In an interview with IGN, Will Arnett said that Megan Fox's version of April O'Neil is a fighter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here are highlights:
On this version of Vern Fenwick: "Originally, in the series, Vern was kind of grouchy and kind of a heel. We took a little bit of liberty with that attitude. He's still Vern Fenwick, who's a video guy, which really was a thing that helped us to tell the story we wanted to tell in the way we wanted to tell it. It was important the he an April work together, so instead of having him be a heel, he's a little more flippant."
On Vern wanting to do more fluff pieces: "He's kind of seen action, he's done a lot of stuff. He wants to now just kind of coast. He's happy with his job and he doesn't want anything to get too crazy, and then as everything starts going nuts he just doesn't want to get dragged into it. That's the only kind of shade that's similar."
On Megan Fox's April O'Neil: "She's a kick-a** April. Megan did such a great job. There are some great sequences that she has and that we both have together that are really high octane where we're fighting all sorts of bad dudes."
