M4 | Paddy Perry vs. Hitman Alex Empty
PostSubject: Re: M4 | Paddy Perry vs. Hitman Alex   M4 | Paddy Perry vs. Hitman Alex EmptyFri Feb 14, 2014 5:02 pm

Both men are inside the ring waiting for the bell to start as the referee walks towards the middle of the ring and asks if both competitors are ready. Paddy, being the 'good guy' in this match, is not getting that much of a pop. Meanwhile, the former World Heavyweight Champion, Hitman Alex, is getting more cheers than Paddy. Alex is the "bad guy" and the crowd are behind him in this match way more than the actual good guy. The referee signals the timekeeper to ring the bell, and the match is underway.

Ted Cedar: Boy, do we have a great match for you tonight, or what?

Joey Miles: Let's cut the crap, Ted. We have a singles match to determine the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship against the winner of earlier tonight.

Ted Cedar: That's right, and let me just state that I don't think Alex is too worry about winning the match or not. Although he's been in a very rough losing streak as of late, I think he just wants to prove that the Viper is back. He wants to prove that he's not a loser and he's ready for that World Title match that he's been craving for almost a month now.

Joey Miles: He's not gonna get shit if he doesn't earn it.

Ted Cedar: I don't think he cares what any of us think, but the Toronto crowd doesn't seem to mind anymore.

Joey Miles: Fucking morons.

DING DING DING!!!

Hitman Alex moves out of his corner, as well as Paddy, as he makes his way directly towards Paddy, not wasting any time. Instead of circling the ring, Alex is just walking directly towards the 6 ft 4 Ireland's beast. The former World champion begins to get all into Paddy's face, starting to talk down to him as Alex is one inch taller, but I doubt that matters in this match. Paddy, being one of XWA's rising stars, doesn't seem to be taking Alex's words too kindly as he begins to get into Alex's face as well. As both men are exchanging words, they're so close to the point their forehead is touching one another. Alex continues to talk down telling Paddy basically that he's worthless, and that's not going to go anywhere, but Paddy talks back. As the camera has a good shot of both men talking to one another, the people at home can hear Paddy reply to Alex saying "You obviously didn't make it. You're facing me. I'll be better than you'll ever try to be." Alex, reacting in anger, raises his arms and sets it on Paddy's chest, as Alex quickly pushes Paddy away from him. Perry quickly reacting as he raises his right arm and extends it across Alex's face, connecting with a slap across the face. The crowd immediately chant "Boo" as Paddy slaps Alex. Alex, not thinking twice about it, extends his right hand across Paddy's face, and slaps him back, as the crowd quickly change their "booing" chant to a "Yeah" chant, cheering for Hitman Alex. Paddy not looking amused, quickly ducks and grabs both of Alex's legs, as he lifts them off the ground, making Alex fall straight on his back against the mat. Paddy falls right on top of him as Paddy begins to connect with some right punches to the former World Heavyweight Champion's face. The crowd seems to be loving this confrontation as they're on their feet and cheering for this brawl that's happening right in the middle of the ring.

Ted Cedar: Here we go!

Joey Miles: Hitman Alex needs to be punished, thinking he can belittle someone. He's facing a great technical wrestler right now, Ted, he has no right to disrespect him like that

Hitman Alex is getting hit, but he manages to turn things around as he's the one who's on top of Paddy now. Alex connecting with some right punches of his own to the face of Paddy as the crowd cheers, but Paddy quickly manages to turn the odds against Alex again as he is now on top of Alex again. Paddy continuing to unleashed some hell on Alex with several right hooks across the face, but Alex manages to turn Paddy over, and he's on top again. What Alex hasn't realize that all this turning have moved both men away from the middle of the ring towards the ropes. So while Alex has turned Paddy over to get on top, both men are now under the bottom rope, and before they both know it, they both have fallen off the apron towards the outside of the ring. The crowd is cheering as both men are showing anger towards one another right now. Alex rolls on his knees and picks himself back up as he makes a move towards the apron and he rolls back inside the ring, not a second goes by that you see Paddy doing the same thing, rolling back inside the ring. Alex sees Paddy standing back up, so Alex runs to go for a clothesline, but instead of connecting with it, or even having Paddy ducked it, Paddy extends his right foot and connects with a counter kick to the mid-section. Alex bends down as he falls and leans against the ropes, Paddy quickly grabs Alex by his right arm and Irish Whips Alex across the ring, to the opposite side of the ropes. As Alex bounces off the ropes, he quickly returns towards Paddy and connects with a quick clothesline. Paddy didn't see that coming as he falls back against the canvas, Alex quickly gets on top of Paddy and starts the right punches to the face routine again. This time, Paddy is not able to counter as Alex continues unleashing some right punches to the face of the Ireland beast, as the fans are loving it and cheering for Alex.

