PostSubject: Re: 5.) Tag Team Championship Match: D-Volution vs Takumi Sanu & ???   5.) Tag Team Championship Match: D-Volution vs Takumi Sanu & ??? EmptySun Dec 22, 2013 5:25 pm

Up next is the first Tag Team Championship match since Endure, months ago. Since then, an epic feud commenced between the new Tag Team Champions Dominik Diveraz and Takumi Sanu that came to its thrilling conclusion at XtremeMania earlier this month. Now that Takumi and Dominik have gone their separate ways, Sanu was finally able to announce his new tag team partner, which ended up being revealed as none other than Giselle Von Wolf! After revealing his new partner, and the duo choosing the name "The Guys Without Masks", Takumi stated he wanted to defend the titles tonight. Ever the generous General Manager, Razor Xtreme granted him his wish and set up this match tonight against D-Volution. D-Volution are already doing very well for themselves, holding the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships among themselves. If they win tonight, they'll have every active Championship in XWA barring the Hardcore Championship. Needless to say, this is going to be Takumi and Giselle's first challenge together as partners and it may be one of their hardest of all time. Will they be able to succeed in their first night together as Tag Team Champions or will D-Volution prove to be too much for the new team?

DING! DING! DING!

It appears Takumi Sanu and JHalc are the two men whom choose to start this match off together. As David and Giselle wait on their respective corner, the two combatants hook up in the center of the ring with a Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up. It doesn't take long for JHalc to overpower his opponent, using his height advantage to gain leverage. He pushes the Japanese wrestler back into a vacant corner of the ring as referee Ryu begins a count to five. Not wanting to get his team disqualified already, JHalc lets go of his opponent at a count of three. He doesn't let up, however, immediately kicking Sanu in the gut and going for an Irish Whip. Takumi has the wherewithal to reverse the whip into an Irish Whip of his own, sending JHalc flying towards the opposing turnbuckle. Sanu rushes at him, looking for a turnbuckle Clothesline, but JHalc moves out of the way just in time and Takumi hits the turnbuckle hard. With his opponent groggily stumbling out of the turnbuckle, JHalc hits the ropes to gain some speed before running straight ahead at his adversary, looking for a Clothesline. Takumi provides a little unique defense, however, as he leaps into the air, Dropkicking JHalc's arm as it was extended out for the Clothesline! JHalc flails around in pain, letting out a light scream as well, whilst the Tag Team Champion waits for his opposition to turn around. When the timing is right, he leaps into the air, kicking his opponent directly in the cheek with a Gamengiri! Takumi goes for the early cover. One! Kickout just after one! The crowd applauds the early action between these two young superstars as the match is only getting started and there is so much more to come.

Ted Cedar
"That was an innovative counter there by Takumi, Dropkicking JHalc's arm to get away from the Clothesline attempt. Followed up by a very brutal Enzuigiri."

Adam Dennis
"It hit his face, that's a Gamengiri you uneducated twat."

Looking to keep himself fresh, Takumi tags in his new tag team partner. Before exiting the ring, the Japanese wrestler Irish Whips JHalc into the furthest set of ropes. Giselle quickly enters the ring and runs at his opponent, the two colliding in the center of the ring; Wolf's head meeting the Intercontinental Champion's chest with a Battering Ram Headbutt! Giselle goes for the lateral press. One! Tw—Kickout at one and a half! Not fretting at the early kickout, the German superstar lifts his opponent back to his feet and lands a painful Knife Edge Chop, accompanied by a "WOO!" from the audience. He lands a few more, all the while pushing his opposition closer to an empty corner of the ring. Eventually, by the time JHalc has a bright red chest, they make it to the turnbuckle. Giselle lifts JHalc up to the top turnbuckle, seating him there, before taking off to the opposing corner of the ring. He then runs back towards JHalc, jumping up onto the middle turnbuckle and appearing to be going for some sort of Avalanche maneuver, but JHalc blocks it with a punch to the face of his opponent just as he made it up the turnbuckle. Giselle falls backwards, a loud thud being heard as his body hits the canvas and his head snaps back. Slowly, "The Bard" begins getting back to his feet as JHalc perches himself atop the turnbuckle. Once he sees the opportunity, JHalc leaps into the air, looking for a Cross Body to take down the taller man, but Giselle leaps into the air at the last moment possible, landing a Dropkick directly to the mid-section of his opponent whilst in air! The crowd pops at the big reversal as Giselle rolls onto his opponent and goes for the cover. One! Two! But it's a kickout just after two, the closest of the match so far.

Ted Cedar
"Excellent reversal there by Giselle."

Adam Dennis
"Just when it looks like JHalc was gonna mount some offense, Giselle shuts him down."

