M6 | C5 Ion vs. Chris Dolmeth Empty
PostSubject: Re: M6 | C5 Ion vs. Chris Dolmeth   M6 | C5 Ion vs. Chris Dolmeth EmptySat Apr 26, 2014 7:42 pm

Laura Watts: “Ladies and gentlemen, the next match is scheduled for one fall, the winner of the match will progress in the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship tournament. Introducing first, weighing in at two hundred and seventy eight bounds, hailing out of ‘Gates-heed’, England… Chris Doooolmeth!”

There is little reaction to Ruiner’s “Two Words” as it hits the sound system and the drums thunder around the arena creating a melodic pulsing, after all Chris is a nobody to these people. A tall figure stands at the top of the entrance ramp, a leather hood shades his face from the watchful eyes of the punters. The man marches down to the ring, his head never lifting to view the XWA crowd. He doesn’t break stride as he approaches the ring side, turning and making his way up the steps, balancing himself on the apron.

Ted Cedar: “We saw this young man make his XWA debut last week in a losing effort to the number one contender for the XWA World Heavyweight Title, Hitman Alex.
Joey Miles: “You would have thought this dumbfuck would’ve learnt his lesson then, he’s not cut out for wrestling.”
Ted Cedar: “This week he’s entered into a tournament to decide the number one contender for JHalc’s Intercontinental title.”
Joey Miles: “And giving this kid that opportunity is a fucking disgrace too!”

It is on the apron that the Geordie finally reveals his face, swiftly removing his hood with his left hand in one – somewhat aggressive movement. He takes a deep breath in as he gazes at the arena, a subtle smirk sprouts out from the red-tinged forest of Christopher’s beard. He runs his fingers slowly down his scar before shedding his jacket and dumping it at ring side. Dolmeth lumbers over the top rope and rests himself against a turnbuckle awaiting the arrival of his opponent.

Laura Watts: “And his opponent, weighing in at two hundred and thirteen pounds and hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana he is the Creator of the Matrix… C5 Ion!”

"Senile" by Tyga hits, and the crowd starts to buzz. From backstage, C5 Ion emerges, and walks out to the ramp, bouncing slightly. He looks around and lets out a bloodcurdling howl before racing down to the ring and sliding in. He scrambles up a turnbuckle and howls again, and this time the fans respond with their own howls. Ion hops off the turnbuckle and heads to his corner, where he stares down the leather-clad leviathan.

Ted Cedar: “Ion will be looking to rectify his loss to Ellis Morgan last week.”
Joey Miles: “Two other names that have done nothing of merit. What’s with this influx of nobodies lately? Someone needs to fire the talent scouts and hire someone who actually knows what talent is.”

*DING DING DING*

The Indiana native opens the match up with a huge running dropkick planting both feet into his opponent’s chest, staggering the big man back into the corner. Ion is quick to his feet and once again dashes towards his adversary’s corner, leaving the ground and smashing his forearm into Dolmeth’s face whipping his head back. C5 grips Chris’ wrist and places a hand on his shoulder. The Matric Manufacturer pulls back and attempts to send the Englishman into the opposite corner, but the Brit turns around and ends up Irish whipping Ion instead. Rather than hitting the corner, Ion mantles up each turnbuckle individually before backflipping off of the top, all of his weight comes crashing down on top of ‘Meth, taking him down to the mat. Both men quickly get to their feet and face off once more, the bearded brawler stands with his fists raised in a half boxing guard, the American stood in an all-together more relaxed stance. The Terror of Tyneside throws a wild left hook, but the Creator of the Matrix back steps out of the way and delivers a harsh kick to his nemesis’ thigh. The Brit swings again and again the American delivers a stiff kick to the thigh, this time making the big man falter and bend down to massage his leg. C5 uses this opportunity and leaps into the air, twisting and planting the laces of his boot into the back of the giant, causing him to crash to the mat with a beautifully executed enzuigiri. He goes for a quick cover, forgetting to hook the leg.

[1]
[2]

Dolmeth rolls a shoulder up to break the referee’s count and continue the match. Ion places the sole of his boot into the gut of the downed Dolmeth, causing him to lurch up only to be met by a low kick straight into the chest, knocking him supine once more. C5 walks over to the nearest set of ring ropes as his opponent begins to stir on the mat. He hops over the top rope and lands comfortably on the apron of the ring. He crouches down, measuring the lumbering competitor as he struggles and stumbles up to his feet. He clutches at the back of his head wear Ion’s boot hit as the high flyer propels himself up onto the top rope and springboards off, his body gracefully soaring through the air. As gravity takes effect he manages to grab Chris’ head under arm, causing his legs to swing underneath him, pulling himself back first and his adversary head first into the mat much to the excitement of the crowd.