Ted Cedar: Look at Hitman Alex go, not giving Paddy a fighting chance

Joey Miles: Believe it or not, I did my research about Paddy Perry. I watched some of his matches ,and let me just say that I hope he goes all out tonight. After all, this is for a chance at the Intercontinental Championship. A chance at gold, so Paddy better fight for it like it's his last day to live

Hitman Alex continues with the right punches to the face as Paddy seems to be taking it. The referee begins to count for the five count, if Alex doesn't get off by the time the referee yells out "five", Alex loses the match by disqualification. The referee starts to count as Alex continues with the punches. "One....Two....Three...Get Off of him....Four.." As Alex hears the referee get to the count of four, Alex decides to stop hitting Paddy and start to get off of him. The count is broken as Alex gets off Paddy, but Paddy seems to be able to roll on his side. Alex begins to get back up and off the mat, as Paddy begins to slowly be doing the same thing. Alex is up and sees Paddy trying to get back up so he runs to him and tries to swing his arm, as if he's going for another right punch, but this time, Paddy ducks, and Alex moves right behind Paddy. The Irish wrestler turns around, waiting for Alex to turn back around to face him, and he finally strikes with a Knife Edge Chop, smacking his arm right on Alex's chest. The crowd begins to chant "WOOO" as Paddy has connected with a chop. Alex, continues to stand, connects with a Knife Edge Chop of his own across the chest of Paddy, as the crowd chants "WOOO" again. Paddy, continues to stand, and connects with another Knife Edge Chop across Alex's chest as the crowd chants "WOOO" again. Alex, trying to get the advantage, is not backing down. Mr. CEO swings and connects with another Knife Edge Chop of his own again on Paddy, as the crowd chants "WOOO" once again. Paddy, not giving up easily, connects once again for his third Knife Edge Chop on Alex, as the crowd continues to chant "WOOO". Hitman Alex, trying to stand tall, connects with his third Knife Edge Chop on Paddy's chest, as the crowd chants "WOOO" once again, remembering the legendary WWE Hall of Famer, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Paddy swings back with another Knife Edge Chop, but Alex swings back again with his 4th chop, as the crowd chant "WOOO" after every chop they see. Paddy, with his chest looking a little red, swings and connects with his fifth Knife Edge Chop, as Alex can't take it anymore and he quickly connects with a thumb to the eye, ending the Knife Edge Chop war between the two competitors. Paddy placing his hand on the eye Alex poked while walking backwards, while Alex is walking towards Paddy. Paddy is near the ropes, still not being able to fully see out of his right eye because of Alex, as Mr. CEO Irish Whips him to the opposite side of the ring, but Paddy manages to counter and send Alex across the ring instead. As Alex bounces off the ropes, Paddy is in a bend-down position waiting for Alex to return to him. Alex bounces off the ropes and runs towards Paddy as he grabs Alex's feet and lifts Mr. CEO over him, connecting with a Back Body Drop. Alex's back arches after he lands on the mat, as he turns around on his side. Paddy, on the other hand, drops to one knee and is trying to gain his full eyesight out of his right eye. The crowd is cheering and loving it.

Ted Cedar: Although these guys have never faced each other in their whole career, is like they know each other. All I'm seeing is reversal after reversal, and I'm loving it

Joey Miles: This is the Paddy Perry I was talking about, Ted. He's a fighting machine.

Paddy, finally gaining his eyesight back in the right eye, stands back up and sees Alex is on one knee trying to get back up. Paddy wasting little time, walks over to Alex and grabs him by his head to lift him back up. Paddy then proceeds to lift Alex up on his shoulders, as Paddy turns around and walks a little closer to the center of the ring, while having Alex on his shoulders. Paddy finishes off the move as he lifts Alex from behind Paddy's head to the front as he extends his leg out and bring Alex down right on it; connecting with a Fireman's Gutbuster. Alex lands right on his stomach, as he is rolling on the floor hitting both of his feet against the canvas as if he has lost air inside of him, which might be the case here. Paddy quickly turns Alex on his back, and hooks his right leg to cover him. The referee slides next to the cover and begins to count. "One......Two......." but Alex raises his arm up, and breaks the cover. The crowd cheers as Paddy begins to stand back up. Hitman Alex is trying to crawl away from Paddy to regain his air in his system. Paddy lifts himself back up and is standing and is quickly walking to Alex, who's crawling towards the corner of the ring. Paddy stomps on Alex's back, which makes Alex turn around and lean against the bottom corner, as he's sitting on the floor. Alex is trying to lift himself back up using the ropes on both sides of the corner as he stands high enough to the second turnbuckle, but Paddy quickly connects with a Knife Edge Chop across the chest, follow by a right punch to the face, and ending it up with a stomp to the stomach. All those moves from Paddy, making sure Alex stays down. Alex falls back down to the mat, leaning against the bottom turnbuckle, as Paddy isn't playing no games. Paddy starts to unleash a stomp beatdown on Alex as Paddy continues to stomp on Alex's chest as the crowd is booing and the referee has just now started his "5 Count". The referee yells out "1" as Paddy continues to stomp, he yells out "Two", and Paddy continues to stomp, wearing down the former World Champion. "Three.....Four"....by the fourth count, Paddy stops the stomping and walks away from the corner that Alex is in. As Alex sees Paddy walking away, Alex wastes no time trying to get up, but he's feeling so weak that he barely makes it to the second turnbuckle. Paddy sees perfectly that Alex is trying to get back up so he walks towards Alex again and connects with a Knife Edge Chop across the chest. The crowd boos as Paddy proceeds by grabbing Alex's arm and Irish Whipping him to the opposite corner, but surprisingly enough, Alex counters and sends Paddy to the opposite turnbuckle instead. Alex falls on both of his knees, as he wasted the bit of strength he had to counter, but Alex manages to lift himself back up on his feet. The crowd cheering for Alex, as they see Paddy connecting with his back against the corner. Alex runs towards Paddy, but Paddy quickly extends his right foot up, and Alex runs right into it. Alex takes a few steps back, right before he drops to one knee. Paddy sees that it's his chance to regain his momentum in this match, so he decides to run towards Alex, but Alex quickly lifts himself up from being on one knee to standing tall, and Alex catches Paddy and quickly connects with a Snap Powerslam. Paddy lands on his back, as Alex bounces off Paddy and land right next to him. Both men are down and the crowd is cheering and loving every bit of this.

