| - TNA sent out the following statement from Chavo Guerrero, via press release. Guerrero held the "Fired" briefcase last night on Impact, and his time with the company is now done…
"With so many other endeavors in my life, this separation will allow me to focus on these and future opportunities. I have nothing but good things to say about TNA and President Dixie Carter, and I want the absolute best for them. I look forward to watching ‘Impact Wrestling's' continued success, dedicating my time to the opportunities that have been presented and attacking new ventures in ‘Guerrero Style.' Viva La Raza!" | I've seen Chavo a few times live on house shows, probably three or four at least. He always puts on a great show. He is always 100 percent focused and in character and you can count on him for a really solid 10- to 15-minute match where he makes the other guy look great.
A real pro.
I wish his last name had been Garcia or something so he wouldn't have all this Eddie hate. Dude has been a wrestler's wrestler for a long time and for some reason gets no love from people who claim to appreciate the genre.
I'd be happy to see him any time or in any promotion that he popped up nearby. |

| No, he gets no love because everything he's ever done postEddie, has been dedicated to Eddie in some way or form. Hes taken the 3 Amigos move plus the frog splash. His career since 2006 has revolved around his uncle and not himself. I get trying to honor his memory but EVERY TIME you're out in the ring? After a while, it gets tedious. |

That's kind of my point. I take the Three Amigos as tribute, but, geez, the frog splash isn't exactly a copyrighted Eddie move. I mean probably 25 percent of the roster uses it but because of his last name people resent him for it. I really enjoyed him in La Familia and hate what they did with/to him after. He comes from a famous wrestling family, which dates back far before Eddie's fame. Like he's the first wrestler ever to try to use that. Heck, EDDIE used that, and made Chavo a part of that when they feuded in WCW and teamed in WWF. IMO a lot of people were crushed when Eddie died and Chavo has ever since taken some of the heat for that. I don't recall Chavo putting himself over at the press conference with Vince announcing Eddie's untimely death. Vince wanted him there for that. He didn't crash the press conference and jump up on a table and say, 'Hooray, my cousin is dead. I will become a star in his place.' It seems to me that the backlash against Chavo -- ooooh, he tried to steal Eddie's legacy and put himself over in Eddie's place -- should be directed equally at VKM and the WWE machine. People act like he went rogue and did all these things without the context of it being a script. Yeah, he did the tribute thing in the tribute shows but then Randy Orton comes out and buries the Guerrero legacy with a heel promo and Chavo steps into that role to defend the family honor -- which is a scripted angle, not something the man did personally. I guess he should have stayed Kerwin White. |

You know no one ever complains that Eddie kept using the frog splash just because his tag team partner Art Barr invented it. Barr died and Eddie wanted to pay tribute to him. ____________________ |

| Yeah but Eddie wasn't referring to his former partner every two minutes either.
I've never been high on Chavo anyway even before Eddie passed away. He's just God awful on the mic. He rambled on that much once on Impact, they just cut him off and went to commercial break...they eventually realised that he didn't offer TNA anything really. Why they thought he would in just another generic tag team is beyond me. He should have been in the X-Division. |

But then, of course, you have people with more charisma in the X Division than Chavito, so really, that wouldn't work either *cough* Aries *cough* |
