According to comingsoon.net, Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm announced today that Star Wars: Episode VII will begin production at London's historic Pinewood Studios in May. The film will set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi and that the storyline will follow "a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces".

They are expected to make casting announcements shortly, with Adam Driver (Girls) heavily rumored to play the film's Darth Vader-like antagonist. 12 Years a Slave's Lupita Lupita Nyong'o is also rumored for a role.

Star Wars: Episode VII is rumored to include appearances by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford as the older versions of their characters.

Star Wars: Episode VII is currently set for a December 18th, 2015 release.