Ted Cedar: This is why he's the former World Champion, Joey. Love him or hate him, he puts quite a show

Joey Miles: Are you fucking serious? That's not why he's a former champion. He's a former champion for cheating all his life, and the one time he wants to win clean, he gets screwed over. It's fucking karma, Ted.

Ted Cedar: Say what you want, but you can't deny talent. Alex, wasting every single bit of his strength that he had in him, just to knock Paddy down and take him down along with him. That's why Alex hasn't covered Paddy yet, he has no energy. He has no strength. He's working with what he's got, and this might be the game changer in this match, Joey. This might be the time Alex needs, to recuperate himself and gain momentum. What a hell of a match thus far.

Hitman Alex is slowly lifting himself off the mat as he crawls and gets on top of Paddy. The referee sees Paddy's shoulders on the mat, so he slides next to the cover and begins to count. "One......Two..." but paddy raises his shoulder off the mat and shows signs that he's not going down easily. Hitman Alex, regaining some of his energy, starts to lift himself off the ground completely enough to be on his feet, but Paddy manages to get up before the former world champ. Paddy, having way more energy than Alex has right now, is standing fully back up and walks towards Alex, who's on his knees, and connects with a kick to the shoulder, knocking him down. Alex falls down on all fours, trying to crawl as fast as he can towards the corner. Paddy stomps on Alex's back, making him fall flat against the mat, while still trying to crawl. Paddy bends down and grabs Alex by his head to lift him back up, but that doesn't last long as Paddy quickly pushes and sends Alex's head towards the top turnbuckle pad. Alex's head bounces off the turnbuckle that makes him turn around to face Paddy, and lean against the corner instead. Paddy grabs Alex and Irish Whips him to the opposite corner. Alex connects against the corner with his back, as Paddy runs towards Alex and goes for a strike. That strike is quickly countered as Alex sticks his elbow out and stops Paddy from connecting with anything. Paddy walks back and away from Alex, as Mr. CEO uses the ropes on both sides to lift himself up on the second rope. Paddy turns around as Alex jumps off the second turnbuckle as he extends his feet out, connecting with a Missile Dropkick from the second rope. Paddy falls back against the mat as he turns on his stomach, as the crowd goes crazy for that diving move from New York's own, Hitman Alex. Both men are down as the referee begins to count his ten count, which means if both men can't get up by the match ends in a draw. The referee yells out "One" as Alex is trying to get back up, but he hasn't regained all of his energy. The referee yells out "Two" as Paddy is starting to get back into the match and starts to get back up, a little bit faster than Alex as Paddy has more energy than Alex has so far. The referee yells out "Three" and the crowd boos as they see Paddy almost on his feet, getting back up quicker than Alex. The referee yells out "Four" as Alex is fully back up now, and so is Paddy. Alex has his back turn on Paddy as Paddy is making his way towards Alex. Alex turns around and he finally sees Paddy as Paddy swings and connects with a right punch, starting off the strike-down. Alex, still standing, swings back and connects with a right punch. Paddy quickly responds with another that gets a reply from Alex as he connects with another right punch. Both men continue to hit back and forth, right punch after right punch, wearing down the other one down. Alex gets the advantage, with the little energy he has left, as he connects with a right punch follow by a left one. Alex continues to connect with another right punch, then a kick to the mid-section, then Alex grabs Paddy's head and pulls it towards his knee, connecting with a knee-to-the-head. Paddy falls on one knee, but Alex isn't satisfy. Alex picks Paddy back up and he quickly wraps his right arm around Paddy's neck, standing behind him and connecting with an Inverted Headlock Backbreaker. Paddy bounces off Alex's back and lands forwards on the mat. Alex quickly turns around and turns Paddy on his back as he hooks his leg for a cover. The referee slides next to the cover and begins to count. The crowd are cheering, "1........2........" but Paddy kicks out.

Joey Miles: That was the fucking fastest count I ever seen all night. This is ridiculous

Ted Cedar: You're seeing things, Joey

Joey Miles: No, Ted. I'm not fucking blind. I can fucking see. The referee needs to play fair.

Ted Cedar: And a kickout from Paddy. Mr. Center of Attention giving his all.

