According to F4WOnline.com, in a few weeks time WWE does intend to resume running dark match main events for the live crowds after TV tapings. WWE appears to have suspended them for the time being as they work out the functionality of the new Backstage Pass post-shows taking place for Raw and Smackdown.

It's being said that when the dark matches do return, they will most likely NOT be shown on the Backstage Pass shows, as the post-shows will be shot almost entirely backstage and the ring area will not be seen.