Quickly, the long-haired superstar gets back to his feet. He yanks JHalc back up to a perpendicular base as well, before applying a Front Chancery and taking the shorter, yet heavier man down with a Snap Suplex. Instead of going for the pin, however, Giselle decides to sit his opposition up and apply a Headlock. At first, JHalc tries to pry Giselle's hands and arms off of him, but to no avail. After a while, he begins to fade. That is, of course, until the crowd intervenes. The audience begins clapping in an attempt to will the Intercontinental Champion on. JHalc's leg begins shaking with momentum coursing throughout his body. The only American-born wrestler in this match begins to get back to his feet, whilst Giselle keeps the Headlock applied. Once there, he starts to elbow Von Wolf in the gut numerous times until he eventually releases the Headlock. Feeling the adrenaline pulsing throughout his body, JHalc runs to the ropes to gain momentum before returning, only to be drilled in the face with a lightning-quick Dropkick from the German superstar! Not showing any wasted motions, Giselle pulls his foe back to his feet and drags him to his team's corner before tagging in Takumi. JHalc is then hoisted up so that his head and arms are hanging off of the top rope whilst Giselle holds him up by his legs, to keep his body perfectly horizontal. Takumi grabs a hold of the top rope, whilst kneeling down a bit to measure the distance he's going to need for this jump. He leaps into the air, springboarding off of the top rope and bringing both feet down into the back of his elevated opponent to land a brutal Double Foot Stomp! Giselle exits the ring as Takumi pulls JHalc away from the ropes and goes for the cover. One! Two! Thr—Kickout at two and a half, much to the crowd's delight!

Ted Cedar
"What an innovative double team maneuver by Giselle and Takumi right there! These two men are already working well together as a cohesive unit."

Adam Dennis
"JHalc needs to get a tag, bad. That guy's being dissected by these two. Every pin is that much closer to him losing the match for his team."

Looking to wear down the Intercontinental Champion some more, Takumi raises him to his feet and throws a shot. Unfortunately for him, this shot was catch by JHalc who replies with one of his own. Takumi goes for a second punch attempt, but again it's blocked and the American wrestler replies with another swift punch. For a third time, Takumi goes for a punch, but unsurprisingly it's blocked and JHalc lands a third shot. He begins to lay into his curly-haired opponent with punch after punch, forcing Takumi into a groggy state. With his opponent feeling the effects of those shots, JHalc runs to the ropes and ricochets off of them to gain speed and momentum. He ducks under a Clothesline attempt from the Osaka-native and keeps running, bouncing off of the opposing set of ropes and going for a very impactful running Cross Body that lands to perfection! With his opponent finally down for the time being, JHalc quickly tags David Michaels into this match for the first time, as the audience erupts into cheers for the emergence of the World Heavyweight Champion. He rushes into the ring and takes Takumi, whom had gotten back up, down with a Clotheslines. Takumi gets back to his feet only to be taken down with a second Clothesline. This time, when Sanu gets up, David has something much more devastating in mind. He shoots his leg up, looking for his Superkick known as the Shattered Teeth Symphony! Takumi, however, has the instinct and reflexes to fall backwards and slide out of the ring before he could be hit by his opponent's finishing maneuver. That doesn't stop David from remaining on offense, however, as he heads to the ropes and waits for Takumi to turn back around. Once the timing is right, David vaults over the top rope and crashes into his opponent with a Slingshot Cross Body! The fans cheer heavily as the action spills to the outside of the ring.

Ted Cedar
"Takumi was lucky to dodge that Shattered Teeth Symphony attempt from David."

Adam Dennis
"He didn't dodge that Cross Body, though."

On the outside of the ring, David pulls his adversary back to a vertical base before grabbing a hold of his wrist and pulling him into an Irish Whip directed at the steel steps. Takumi showcases his agility, however, as he leaps right over the steps and lands on the other side. This doesn't stop David from striking, however, as he runs and jumps onto the steps before leaping off with a diving Clothesline to take his opponent down. By now, the referee has reached a count of five and David is ready to bring this back into the ring. He pulls the Japanese superstar up to his feet and slides him into the ring, reentering the squared circle after him by rolling in under the bottom rope. David makes the tag, trying to keep his team fresh, and then he proceeds to grab a hold of Takumi's legs, placing each ankle under his armpits. JHalc grabs the top rope and gets ready on the apron as David gets Takumi in position. Once the timing is just right, JHalc leaps into the air and springboards off of the top rope. While this is happening, David falls backwards, pulling Takumi with him in a Catapult, Takumi flying straight into a flying Forearm Shot from JHalc! The American wrestler jumps around in the ring, showboating all about as David shakes his head and yells for him to go for the cover. After a bit of showboating, JHalc eventually does as his partner says and tries to cover Takumi. One! Two! Kickout just after a count of two! JHalc grins as he looks at David, as if to say "he would've kicked out anyway".

Ted Cedar
"Well, JHalc took a bit too long to showboat there and Takumi kicked out of the pin."

Adam Dennis
"Hey, he's having fun. Let the man enjoy himself."

JHalc begins to stomp on his adversary to weaken him a bit more. Once he feels he's sufficiently weakened him, he raises Takumi back to his feet and tosses him into his team's corner before landing a couple mudhole-like kicks to the guy. JHalc tags his partner back in and he enters the ring. The two of them push Takumi to a seated position atop the turnbuckle. Following this, they simultaneously climb to the middle turnbuckle before both applying a Front Chancery to Takumi, seeming to be setting up for a Double Superplex! Sanu starts to fight out of it, however. He lands a shot to the ribs of David before punching JHalc in the ribs as well. He goes back and forth with these punches until the two men let go of his head. He then strikes JHalc over the head with a forearm shot and Headbutts David. The Headbutt causes David to drop to the canvas and one final punch to the head of the Intercontinental Champion does the same to him. As both men get back to their feet on the canvas, Takumi stands upright on the turnbuckle. He leaps off, putting his lower body first as he lands a Dropkick with one foot hitting each opponent! A loud thud is heard upon the three men making impact with the canvas, as JHalc rolls out of the ring and the other two remain down. The crowd cheers at the big Dropkick. Takumi appears to have hurt himself on the landing maybe just as much as he hurt his opponents, which prevents him from going for the cover at this exact second.