Alex lifts himself back up, as he's standing back up before Paddy this time. Alex bends down to grab Paddy and lift him back up on his feet, and he does. Alex connects with a right punch to the face, which makes Paddy take a step back and he falls against the ropes. Alex swings and connects with a Knife Edge Chop across Paddy's chest, as the crowd chants "WOOO" and Paddy lets out a little yell in pain. Alex quickly tries to Irish Whip Paddy, but Paddy counters and moves to stand right behind Alex. Paddy quickly grabs on Alex trying to for a Back Suplex, but as he lifts Alex in the air, Alex lands back on his feet and quickly going for a schoolboy pin cover as he gets Paddy on his shoulders. The fans cheer in excitement as the referee slides next to the cover and starts to count. "One.......Two......" but Paddy once again kicks out of the cover. Both Alex and Paddy quickly turn on their stomach to get back up, and Paddy is the one who gets up first. Alex is not far behind as Paddy walks towards Alex and strikes with an elbow to the head. Alex takes steps back as Paddy quickly grabs onto Alex and turns him around. Paddy wraps his arms around Alex's waist as he lifts and connects with a Back Suplex. Alex lands right near the middle of the mat. Paddy stands back up and he turns around as he walks towards the ropes. The crowd booing for Paddy, as Paddy trying to maintain his "good-guy" image, as Paddy goes through the ropes and stands on the apron. Paddy then continues to walk towards the corner and he starts climbing it until he reaches the very top of the turnbuckle. Nobody knows what Paddy is thinking, but he's standing tall on the top of the turnbuckle. Paddy takes a few seconds to get a hold of himself, but that gives Alex the time to roll back up and quickly run towards the rope, which shake the turnbuckle and make Paddy fall directly down against the turnbuckle. Paddy falling and hurting his groin area, while the crowd cheers and laugh. Hitman Alex quickly uses the same ropes he pulled on to get back up, and Alex quickly walks over to Paddy, who's sitting on the top of the turnbuckle still in pain, as Alex connects with some right punches to the face. Alex switches up from punching to connecting with some Knife Edge Chops to the chest, trying to weaken Paddy down. Alex then proceeds to grab onto the top ropes and lift himself up on the second turnbuckle, right in front of Paddy, but Paddy comes back into the match as he quickly starts connecting with some strikes to the stomach. Alex falls down on the bottom turnbuckle, still being off the mat, but Paddy continues to come back as he connects with several headbutts to the head. After the seventh headbutt, Alex finally falls backwards onto the mat, landing on his back. While Paddy is taking his time to get back on top of the turnbuckle, Alex is turning around on his side and getting back up. Paddy is standing back up on the top of the turnbuckle as Alex is back up and has turned around. Paddy jumps off and goes for a Diving Double Axe Handle, but as Paddy gets closer to reach Alex, Alex bends down and catches Paddy in mid-air by his feet, taking him down and making him fall back against the mat. Alex quickly grabs a hold of both Paddy's feet and spreads them wide apart enough for Alex to hook his right foot over Paddy's right side of his body, trying to lock in the Sharpshooter submission, but Paddy fights back. The crowd cheering for the match as Paddy swings hitting Alex with some right punches and right hooks to the face. After a few strikes, Alex lets go and Paddy quickly turns around on his stomach and gets up onto his knees. Paddy grabs Alex by his feet, who's still standing, and takes him down making him fall on his back against the mat. Paddy quickly grabs both of Alex's legs and quickly sets up his finisher in which he calls it Celtic Knot, also known as the Indian Deathlock. Paddy has the submission locked and the crowd stands up to see if Alex taps out or gets out of it. Alex quickly is sitting up with his eyes wide open, yelling as the pain from the submission hold is being rushed through Alex's veins. Alex raises both of his arms as he's trying to reach Paddy and try to get out of it, but he can't. Alex is shaking, in pain, as he tries to crawl backwards enough where he reaches the ropes. The crowd cheering and chanting for Alex to reach the ropes, as Alex is getting closer and closer, but Paddy is trying to maintain pressure on that leg. Alex reaches and stretches enough to where he is able to grab onto the bottom rope. The referee sees it and tells Paddy to let go of the hold because Alex has broke the submission.

Ted Cedar: And Alex is a lucky guy. Alex is fighting in this one like we never seen him fight like this before. He's definitely trying to send a message across.

