Rumors began flying that CM Punk was retiring soon after a message he posted on Twitter yesterday. Punk, who has a habit of hinting that he will retire much sooner than anyone suspects, posted the following after the Detroit house show last night:

Punk is believed to be signed with WWE through the coming summer (and of course could sign a new deal), and no one within the company believes that the Twitter posting was any sort of indication that he is retiring in the immediate future.

I don't see why he'd retire. He's fairly young.

He needs an energy boost or something.

I don't see him retiring anytime soon though.

Maybe it's less about retirement and more about jumping ship? Unlikely, I know, but you never know. Punk IS an unpredictable individual.

Punk hates TNA.

Jumping ship...to ROH or Japan before ever considering TNA.