Joey Miles: “I must say I’m impressed with C5 Ion in this match. He’s been non-stop and hasn’t given Dolmeth a chance to get any offence in.”
Ted Cedar: “And listen to the crowd Joey, they’re really getting behind the aerial ace in this one.”

The fan favourite doesn’t go for a cover after the DDT and instead climbs up the turnbuckle, mounting himself atop. He flicks his head up, measuring the distance from the turnbuckle to his opponent and dives off of the ropes up into the air. He tucks his head in underneath his chin and begins to rotate mid-flight and crash lands back first into the canvas as Dolmeth rolls out of the way, narrowly avoiding the swanton bomb. The owner of the 450 splash’s back arches up off of the canvas, a hand trying to cover it in a futile attempt to ease the shooting pain that travels up his spine. The man with the best beard in the business [citation needed] begins to pull himself to his feet with the aid of the Vendetta ring ropes. Both hands wrapped around the top rope, he leans his face against it, breathing heavily from his mouth due to the onslaught that is C5 Ion. His cold, calculating eyes block out the arena, they see only Ion. Only their target. Dolmeth watches with stone-like gaze as the Creator of the Matrix brings himself up to his feet. C5 places both palms on his lower back and leans back, trying to stretch out the muscles. He slowly turns around only to be clipped in the jaw by the sole of the charging Gateshead native’s boot – the sound of which echoes around the arena with a sickening slap. Ion’s body twists almost a full hundred and eighty degrees before it collapses lifeless to the mat as Chris is forced to use the turnbuckle to put the brakes on. He stares out into the crowd and a sick smile beams through the beard. He turns around and mounts the downed opponent and - grasping the back of Ion’s head in his left hand – begins to reign down a feral volley of fists. The official attempts to pull the big man off of his victim but lacks the strength so begins the count for this illegal beating. [1] [2] [3] [4] Chris grabs the referee’s shirt and pulls his face into his. Aggressively he screams “I HAVE ‘TIL FIVE!” before lightly pushing the ref back, causing the official to trip and land in a seated position. The Terror of Tyneside does not relent on his offence and wraps his giant hand around the head of the fallen flyer. As the Unorthodontist rises from his mounted position, he drags C5 up with him until both are standing, Ion is on his tip-toes still with the claw wrapped around his cranium and Dolmeth begins to crank up the pressure causing the trapped competitor to scream out in anguish.

Ted Cedar: “Chris has that clawhold locked on C5 Ion.”
Joey Miles: “Yeah, so?”
Ted Cedar: “It’s not the best position to find yourself in. Countless wrestlers have tapped out to that very move over the years it’s been in use in this sport Joey.”
Joey Miles: “Tell me again how many tapped to Dolmeth’s clawhold? That’s right – none. A big fat zero. I mean, c’mon. Look at it? It’s not even being applied properly. Sloppy execution and sloppy holds will get you nowhere fast in this game.”

‘Meth keeps his fingers locked around the skull of the American who now has both of his hands firmly gripping the big man’s forearm in attempt to lift it away, but to no avail. The crowd begin a “USA! USA! USA!” chant, obviously directed at Ion, being as Chris Dolmeth is British born. This chant seems to give C5 life and he begins to deliver stiff kicks to the Inglorious Bastard’s abdomen, each one buckling the six foot six frame ever so slightly. Just as it looks like the Creator of the Matrix might break free, the Strapping Young Lad closes him down, tripping him over and smashing the back of his head into the canvas with what he calls “The Addiction”. The aggressor rubs his hands off of one another to signify his belief that it’s done and dusted before lying on top of the grounded flyer, back first, and sticking his hand in the air to count along with the referee.

[1]
[2]

No! Ion rolls on his side and pins The Adjudicator’s shoulders to the mat with a crucifix pin hold. The zebra-striped authority begins a fresh, new count with Chris’ legs flailing wildly to try and get himself out of this situation.