Joey Miles: He's just lucky right now. I could of thought this was it

Paddy lets go of the hold as he lifts himself off the mat and walks towards Alex. Paddy quickly bends down to pick Alex back up, and he drags him away from the ropes. As Paddy is picking Alex back up, it seems like he was playing possum as he gets out of Paddy's arms and he quickly jumps in the air and stretches his leg, and connects with a Dropkick to the face of Paddy. Both men are back down as the fans are chanting "This is Awesome" repeatedly as Alex is trying to regain momentum and energy, specially from that vicious submission. The referee yells out "One" starting his ten count as both men are still down, but are starting to slowly progress to get back up. The "This is Awesome" Chant continues as the referee yells out "Two". Alex starts to lift himself back up slowly as the referee yells out "Three". Alex continues to get back up as the referee yells out "Four. Paddy is now starting to get back up as Alex is back up and sees Paddy doesn't see Alex anywhere. Alex wastes no time as he walks towards Paddy as he grabs him by his head and picks him back up. Alex quickly jumps and grabs Paddy by his head as he attempts to go for the HKO finisher, but Paddy pushes him off and away from him towards the ropes. Alex quickly bounces off the ropes and returns to Paddy, who catches Alex and connects with his signature as he turns Alex around and finishes him off by slamming him against the mat. Paddy has connected with a Spinning Spinebuster as Paddy wastes no time to hook Alex's right leg. The crowd on their feet as the referee slides next to the cover and he starts his count. "One...........Two...........Thr......." but before the referee could succesfully yell out three, Alex has saved himself and the match by raising his shoulder off the mat and kicking out. The crowd cheer in amazement as Paddy cannot believe it. Paddy gets back up and he starts to point at Alex, who is down flat on the mat, but the crowd is not behind Paddy so they boo him instead of cheering. Paddy bends down and grabs onto Alex by his head and picks him back up. Alex has his eyes closed as he's standing back up. Paddy is setting up to go for his finisher that he calls Parting Glass, or also known as Heart Punch, as he grabs Alex's right arm and sets it right behind his head/neck area. Paddy bawls up his fist away from Alex about to strike, but Alex quickly opens up his eyes and he uses his right arm, that's being grabbed by Paddy, to turn him and Paddy into a complete circle. Alex counters Paddy's finisher as both men turn into a complete circle, and as Alex uses that as a distraction, Paddy forgets all about his bawled up fist. Alex quickly gets out of the finisher and quickly turns himself around one more time as he wraps his arms around Paddy's head and jumps as he connects with a HKO, or known as a Jumping Cutter. The crowd goes nuts as Alex smirks and turns around to hook Paddy, who connects face-first against the canvas laying flat on the mat. The referee slides next to the cover and starts to count. The crowd are so excited that they start to chant along with the referee. "ONE.......TWO.........Threee!!!!!" The referee signals the timekeeper to ring the bell and end the match.

DING DING DING

Ted Cedar: What an HKO!!

Joey Miles: That was out of nowhere, I'll give him that

Ted Cedar: Alex is the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship, and to be honest, Joey, I don't think he cares.

Ring Announce: And your winner by pinfall and new Number One Contender for the Intercontinental Championship......HITMAN!!!!!!!......ALEXXXXXXXXX!!!!

Hitman Alex's theme plays throughout the arena as the referee helps him get back up on his feet as the referee raises his hand up in the air to show everyone he has won the match. Alex smirks as the fans cheer. Paddy is shown laid out still, as the referee lets go of Alex's hand and starts to help out Paddy out of the ring. The camera starts to focus on Alex again as Alex is celebrating by raising his hand up in the air and smirking.

M4 | Paddy Perry vs. Hitman Alex Empty
PostSubject: Re: M4 | Paddy Perry vs. Hitman Alex   M4 | Paddy Perry vs. Hitman Alex EmptyFri Feb 14, 2014 8:07 pm

Paddy Perry, the man with a well-documented defiant disposition, approaches Hitman Alex until the two combustible elements stand eye to eye. He continues to edge the Irishman on, almost begging and pleading for Perry to take a shot at him. Despite every fiber in his being screaming at him to wallop him and remove the smug smirk that's etched on his face, Pat takes the high road. The Irishman simply motions around his waist, reminding Alex what’s on the line and making it clear to him that he was going to be the top dog for the foreseeable future. With the help of the referee the two intense competitors are separated, the official putting the proverbial wedge between them before calling for the bell. As the bell chimes thrice, Alex and Perry each begin circling around the ring, likely devising strategies they'll attempt to implement to get the immediate upper hand. The deliberation seemingly comes to an end as both superstars cautiously advance to one another in the center of the squared circle, with each man slightly crouched and extending their hands. Both men slap at one another, with each man looking for an opening and a window to take the initiative. Having found one, Perry dives at Alex's legs, causing the former to step back and shove him aside.  Alex takes a step back, and sneers down at the Irishman who sits on his knees, smiling confidently at him. From there, Paddy slowly regains a vertical base, deep beneath his grin lying the knowledge and realization that defeating the Hitman would be quite the arduous task. They meet back at the center, once again slapping at each other’s hands, continuing to feel one another out. This time, Hitman Alex takes the aggressive approach, diving and reaching for Paddy's leg only to be pushed back in response.  Alex immediately springs back to a full vertical position, before colliding with the Irishman once more, this time in a collar and elbow tie.

The hold doesn't last long as Perry breaks free and deftly maneuvers around Alex, whilst applying a rear waistlock. Turning his defense into offense, the Hitman unclasps Paddy's hands, before extending his arm and moving behind said limb. With the aforementioned part of the Irishman's anatomy still in his clutches, Alex applies a hammerlock, effectively subduing his foe and holding him at bay. Or so he thought, as the quick thinking, agile Irishman reaches around Hitman Alex's head with his free hand and falls to a seated position, dragging him forward and sending him somersaulting to the canvas supinely. In no hurry to give up any ground, Alex rolls onto his chest, prompting Paddy to once again wrap his arms around his torso. Showing his own technical prowess and acumen, the Hitman adroitly rolls across the ring, using the momentum to escape the hold. Both men end up on their knees, with Paddy the first to his feet, giving him the advantage in their exhibition of chain wrestling. The callous Irishman hastily applies a front facelock, capturing Alex's head in his armpit and coercing him back to his feet. Flourishing his ring awareness, the Hitman staggers into the ropes, causing the referee to step in and issue a break. As Perry steps back and raises his arms, the Hitman takes the opportunity to strike him across the cheek, slapping him much like an outlaw in an old western flick, garnering tremendous heat for the gesture and the ire of the recipient. With the zebra clad official pushing him back, Paddy is unable to retaliate, and can only glare at the egomaniacal grappler who remains on the ropes, chuckling loudly.