Ted Cedar
"It looked like D-Volution was going for a double Superplex right there, but Takumi managed to avoid it and landed a huge Dropkick!"

Adam Dennis
"It was a thing of beauty, Teddy."

With his opponent down for the time being, Takumi looks over to his team's corner of the ring at his partner, whom is extending his hand over the top rope for a tag. Slowly, the Japanese wrestler begins to scratch and claw his way over to the corner so he can make the tag. Every inch he gets closer, however, David gets closer to reaching his feet as the World Heavyweight Champion has just begun to get up. Takumi gets close to Giselle and extends his arm out for the tag, but suddenly his hand is flying away from his partner's. This is due to David Michaels, whom grabbed Takumi by his foot and dragged him back into the center of the ring. The Englishman begins stomping on Takumi's back a couple of times before pulling him back to his feet and going for a punch. Showcasing quick reflexes, Takumi ducks under the attempted punch and pops up behind David. He spins Michaels around and begins going to work on the side of his left leg with kicks. Landing kick after kick, Takumi is looking good as he tries to dissect his opponent's leg and knee areas. Eventually, however, David manages to catch one of the attempted kicks and he trips Takumi, still holding onto his leg. He grabs his opponent's other leg, placing them under his armpits, before turning "Sento-Ki" onto his back and applying a Boston Crab! The crowd lets out a largely mixed reaction to this as they aren't quite sure who they want to root for. On one hand, we have the underdog Takumi, whom had to go through so much pain and trouble with Dominik in recent months and, on the other hand, we have the beloved World Heavyweight Champion and XWA veteran. With or without the fan's support, however, Takumi is going to need to find a way out of this submission and quick.

Ted Cedar
"David Michaels has applied the Boston Crab! This may be it! Will Takumi tap out?"

Adam Dennis
"Takumi's a lot of things, but a quitter? Nah, I don't think so."

The Boston Crab is applied tightly. Takumi is in the center of the ring. Can he make it all the way to the ropes, find some other form of escape or will he tap out and cost his team the Tag Team Championships? He lets out a scream of pain and agony as his body is contorted in an unnatural way, David applying damn near as much pressure as he possibly can to the lower back of the Japanese wrestler. Slowly but surely, Takumi begins his long crawl to the bottom rope. He pauses every couple of pulls as David applies more pressure, forcing him to let out another scream of anguish. Nevertheless, he marches on, looking for that sweet, sweet break from the bottom rope. Now mind you, David Michaels is a seventeen pound heavier man than Takumi. When you mix in the pain that Takumi's in, the fact that he only has his arms to crawl forward with and the size of David, it's certainly no easy task to make it to the ropes, or anywhere for that matter. But, despite this, Takumi continues to crawl and keep the hope alive that he and Giselle will win this match. Speaking of Giselle, he begins clapping on the apron in an attempt to get the crowd clapping as well, which works successfully. Feeding off of the momentum of the audience and Giselle, Takumi pulls himself forward even more and, finally, he's able to reach the bottom rope and force the break! Ryu begins a count to five and David takes full advantage of it, eventually letting go at four. The audience applauds Takumi's heart for sticking in there and not giving up.

Ted Cedar
"I thought for sure that Takumi was gonna tap, but he proved me wrong."

Adam Dennis
"What did I say, Teddy? He's not quitter. I don't like this guy, but I'll be damned if I ever see him tap out."

As Takumi continues to lay on the canvas in pain, David makes the decision to tag the Intercontinental Champion back in. He makes the tag and JHalc enters the ring whilst David pulls Takumi back to his feet. The two apply Front Chanceries, much-like they did on the top turnbuckle earlier. This one isn't getting reversed, however, as the two men fall backwards, bringing Takumi down into a double DDT! As David rolls out of the ring, JHalc goes for the cover. One! Two! Thr—Kickout at two and a half! Getting a tad bit angered by the kickout, JHalc gets on one knee and begins pounding in the face of his opposition with punches. He follows this up by lifting Takumi back to his feet and wrapping his arms around the neck of his foe, setting up for a Side Effect! Takumi is having none of it, however, as he elbows his opponent numerous times in the body, causing him to let go of his grasp. Once freed, Sanu immediately jumps into the air, snapping his foot into the back of his opponent's head with a vicious Enzuigiri! Following the move, as JHalc falls to the canvas, so does Takumi, out of exhaustion. With the crowd cheering, both men begin the long journey to their team's corner. JHalc is further away from his corner than Takumi is from his, but he's also moving a lot faster than his opponent, being the fresher of the two. JHalc makes the tag to David as Takumi extends his hand out to tag Giselle. Before their hands can touch, however, David runs into the ring and clobbers Von Wolf over the head, knocking the German wrestler to the floor outside of the ring. He then quickly turns around and jumps into the air, landing a Leg Drop to the back of Takumi's head dubbed the Fameasser! He goes for the cover. One! Two! Thre—Kickout at the last moment possible as the crowd goes wild!

