Instead of a normal unify match for The IC and US championship. How about HHH vacant both championships and retires them. Than announces that their will be a brand new championship. Instead of having the two former champions face eachother to crown the new mid card champion, instead they have a huge tournament. This all takes place after WM and will end at the next ppv. HHH also gives the two former champions first round byes.

I'd rather them keep the titles with the history they have now.

Unify the titles

Well the US and IC title are pretty much damaged goods imo. A new championship WWE can market huge with it. Besides there hasn't been a big huge toury in WWE for a long time. Last few tours have been one night only tourys. With this they could make it last for weeks, air it on different shows. Have some of the matches be WWE network only matches. It can also give alot of guys TV time who haven't been on TV for some time. Maybe bring some people back for a short while just for the toury. Get some NXT guys in it. Maybe have Cena in it to make it more meaningful.

Have a round robin tournament

Nah, they've already ditched the World Tag and Women's Titles for newer things. Keep some history at least...

No, you dont want all of the titles in the company's history with the exception of the main one to be after 2000, that makes it look like you rebooted the company for some strange reason. Book the IC and US titles better and they'll mean something again.

well the IC and US are that damaged when it comes to meaning to the point the mid card title needs a reboot. Maybe instead of a new new title maybe Redesign IC title since it's an actual WWE made title and have the big toury for it.

They already got rid of the WHC, which was, barely, a title worth fighting for, over the last... two years (or so). I mean... ADR had the title around his waist and had few or no feuds for it (and "feuds" as in relevant stories).
For the IC... getting rid of it would not be wise, considering the huge story/background around it. If they had to get rid of any mid-card title, the US is the best candidate (since, correct me if I'm wrong, it's a WCW title).

The only way a reboot of the IC title would work is if the current history is transferred over, meaning everything pre-new title is still recognized. It still doesnt change the notion that the title is still in jeopardy of suffering the same shit it's going through now.

well yeah, it's the IC title just a new design. And a big toury with alot of people going after it can start helping it become more meaningful