Hitman Alex makes me sick. He's got no respect for anyone. Not the fans, not the wrestlers, not management. He's a lowlife degenerate if you ask me.

Oh why don't you grow a set?  This man is the next IC Champion. He doesn't have to respect anyone. In fact, we should all acknowledge his greatness.

You kiss so much ass that you have stink breath.

I bet you thought that was mighty clever...

Having created a necessary distance between both combatants, the referee steps away, allowing them to have at it. They waste no time in posturing, as they once again collide in a collar and elbow tie. The quicker, more agile Perry immediately attacks, stabbing Alex in the midsection with a stiff knee strike, causing him to double over in pain. Afterward, Paddy grapples him around the head, encircling Alex’s cranium and applying a textbook headlock. The Irishman cranks up the pressure, causing a slight discoloration in Alex's face as the blood flow to his head is suppressed. He quickly begins elbowing Perry in the abdomen, desperately attempting to escape the hold. Instinctively he maneuvers behind him, causing the hold to become less excruciating, before wrapping his arms around Paddy's near leg. With a popping of the hips, Hitman Alex channels enough strength necessary to hoist the Irishman into the air. Exploiting the momentum, the Hitman flips backward, landing on his feet behind his deadly and dangerous adversary. As he turns, Paddy swipes his hand through the air, quickly smacking him in the mug with an open palm strike that ignites the crowd and removes the pompous expression from the Hitman's face. The Irishman is now the one smiling, infuriating Alex, causing him to charge forward impulsively, and swing his arm wildly through the electricity in the air. Perry ducks his head and circumvents the clothesline before pivoting on his feet. With his arm bent and cocked he spins inward, connecting with a forearm shot into the turning Hitman's face. The violent collision and clashing between elbow and mug sends Alex  falling through the ropes in a wave of disorientation and unceremoniously tumbling to the outside. He slowly staggers to his feet and leans across the guardrail, staring into the ring, swishing his tongue around his mouth in search of the taste that just got knocked out of it.

Hitman Alex has got to keep his cool. He just learned the hard way what happens when you let the Irishman get in your head.

Yeah, you get popped in the mouth and put on your hindquarters.

The Hitman exasperatedly marches back to the killing grounds, slowly kneeing up onto the apron, his eyes almost unblinking as he glares a hole through his opponent. Paddy drops his arms, the showman in him being replaced with a more focused, stern competitor. He extends his hands, prompting Alex to do the same. He obliges, or so it would seem, only allowing his arms to protrude to lull Paddy into a sense of security. The Hitman drops his hands and steps forward with a kick to the midsection, viciously driving his black boot into his foe's solar plexus. With Perry's defenses lowered, Alex quickly grabs his near arm and spins under it, his maneuvering allowing him to twist the Irishman's wrist. Perry winces from the discomfort, before quickly rolling forward and onto his back, straightening the arm and effectively countering the hold. From his supine position he kips up from the canvas, landing on his feet.  However just as his feet stamp on the mat, Hitman Alex cocks his arm back before swinging it inward and falling forward, slamming his arm into the Irishman's sternum with tremendous force, and dropping him back to the canvas with the vicious short-ranged lariat. With his antagonist's arm still in his possession, Hitman Alex begins bending it, applying an armbar variant and looking to break the said limb in half. Despite having the wind knocked out of him, Perry has enough wits to counter, quickly lifting his legs as  Alex  leans back, and encircling them around his head, trapping him with a perfectly executed headscissors.  Alex is forced to release Perry's arm and tend to his current predicament, one which sees his cranium compressed between the Irishman's legs. With the oxygen being prevented from reaching his brain, the Hitman is forced to think quickly, and on the fly. He slowly shifts his position, ending up at Perry's bottom, facing his lower extremities. With his head still held in captivity, Hitman Alex plants his hands into the canvas and swings his body into the air, performing a handstand that confuses the Irishman. Paddy leans up, attempting to push Alex from his upside down position, but to no avail, as the Hitman has enough arm and upper body strength to remain upright. With the teaming masses looking on intently, Hitman Alex remains hand standing, before suddenly pushing off his hands and in one fluid motion, escaping the headscissors and landing on his feet. With the window of opportunity created by the unorthodox counter, the Hitman is able to take advantage. He dashes forward, building enough speed and a head of steam to make up the short distance between he and the seated Irishman, before swinging his knee forward. It cuts through the air like grass, and lands square in the face of the fan-favorite. The blistering, malicious knee strike sends Perry's head snapping back awkwardly to the canvas, before his body goes spread-eagle and motionless. With the thunderous effects of the withering strike reverberating through his nemesis' head, Hitman Alex quickly drops to the canvas and hooks his leg, causing the referee to drop down and acknowledge the pinfall.