Ted Cedar
"Takumi kicks out! I can't believe Takumi kicked out!"

Adam Dennis
"God damn, what do they gotta do to keep this guy down?"

Looking to get right back on offense, David lifts Takumi to his feet and lands a chest-brightening Knife Edge Chop heard all around the arena. Takumi responds with a kick to the side of Michaels' left leg, before the World Heavyweight Champion lands a second Knife Edge Chop. The two continue to exchange these shots, chops from David and kicks from Takumi. Eventually, it's David whom gets the upper hand as he lands repeated, uninterrupted chops to the chest of his adversary. He follows this up with a couple of punches to the head of Takumi before kicking him in the gut and applying a Front Chancery. The British cowboy goes for a Suplex, but Takumi somehow manages to land on his feet behind his opponent! Trying to keep the ball in his court, David turns around, only to receive a Roundhouse Kick from Takumi! Once again, due to fatigue, Takumi drops to the canvas. Again, it's a race to see who can make the tag first. This time, however, it's Takumi whom wins the race, making the tag to Giselle as the audience roars. Von Wolf runs into the ring and knocks JHalc off of the apron for a little bit of revenge on David doing the same to him. He then turns around and sees David trying to pull himself back to his feet. He Clotheslines the World Heavyweight Champion, but David pops back up to his feet, perhaps running on adrenaline. He's taken down with a second Clothesline and the process repeats itself a third time. Giselle lets out a loud yell near the ropes as Michaels tries to find his footing once more. "The Show Stealer" runs towards his German adversary, only for Giselle to side step him and send him flying outside of the ring, landing next to JHalc. Feeling all of the momentum in the World, Giselle takes a few steps back and waits for both men to reach their feet. Once the timing is right he runs at the ropes, leaping over them and landing a huge suicide Dropkick known as the Inis Mona! The crowd erupts in cheers as both opponents are crashed into and a "This Is Awesome" chant begins all throughout the arena.

Ted Cedar
"The Inis Mona to both opponents by Giselle!"

Adam Dennis
"As weird as this guy is, and he's pretty damn weird, that was a sick move."

The German almost instantly returns back up to his feet with a triumphant roar, only fitting for the "King of Violence" to rejoice in chaos of battle. Giselle grabs Michaels by the hair, dragging him up to his feet before throwing him roughly into the steel steps leaving the nearby fans to scream out “Ooooh!” Wolf doesn’t let up for a moment, instantly charging and kicking the World Heavyweight Champion in the ribs to send him rolling over onto his back. The only thing to save David, even for a moment, is the official’s count of 7 towards a count out. Not one to let such things get in the way of a fun fight, the "Wolf of Germany" rolls into the ring, before rolling back out to continue his assault. Only he’s forgotten just one thing. JHalc is still on the outside as well. A mistake for which the newly crowned tag champion pays dearly as the Intercontinental Champion drives his knees into the German’s back with his JHalc Express! The referee watches as this match further delves into a complete nightmare to officiate, but from the looks of it, the challengers aren’t fans of it either as rather than continue the brawl outside, they roll Giselle back into the ring. D-Volution swiftly follows, as they bring the Bard back up to a standing base, before whipping him across the ring. Upon rebounding from the ropes, Wolf is nearly flipped inside out by a Double Clothesline from the Challengers!

Ted Cedar
"D-Volution has taken control of this match once again."

Adam Dennis
"What a Clothesline, too. Turned Giselle inside out."

The official then attempts to remove JHalc from the ring, hoping to keep some form of order in this match, something that can rarely be done when tag action is upon us. Jay decides to go without a fight, knowing full well that this match is in their favor, no need to give the official any reason to delay their progress. The World Heavyweight Champion continues to lead the charge for his team now, lifting Wolf up to his feet, before throwing him into the ropes once more, Giselle refuses to rebound once more however, holding onto the top rope for dear life as his feet fly into the air. "The Heartbreak Kid" doesn’t allow this to prevent him from continuing to take advantage as he knees the German in the gut and whips him back into his corner. JHalc immediately grabs him from behind, leaving Giselle wide open to a body splash from the world champion, who promptly tags in his tag team partner into the match! JHalc wastes little time as his partner pushes Wolf against the turnbuckle for him. The Main Event chops the chest of the German, not once, not twice, but thrice as the Bard’s chest burns red from the repeated hits.

Ted Cedar
"These chops from JHalc cannot feel good."

Adam Dennis
"Giselle really needs to make a tag or he can be losing those belts on his first night of holding them."

