sanu slides into the ring. Caleb has reached his knees but not for long as “Sento-Ki” charges in, as fast as he can, and lands a rib shattering kick to the midsection of the former World Champion. Spires rolls onto his back, breathing heavily after the shot as he kicks around. Takumi drops down and hooks the outside leg, hoping that he will keep Caleb down.

1-2-

The three count just wont come for Cultural Experience as they look to grab a huge win over Samuel and Spires. Disappointment is all over the face of Sanu as he slowly pushes back to a vertical base. Once standing, Sanu grabs Caleb’s head and assists him back to his feet. Once he gets Spires back up, the Japanese wrestler uses his whole body to drive a forearm shot into the face. “The Elite One” staggers back into the ropes after the hard shot. Caleb rebounds toward Sanu, only to receive another one. “Sento-Ki” is extremely well versed in this style of wrestling, and it shows as he’s getting the best of Caleb at the moment. As the former World Champion bounces back from the second shot, Sanu takes him in and spins him around as if he was going to body slam him, but keeps spinning before dropping Caleb down on the waiting knee with a picture perfect Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker. Spires arches his back as the entire PNC arena cringes from the move. Sanu’s eyes widen as he sees a perfect opportunity. Sanu climbs up to the top rope and everyone knows what he has in mind.

Ted Cedar: “Looks to me like Takumi is looking for the Kaimetsu Tekina!”

Adam Dennis: “I’m impressed you pronounced that right…”

Takumi is set up perfectly for his Shooting Star Double Knee Drop. He takes a split second to point out and acknowledge the crowd before jumping. A beautiful flip in mid air sets Sanu up perfectly for his finishing knee drop, but the veteran Caleb has other plans. Caleb rolls out of the way, toward the center of the ring. Sanu meets the mat hard with his knees and shins taking all the impact. He rolls up in a ball, trying to fight the pain in his legs. At this time, “The Elite One” crawls to his corner, looking to get a fresher Samuel into this match. The crowd is dieing to see a tag, knowing that it’s vital for the team’s success. Caleb is able to get to the corner and get the tag, leaping forward to ensure he does. Greg quickly gets into the ring and pounces on a slowly recovering Sanu. Greg aids the opposition back to a vertical base, and “Sento-Ki” falls back into the corner. Samuel sees an opportunity and charges into the opposite corner before leaping up on the second turnbuckle. “The Maine Attraction” is only on the turnbuckle for a brief second before turning around and charging right back at Sanu. Greg leaps in the air and gets as much hang time; using his goalkeeper jumping skills, before landing down hard on Takumi with a Stinger Splash. Sanu flops out of the corner, down onto his knees. Not giving him one bit of breathing room, Samuel lifts Sanu back to a vertical base before taking him in a front facelock. “Beast Mode” then turns Takumi over, now in an inverted front facelock. Samuel then drops down to his stomach, driving the back of Sanu’s head into the mat with his signature, Great Pine Press. Takumi clutches the back of his head as Samuel pushes back to his feet. Upon arrival at his feet, Greg grabs at the back-left side of his tights, and then pretends to hold something up in the air. “I’VE GOT A GRENADE! Has Greg lost his mind? “DON’T DO IT MAN! TOO FAR! Well, the team of Spires and Samuel have gone over the deep end. Greg hesitates for a second and then brings his hand down to his mouth before whipping it away quickly, as if pulling the pin with his teeth. “The King of the Gannosuke Clutch” then pretends to throw the grenade up in the air, and then bolts off for the ropes. Greg comes charging back and then hits a point perfect elbow drop on Sanu’s chest. Takumi’s limbs shoot up in the air and Greg rolls around, acting as if his elbow had just been shattered. The PNC Arena is quick to catch on to Samuel’s games.

Ted Cedar: “Greg…I guess he just dropped a grenade on Takumi Sanu…”

Adam Dennis: “…THA FUCK?!”

Caleb hangs his head in shame, playing along with Greg. Samuel gets back to his feet and over at his side, Dominik is getting into the ring, obviously sick of the games. Divarez charges at Greg, who catches on quick enough to take a step back and guide “MexiMelt” out through the top and middle rope, causing him to collide on the outside. While this is going on, Sanu is slowly pushing back to his feet. At this point, “The Maine Attraction” goes over and tags in his partner; both men know exactly what the plan is. Caleb slides in the ring and grabs the rope immediately, turning to face the crowd. Greg sets up in the other corner, facing Sanu. As “Sento-Ki” pushes back to his feet, he is instantly met with a Caleb boot in his face, as Caleb slams him with the Lights Out Superkick. Sanu staggers around, facing Samuel who charges in and grabs him across the shoulders. Greg then lifts him a short 3 inches off the ground before dropping to his back and slamming him face first on the mat. That move is the one known by all Greg Samuel fans as the Fatal Attraction. Takumi is not moving as he just took two of the biggest stars in the companies finishers. Greg rolls out of the ring to make sure Dominik doesn’t get a chance to stop a pin. Caleb drops on top of Sanu and hooks both legs, taking every precaution to secure the win.

Ted Cedar: “Count to 105, he’s out!”

1-2-3!

“Fake It” by Seether plays and the crowd in the PNC Arena is all on their feet, applauding the team of Samuel and Spires. Greg slides back in the ring as Caleb gets to his feet. The ref holds the two men’s hands up.

Laura Watts: “Here are your winners with 11 and 7 points respectively in the World Championship Tounrament, “The Elite One” Caleb Spires and “The Maine Attraction” Greg Samuel!”

Greg and Caleb go to two adjacent corners and begin get up on the second rope as they both interact with the crowd. The ref checks to make sure Takumi is okay, as Dominik slides in the ring to check on his partner as well. Divarez looks disappointed coming off his second straight loss. Greg and Caleb jump down off the ropes and then turn to face Cultural Experience. Greg shakes Dominik’s hand as Caleb helps Sanu up and shakes his hand. They then switch handshake partners. Dominik and Takumi slide out of the ring, leaving the two victors in the ring alone. Greg turns to Caleb and then the two shake hands. Greg then holds Caleb’s hand up in the air to celebrate the victory. The crowd is still blaring with excitement. For a second straight week, Vendetta goes off the air to Caleb and Greg embracing each other in the middle of the ring.