What a devastating knee strike. Hitman Alex could have just split Perry's face right down the middle!

And now he's about to embarrass the Irishman!

"1!"
"2!"

Just as the core of Paddy’s fan base are on the verge of giving up hope, ready to leave their seats out of despair, the Irishman answers to the request of the minority who still believe. The “Perry” chants give him a new sense of responsibility to give the fans what they want and have grown so accustomed to; a victory. Just as the official is about to close the main event with the final count, the Irishman heaves his shoulder off the ground, dislodging Hitman Alex’s hard work of planting him to the canvas. The failure of an early victory brings about a moment of madness from Hitman Alex, almost costing him the match as he takes the referee by the collar after he announces a mere two count against Hitman Alex’s wishes of the complete three. Within moments of the warning, Hitman Alex releases the hold on the mediator, apologizing for his sudden outburst; his anger fizzing out, replaced by a smile of smugness. He almost had him and Hitman Alex knew it. He looked around the relieved faces of the followers and they knew it too but most of all, the Irishman who lay at his feet trying to re-establish himself to his feet knew it. There was confusion on his face, frustration and fret. His game plan had begun so well but he had been matched toe-to-toe in the wrestling department. There were no cheap tricks, no cheating, no excuses; Hitman Alex was the real thing when it came to pure wrestling and defeating him would take more than just luck and wits. Pat was starting to understand the flaw of going head-to-head when Hitman Alex was at his best. He had to take another approach, an alternative game plan, something he hadn’t thought off up until now; Hitman Alex’s weakness.

Hitman Alex’s weakness was his lack of desire to win, lapses in concentration and rash decision making that was witnessed by the arena in the form of his spat with the referee. The only way to defeat him was to exploit his weaknesses.

By god, I thought Hitman Alex had it there. Hear it in mouth moment there for both sets of fans who I must say have come out tonight in great numbers to see this match. It feels like the arena is evenly divided.

As is the commentary box… I mean seriously... Are you not bored of stale old Pat? I think we need a leader in XWA and its obvious that man is Hitman Alex.

The Hitman stands before Perry, allowing him to regain his stance, wanting to give him another shot at proving his worth.

Come on Paddy-Boy? What’s the matter… Hitman Alex too much to handle? I thought given all this time there would be some improvement but so far you’ve failed to live up to my expectations Pat. I mean, do you want the whole arena shouting ‘Hitman Alex’ chants? That would be a bit demoralising, no?

Hitman Alex taunts the Irishman, laughing arrogantly; portraying himself as a superior being. Jogging on his feet, he beckons Perry to come at him once.

Come on Perry, let’s try this again… This time with a little more belief and aggression… Anything less and I’ll swat you down. Don’t let your fans down now, including me. I can be your biggest fan.

Hitman Alex chuckles to himself, taking further jibes at the current champion.

The Irishman screws his face, looking to the ground in a combination of anger and frustration. Not sure what to say in such a situation. He can no longer remain calm and composed, deciding he must act upon his rush of rage and frenzy out on his abuser. The Irishman charges forward, locking in a grapple with the Hitman; the two waltzing around the ring until the attacker takes the advantage, stepping in behind his opponent and forcing Hitman Alex into a waist-lock. There is an initial struggle from Alex but its short lived as Pat is quick to dispatch the Hitman, sending him sprawling to the ground with a German suplex. The antagonist is quick to his feet and manages to counter the incoming Pat with a superbly timed arm-drag but his follow up drop-kick was anticipated as Perry slams the breaks before Alex can connect boot to chest.

Hitman Alex cascades to the canvas in embarrassing fashion and the ‘Perry’ chants are suddenly on the rise, over-powering the Hitman Alex fans in the audience tonight. A quick double round of kicks to the fallen fighter’s legs leaves him in a bit of trouble, unable to regain a stance, allowing Paddy to command the match under his control. The Hitman crawls on the ground in agony, trying to create some distance between himself and his foe. The Irishman however was having none of it, taking steady steps in Alex’s direction, making up the ground with each movement. A boot to his back sends Alex into the canvas, his chest planted firmly against it. Paddy follows suit with his neighbouring leg, bringing it across to initiate a walk across Hitman Alex’s back before leaping off his feet and bringing both feet together for a stomp upon the back of Alex’s Skull.

Ouch! That must have hurt…

… Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

The crowd suddenly begin to chant ‘Alex…Alex’ and without thinking twice about it, the Irishman sets himself up in position to strike. His target begins to stir within a short while, surging forward to the ring-ropes in aid to help himself to his feet. The effect of the stomp is condescending, compelling the conceited combatant into an irrational affinity to disregard his desire to remain on his feet. His head hits the floor as he attempts to turn around like an out-of-sync boxer losing his balance following a way-ward attempt of a punch. The crowd jump to their feet, the referee is in concern and even his rival is looking distraught, having his opportunity taken away from him thanks to Alex’s neurological mishap.

I think that head stomp has shaken Hitman Alex up. He couldn’t even control himself. He fell down almost before he got back up. This match might be over. The referee might call it an end here. This could potentially be a threat to Hitman Alex’s career.

Somebody should contact the paramedics. This could definitely be dangerous… Oh wait. I think the referee’s given the all-clear. Is he sure about this because I’m not?