The referee quickly breaks it up, forcing Michaels to get back behind the ropes, as JHalc starts to continue the beat down of the "Bard". "The Jack of Hearts" quickly whips Giselle for the umpteenth time, before catching him and dropping him back down with a quick roaring elbow that leaves Giselle disoriented enough for JHalc to knee him in the gut and prepare for a powerbomb or quite possibly even the finish to this contest! Giselle, beaten and battered as he is, is having none of that however, as he uses every last ounce of strength to lift his foe up and over back onto the canvas before he attempts to run over and tag his partner in, only to fail as Jay catches him by the ankle. Giselle, already filled with Adrenaline once more, simply decides that instead of tagging back in, to drop back with an elbow drop to the "Main Event"! The fans are all leaning forward in anticipation as things are building up and they are building up fast as Giselle gets back up to his feet, pounding his chest and getting ready to climb up to the top rope, before “CRACK” he’s hit by a Superkick from David Michaels, the Shattered Teeth Symphony, before he can get even one step up. The official sighs as he’s finally lost full control of this contest as Takumi rushes in to aid his partner.

Ted Cedar
"The official needs to get some order back into this match!"

Adam Dennis
"I don't think he can, Ted."

The British cowboy doesn’t even see it coming as Sanu jumps up and hits Michaels right in the face with his Busaiku Knee Kick finisher dubbed the Hizakeri! David rolls out of the ring from here, attempting to recover from the damage as Sanu turns to JHalc and looks to hold off his foe long enough for Giselle to recover from the Shattered Teeth Symphony, easier said than done. Especially as the official looks like he sees a chance to bring some order back, before JHalc catches his Oriental foe in a Float Over DDT! The fans are going nuts as everyone but JHalc is now down on the ground, with Giselle slowly recovering from the Superkick, but still seemingly dazed. With this being pretty clear, JHalc reaches down to attempt to finish him off, only to be grabbed by his arm and dragged down to the canvas as Wolf manages to groggily apply his finishing Anaconda Vice, or as he calls it, The Everlasting Victory! The crowd goes nuts as JHalc is all on his own! Will he quit? Can he get to the ropes? Or will Michaels make it back in time to break the hold? All these questions fly through the Intercontinental Champion’s head as he reaches for the ropes, every second becoming more unbearable than the last. Michaels, slowly recovering, notices the struggle and attempts to quickly enter, but it’s too late as JHalc taps, giving the victory and retention to the champions! Giselle immediately releases the hold when he hears the referee calling for the bell.

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar
"JHalc taps! The Intercontinental Champion taps! The Guys Without Masks retain!"

Adam Dennis
"Great, that greedy little shit David Michaels won't be getting another Championship."

Giselle slides out of the ring, where his new partner is, as David checks on JHalc.

Laura Watts
"Here are your winners, and STILL XWA Tag Team Champions, Giselle Von Wolf and Takumi Sanu, the Guys Without Masks!"

Ted Cedar
"What a battle these four men just put on for those Championships!"

Takumi and Giselle celebrate with the titles as the scene fades out to a commercial break.

DING...DING...DING!!!

The bell sounds and this XWA Tag Team Championship match is underway! Takumi Sanu appears to be the one starting the match for his team, while the newly crowned XWA Intercontinental Champion JHalc is doing the same for his. Only Takumi and JHalc have faced in the past so familiarity isn't really at an all time high in this contest, As a result all four are rather cautious in charging head in. Nevertheless, the two men between those ropes begin to circle one another, staring the other out before they both burst into the centre of the ring and lock up. After a few seconds struggle, Sanu shoves JHalc backwards onto his back. The Jack of Hearts almost rolls over himself as he lands near his corner. Michaels, his partner, reaches over the ropes and pats him on the back a few times for encouragement, while the Japanese half of the Tag Team Champions looks pretty pleased with himself, but finds the time to puts his hands together and slightly bow to JHalc. The Intercontinental Champion looks up with a screwed up look on his face, having no clue what that gesture actually means.

Cedar:
"A sign of power yet respect by Takumi Sanu there, Adam."

Dennis:
"Was it? How do you he just didn't wish JHalc dead there?!"

Cedar:
"Oh come on. You know as well as I do that Sanu wouldn't harm a fly..."

Dennis:
"Cedar...never trust a Chinese man."

Cedar:
"...he's Japanese."

Dennis:
"You say tomato I sa..."

Cedar:
"...I get you..."

JHalc, obviously nursing a few injuries from last night, slowly gets back up to his feet still with that confused look on his face. He turns to Michaels asking what that meant, comically reenacting the hand bowing motion from moments earlier. Michaels shrugs his shoulders and tells JHalc "maybe he wants Sushi". Jay scratches his head before turning back to Takumi. Rather unexpectedly, JHalc actually asks Takumi is he wants...Sushi. Takumi just blankly stares at the Intercontinental Champion; despite not being the best at English, he certainly understood that...and doesn't take too kindly. JHalc turns around and looks back at Michaels, shrugging his shoulders wondering what to do. Michaels then jumps down from the apron and reaches under the ring, pulling out...a plate of Sushi! He slides it into the ring and tells JHalc to offer some to Sanu. JHalc nods happily in approval, coming to the conclusion in his mind that this is what the funny Japanese man that he's never met in his life actually wants...

Cedar:
"What on Earth are they doing?!"

Dennis:
"Come on Cedar! It's a well known fact Chinese men like Sushi!"

Cedar:
"He's Japanese!"

Dennis:
"TOMATOES!"