[1]
[2]

At the very last moment Dolmeth manages to kickout of the pin. C5 Ion punches the mat in frustration and ‘Meth looks on bewildered that he almost lost in such a pitiful way. Both men begin to make their way to their feet, in the end Ion proves to be the quicker man of the two and he takes the Brash Brit down to the deck with a heavy rolling savate kick planted straight in his chest. The Englishman crosses both arms over his chest and takes to what could almost be described as the feeble position; lying on his side with his knees beginning to tuck, gasping for the air that has been knocked out of his lungs. C5 pauses for a moment on his hands and knees. He rubs the back of his head with his hand and works his way down to the back of his neck, grimacing whilst doing so. From this position, Ion bursts forwards before diving into the ropes, bounding off of the middle set with a gracious backflip and crashing down stomach first across the back and side of the floored combatant. He clutches at his stomach as he regains a vertical base. Grabbing an arm and a leg of the kilted competitor, the high flyer lazily drags the carcass toward the corner and dumps him just within range of that dangerous 450 Splash. Gripping the adjacent top ropes at the corner, Ion squats down. He extends his legs and pulls with his arms, using the slingshot effect to propel him up, twisting his body so his feet land on top of the turnbuckle. He stands tall perched upon the chief position in the ring, perfectly balanced as he looks down upon the next victim of the 450 Splash. He smiles to himself before clasping both hands together above his head, exciting a roar from the crowd; they know what’s coming next. The Splash and then the one, two, three. Ion leaps from the top and tucks his arms and knees into his chest. He seems to hover in the air above his opponent as he rotates before finally rocketing down. Dolmeth rolls out of the way, but somehow the Indiana superstar manages to adjust his rotation and land on his feet, unfortunately stubbing his knee in the process. This is made evident by him hobbling forward from the momentum, and having his right foot slightly raised from the ring floor.

Ted Cedar: “I think C5 Ion might have landed a little awkwardly there, hurting his knee, and perhaps his chances in this match.”
Joey Miles: “No shit, we all just saw him land and limp.”

The prone ‘Meth smirks as he sees his adversary struggle with his knee and, much like a predator seeing a wounded animal, goes on the attack. He pulls himself up to his feet and delivers a hard kick to the side of the Matrix Maker’s knee, collapsing the poor lad and causing him to scream out in pain as he clutches at the joint. The bearded brawler delivers slow, calculated stomps to the damaged knee of his opponent, relishing every strike and every pain filled scream. Ion scrambles into the corner as the Terror of Tyneside stays true to his nickname and stalks the wounded lamb, every step he takes filled with malice. He leans over and grabs a handful of hair, pulling the American up to his feet and into the centre of the ring. Dolmeth plants a boot into the back of the hurt knee, causing Ion to drop down to a kneeling position. Chris tucks his competition’s head underneath his arm and holds his free arm out to the side, the hand in a fist before shouting out to the crowd “FOG ON THE TYNE!” in what could be described as a war cry. The Strapping Young Lad takes a hold of C5’s trunks and hoists him up into the air like the masts of a ship. The Brit marches the ring, parading his opponent to all of the fans, before cutting in on himself and bringing the Indianapolis native crashing face first into the mat, all two hundred and seventy eight pounds of Chris Dolmeth coming down on top of him. The aggressor wastes no time in rolling the victim over and going for the pin, driving his forearm into the face of Ion. The monochromatic mediator drops down to get a perfect view of C5 Ion’s shoulders and begins the count.

*DING DING DING*

“Two Words” starts up once again as ‘Meth leaves his, still unmoving opponent, on the mat. The leather-clad lad raises his fist in the air in victory while holding a closed fist over his mid-section, obviously suffering battle wounds from the match. The crowd receive him with a chorus of boos, unappreciative of his brash fighting style throughout the match up.

Are you being nice, Joey? Who are you and what have you done with my broadcast partner!?!

Joey Miles:

Ruiner’s “Two Words” hits the sound system and the drums thunder around the arena creating a melodic pulsing. A tall figure stands at the top of the entrance ramp, a leather hood shades his face from the watchful eyes of the punters. The man marches down to the ring, his head never lifting to view the lively Boston crowd. He doesn’t break stride as he approaches the ring side, turning and making his way up the steps, balancing himself on the apron.

Laura Watts:
And his opponent, from ‘Gates-heed’, England, weighing in at 278 pounds, Chris Dolmeth!

He takes a deep breath in as he gazes at the arena, a subtle smirk sprouts out from the red-tinged forest of Christopher’s beard.