The camera takes a close-up of Alex who shakes his head and raises his hands spitting the words, “I’m alright, I’m alright.” Ignoring the official’s cries to complete the check-up, Hitman Alex rushes forward, getting up close and personal, and right in Perry’s space. A few ineligible words are shared between them with Hitman Alex looking infuriated and a cocky smirk on Perry’s face. Pat forces Hitman Alex back with a butt of the head but it turns out to be a mistake as he does not anticipate the sudden onslaught Hitman Alex breaks-out with. Head down, shoulder’s drawn; Hitman Alex reaches out with a quick one-two, knocking the smirk right off the Irishman’s face. The pugilist follows up; connecting with a series of lightning fast body-blows before Paddy even has a chance to retaliate, with the initial attack leaving him in a dazed state. The Irishman finally does retaliate, throwing a right of his own but with Hitman Alex in full flow now; it was easily anticipated and effortlessly dodged. A second punch from the left comes in and is just as easily avoided. The Hitman springing off his feet to gain some elevation delivers a knuckle sandwich down Perry’s throat, sending the over-confident Irishman back to ground level. Hitman Alex however, doesn’t get a chance to celebrate his knock-down as he too is on the ground, rolling around, covering his solar plexus with both hands.

I think Hitman Alex is winded. Although I’m not completely sure but I think Pat managed to catch him with that punch.

Nah, I’m pretty sure Hitman Alex dodged both Paddy’s attempts quite easily. I don’t see how that can be the case…

Not the first two… I’m on about the third punch Paddy threw, just as Hitman Alex connected with a blow. I have to admit that was one hell of a punch.

A third punch? I didn’t even see it. I think we might have to go through a reply for this.

We go into replay mode, with a small clip showing the current state of the competitors laid out on the canvas with a much larger display going through a slow-motion of Hitman Alex’s mighty punch. Just as had been claimed, Paddy fists shoots forward from close proximity, connecting just below Hitman Alex’s sternum. The scree switches back to the ring where Hitman Alex scuttles across the ring through agony with a hand still placed across his chest. Draping his right hand over Perry’s limp body, Hitman Alex initiates a pin-fall. The referee slides in besides the two and begins the count but it is short lived as Pat bounces out of it just as the referee calls two. Hitman Alex doesn’t bother arguing with the referee this time, instead opting to sulk instead, slamming both palms into the ground out of frustration rather than anger. He looks toward the audience and then back at Pat, wondering what physical shape he is in now. His question is answered as Pat rolls across and back onto his feet within moments whilst Hitman Alex is still on his knees.

That was an amazingly quick recovery. Is he feeling okay?

Looks completely fine to me… Hitman Alex on the other hand…

Hitman Alex gets back onto his feet as quick as his tiring body would allow him to, just in time to meet Paddy’s grapple. This time Alex takes the advantage and gets in behind Paddy, attempting a German suplex whilst he is there but an elbow from Pat puts a stop to that. The Hitman is taken back a little but retaliates with a quick kick to the mid-section as the Irishman charged in to take the advantage. He crouches down for the moment, allowing Alex to get into position behind his opponent and he immediately signals for the end, showing his predatory instincts by hiding in Paddy’s shadow. As soon as the Irishman gets back to a stance, Alex emerges to tackle his prey but faces dismay as his back meets Pat’s outstretched hands. A shocked Hitman lands on his back but immediately returns to his feet to avoid the embarrassing situation. Perry creeps up behind the Hitman, wraps his arms around Alex’s waist and hurls the much smaller man into the air, and slams him back on the canvas. Perfectly executed German suplex. But Paddy's grasp does not loosen. He again, muscles the old man up into the air and again, slams him down on the canvas, this time seeming slightly harder than the last. Paddy's eyes begin to glaze over, as the violence escalates, and his grip becomes tighter around the Hitman's waste. Alex knows that a third suplex is coming, but the first two have made it impossible for his brain to send the message to his body fast enough to do anything about it. Perry slams him down for a third and final time. Hitman Alex lays prone in the center of the ring, feeling the ill effects of the triple suplex. Perry wastes no time. He climbs to the second rope, lifts his right elbow up beside his head, and begins his decent toward Alex. The look on Paddy's face is pure joy, as his elbow connects perfectly with the Hitman's sternum.

Say what you want about Perry, but this man can wrestle. A flawless elbow drop from the second rope landed with quite an impact!

I will say what I want about Perry! He's Spineless! Alex shouldn't even be in that ring! He's injured for God’s sake

If he can't play ball, he shouldn't be on the field!

Oh you can't be serious!...

As colorful color commentary team continues to bicker, Paddy continues his vicious assault. Perry rolls Alex onto his back, places the Hitman's left arm between his legs, and wraps his knuckles around his opponent's mouth and nose and begins to pull harder with all of the strength his 17 stone frame has to offer. As Alex bears the first few seconds pressure, he refuses to surrender to the enemy, but this battle is all but lost. The lights begin to dim, and the room begins to spin for the courageous Hitman, as he passes out from the pain.
The Ref rings the bell. This one is over.

Perry releases the hold, rolls out of the ring and raises his arms in victory.