JHalc holds up the medium sized silver plate full of delicious Sushi and extends it towards his opponent. Takumi looks at it before smiling, nodding his head and taking a piece. He eats it in delight, as JHalc turns to Michaels and gives him a giant thumbs up. All was well with international relations...until JHalc turned back around and Takumi whacks the plate out of JHalc's hands and the sushi goes flying into his face. The crowd bursts into laughter while JHalc screams out at the sushi all over his face. Before he can even tend to that properly, Sanu has since commenced kicking the Jack of Hearts all over his body with lighting quick kicks. JHalc doesn't know what's hit him, as he yells out in horror asking Sanu to stop! Of course he doesn't and instead leaps up into the air and Dropkicks the Intercontinental Champion square in his sushi ridden face. He falls backwards and splats right into the rest of the sushi now on the mat! He quickly gets to his feet, yelling at Michaels for help, before he's grabbed around the waist from behind and is sent flying overhead via a Release German Suplex! JHalc lays on his back, more horrified by the dead fish all over him than the pain from the kicks and Suplexs! Michaels hears the cries of his and yells out "I WILL SAVE YOU!" in an idiotically comical fashion, before climbing through the ropes and darting across the ring...until he slips on the sushi, that is, and lands flat on his back and rolls around in it!

Cedar:
"What in God's name is going on?! Do they have any clue what they are doing?!"

Dennis:
"This is the greatest thing I have ever seen, Cedar!"

Cedar:
"David Michaels just slipped on sushi. Yes, you are hearing me right ladies and gentlmen, David Michaels just slipped on sushi...and now he's rolling around in it."

Dennis:
"Ya' know...there is something really fishy about this match, Cedar..."

Cedar:
"I sense this may be a long night..."

Sanu's partner, Giselle von Wolf, just looks on while on the apron and is just keeling over with laughter. Michaels struggles up to his feet, he too now covered in sushi. He stands up and looks at himself, completely and utterly horrified yelling out how much it stinks. He walks over to the ropes and looks down at Nova for help, which he doesn't get, before turning back around and suddenly being Clotheslined over the top rope to the floor! Sanu, who is clearly on fire, swivels around and rebounds off the ropes before charging towards a recovering JHalc. He leaps into the air and smashes JHalc in the skull, once again, with a Running Dropkick to the side of Jay's head that sends him immediately back down to the mat. The smaller man forces the challenger onto his back on the mat and covers him for an early pin attempt.

One!

Kickout!

Dennis:
"What was the little one thinking he could accomplish there?"

Cedar:
"Catching your opponent off guard is an easy way to steal a victory."

Dennis:
"Well clearly it didn't work."

Takumi pops back up in a flash from the pin attempt, but JHalc still doesn't seem to have his bearings following the shot to his head. He rolls over onto his side and tries to shake the cobwebs out of his head, but Sanu isn't going to give him time to recover. He runs again at JHalc, this time not wasting the time to bounce off of the ropes a drops to his side sliding towards Jay's head once again and connecting with his head and neck with a baseball slide. Jay manages to turn just before contact and get his arms in front of his face, but still absorbs all of the force of the kick and is propelled backwards towards the ropes. Takumi rolls on his side and pushes himself off of the mat running in the other direction, but this time Jay is close enough to the ropes on the other side of the ring to get himself up. Takumi rushes towards him and leaps, but JHalc catches him in mid air and tries to dump him over the top rope with a Samoan drop, but is countered. Takumi wraps his legs around the neck of JHalc and allows himself to be dumped over the top rope JHalc is jerked backwards into the ropes and Takumi hooks JHalc's arms as he falls into the ropes locking in a figure four necklock submission hold. JHalc caught off guard finds himself at the will of Takumi, and as the referee starts counting a rope break for the illegal hold Jay does the only thing he can. Takumi, hanging upside down with his head between the middle and bottom rope. Not so easily defeated, JHalc tries to lift his leg up to the height necessary, and actually manages to slide his foot on top of the bottom rope. Just as the referee pries Takumi's left leg from around the neck of JHalc, Jay turns and delivers a kick to the base of Sanu's neck that forces a complete break in the hold as Takumi falls to the apron. Giselle steps up onto the bottom rope and leans over the top rope, before voicing his frustration about the questionably illegal kick. Jay falls to his knees, and gasps. He looks over to his opponents corner and allows himself a smirk at the reaction he is getting from Giselle, but it fades as he looks to his own corner, and his lack of a partner in it.

Dennis:
"Daivd Michaels took a hard fall following our amateur comedy hour."

Cedar:
"It is possible that he is a bit more torn up from Xtrememania than even he knew."

Takumi turns over on the apron, is reaches up to the middle rope, using it to help him get to his feet. Jay pushes himself up off of his knee, and turns his attention back to his opponent, with tagging out not being an option. However, as he turns, the Intercontinental Champion is hit by a springboarding Takumi with another front dropkick, this time to the chest, which propels him several feet backwards into the XWA Tag Team Champion's corner. Sanu gets back up and delivers a few stomps to JHalc's gut, before tagging his partner into the match, the two preparing themselves for a double team.

Cedar:
"And JHalc is in a whole World of trouble right now. Sanu has really knocked him off course..."

Dennis:
"I think it's more to do with his lack of a competent partner!"

Cedar:
"If anyone in the world could understand his pain, it's me."

The Guys without Masks grab an arm each of JHalc's and push him against the ropes, whipping him off across the ring. The Jack of Hearts rebounds back towards the Tag Team Champions and is launched high into the air with a Double Back Body Drop. His back hits the mat with great force, as Nova helps Michaels back to his feet on the outside. Jay holds onto his back in pain, as the referee demands Takumi exits the ring. He does so whilst also apologising to him, which is bizarre yet refreshing all at once. Giselle pulls his hair back before reaching down and pulling JHalc up by his head. After punching him in the face a few times, JHalc is backed into a corner once again and receives another set of stomps. Giselle then holds onto his arm, leans in and quickly whips him across to the opposite corner. JHalc hits the corner hard and stumbles out in pain, now slowly taking a beating already in this contest. Giselle wanders over to him and grabs him by the head with his left arm, before driving it directly into the mat with a nice DDT. The Intercontinental Champion flops over onto his back and hasn't a clue what is going on. The Wolf of Germany decides to take advantage and go to his natural home - the top turnbuckle!

Cedar:
"Looks like Giselle is calling for a high flying move here! The fans certainly want to see it."

Dennis:
"I hate it when these people start cheering..."

Giselle climbs through the ropes and up onto the top turnbuckle. He takes a moment to gather his balance, as he is a little ring rusty this being his first match back and all. He stands up straight and raises his arms in the air, before jumping off and flipping forwards with a 450 Splash! However, despite the crowd cheering for the move, it doesn't find it's intended target and JHalc rolls out of the way towards the neutral corner. Von Wolf nails the canvas with great force, holding his gut as he attempts to kneel up. JHalc clambers up in the corner, using the ropes for support. He sizes up Giselle, as he slowly walks out of the corner waiting for him to get up. Once back on his feet, Giselle stumbles around and JHalc catches him with his left arm under the chin. He grabs hold of his tights and lifts him into the air, slamming him down to the mat back first with The Side Effect! D-Volution's fans cheer, as JHalc sits up and looks back to his corner, finding his partner now present. The Jack of Hearts doesn't bother getting to his feet, instead half-crawling to the corner past a hurting Giselle, to tag in the XWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Cedar:
"Looks like JHalc has had enough ...and he tags in the World Champion!"

Dennis:
"Suddenly, this match got really sucky..."

David comes through the ropes and closes the distance between himself and his target with only two steps. Giselle turns around, finally making it up to his feet, and takes a hard right hand to the face from the World Champ. Von Wolfe does not back down, hitting the champ with a right hand of his own. David returns in turn, and Giselle follows again,  as fans cheer back and forth for their respective teams. David goes for another hard shot, but it does not find its target, with Giselle throwing up his left to swat the shot away. The high flyer throws another punch, this time sending David reeling back on his feet. Closing the distance between them, Giselle steps forward into another punch, and another, backing Michaels up to the ropes. The newly announced tag champion then grabs his opponent by the wrist and whips him across the ring. David's legs struggle to stay under him, and the fans notice an obvious limp, but he hits the ropes and rebounds back towards his foe. As they come together in the center of the ring, The Bard spins on his heel, and sends a heel kick to the stomach of The Show Stealer that doubles him over. David nearly falls forward to his knees, but Giselle has other plans, hooking his head in a front facelock and then spinnning to his left with a neckbreaker that puts both champions on their back. Von Wolf turns over in a flash, and hooks the outside leg of the World Champion as the referee slides into place.

One!

Tw---kickout!

Cedar:
"The World Champion isn't going to go down that easy!"

Dennis:
"Catching your opponent off guard is an easy way to steal a victory."

Cedar:
"That will have been the funniest thing you said tonight."

Giselle grabs the hair of the World Champion and pulls him up to his feet during the commentator's witty back and forth. David is helplessly lifted at first, but as he gets his legs under him he smacks Giselle's hands away and steps back from his opponent. The Bard hesitates to move forward for a moment, and the two just lock eyes. David smiles, not backing down, and motions for Giselle to come forward. The tag champion obliges, stepping up and expecting a tie-up, but Michaels ducks under his arm and goes around behind him. When he turns, Von Wolf is greeted with a stomp on the toe of his boot. His leg instinctively pulls back and while he is off balance Michaels pushes forward and clotheslines him off his feet. The Wolf of Germany isn't on the ground long though, almost at once he is back on his feet, but turns into a second clothesline. Giselle gets up, but gets a shove from the World Champion back into the ropes. David now takes him by the wrist and whips him across the ring, flipping the roles from their last exchange. There is no boot awaiting Giselle when he rebounds though, instead their is a leaping champion that greets him with a flying forearm smash that causes the crowd to erupt with cheers. Not to disappoint them, David lifts his legs into the air, rocking back on his shoulders and then propelling himself forward and kipping-up off the mat and back to his feet.

Cedar:
"THE WORLD CHAMPION HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!"

Dennis:
"Two words, over rated."

Cedar:
"Overrated is one word,  idiot."

David goes to the corner, looking to tune up the band, but before he can drop the first beat of his song, Giselle is up to his feet. The Bard turns around, and David moves forward, despite not warming up. He raises his boot to the head of the high flyer, but the tag champion ducks out of the way. David is left off balance and Giselle moves quickly away, tagging in the man responsible for his title reign. Takumi wastes zero time getting involved. As soon as his outstretched hand his slapped, Von Wolf ducks for cover and Takumi springboards over top of him, and into the ring. Before he can land any offense, David Michaels surges forward and tackles him out of midair with a uncharacteristic spear. Giselle slides under the bottom rope as the two hit the mat hard. The referee moves in for the pin as David drapes himself over his fallen opponent.

One!

Kickout!

Cedar:
"That is not the way Takumi Sanu wanted to start off his fight with the World Champion."

Dennis:
"I'd be forced to agree with you, for once."

The referee checks on both men, but is swatted away by David who  is already up to one of his knees, and Takumi is leaning against the ropes already on his feet but rubbing at the base of his neck that hit first on their crash to the mat. David looks at Takumi and motions at him to bring the fight to him, just as he did to Giselle. Takumi leans forward away from the ropes to close the gap between the two, but  isn't going to make the same mistake Giselle did. Remembering his opponent's maneuvering the time before, they each take a step towards each other. Sanu pauses long enough to make David raise his own arms into the air for the lock-up, eliminating his ability to cheap shot his way out. Then, the two men lock up in the middle of the ring, and for a moment Takumi  holds his ground, before being over powered by the larger David Michaels. The Show Stealer starts to gain an advantage. He pushes Takumi backwards towards the ropes but Takumi turns on his heel and David is the one that ends up with his back to the crowd. The tag champion slams the champion of the world into the ropes, but David, thinking fast sends a quick kick to the top of the kneecap of Takumi. The smaller man's leg shoots out from under him and as he falls to a knee. Michaels grabs him in a front face lock and whips backwards in a snap DDT.

Cedar:
"David Michaels is finding his stride. This is where he starts to get dangerously good."

Dennis:
"He is never dangerous, nor is he any good."

David gets up to his feet and stumbles into the middle of the ring, to access his situation. His smaller opponent starts to stir, but the World Champion already has a plan. Takumi gets pulled up to his feet and into a front face lock. He hooks the Japanese star's arm up around his neck and then grabs his pants at the waist. David lifts him into the air, but as he gets fully vertical, Takumi turns his body. David struggles to find his balance, and the smaller man finds himself falling away from his captor and landing on his feet behind The Show Stealer. The tag champion lurches forward while David is off guard. He pushes down the challenger's arms and wraps his arms around the man. Sanu pulls himself backwards trying to pull Michaels over his head. The World Champion dead weights him and the two embarrassingly fall ass first to the mat instead of any successful maneuver. Takumi wraps his legs around his prey and, as Michaels struggles to release himself from the bodyscissors, Takumi hooks his arm and pulls it up by his head. David instinctively reaches for his arm and falls right into a trap set by his opponent. Takumi lifts his leg up and crosses it across The Show Stealer's neck, before throwing his other leg over his shoulder as he sits back and locks in the Chokuauto submission hold on the head and neck of of his captive.

Cedar:
"Takumi Sanu has his submission locked in!"

Dennis:
"Not for long!"

JHalc, finding a renewed vigor comes through the ropes, as does Giselle Von Wolf. The former is able to get to the duo before the latter, and simply dives at them, forcing a break in the hold. The standing half of the tag team champions then joins the pile, tackling the Jack of Hearts before he can even start an assault on his partner. David rolls away, and onto the apron where Nova descends on him to make sure he is ok. Giselle cradles Jay's head in his left hand, while raining down right elbows into the side of his head while his partner recovers. Takumi gets back to his feet, and pulls his partner back off of the illegal man in the ring. The duo are then separated from JHalc by the referee, who is trying to stop the match from getting out of hand. He first helps Jay up to his knees before turning his back on the challenger to make sure the champions aren't going to try anything. However, the Jack of Hearts can't be trusted with such a pawn. Before even stepping to his feet, he shoves the referee as hard as he can, sending him crashing into the two champions. Takumi, the smallest man, ends up taking the majority of the weight of the official while Giselle avoids most of the contact. Von Wolf can't close the gap between himself and the Intercontinental Champion fast enough though, and as he steps forward, Jay has already planned his next move. He kicks forward at the gut of the new champion, knowing that his boot will be taken prisoner. The Bard grabs him by the heel and holds his leg, only aiding in the support Jay needed to leap up and kick him in the side of the head with an enziguri.

Dennis:
"Now this is entertainment!"

Cedar:
"How can you be so excited when he is blatantly breaking the rules?"

Dennis:
"Not breaking, just bending."

The referee gets turned around just as Giselle crashes to the canvas, he moves to share a piece of his mind with the Jack of Hearts, as well as remove him from the ring, but the other half of the tag team champions pushes past him in anger. The referee is sent off balance and away from the two but keeps his footing. Sanu goes for another dropkick on Jay as gets within range, but JHalc has seen that move too many times tonight. He steps back, allowing the Japanese star to come just short of contact, and then grabs him by his outstretched legs as he falls to the canvas. The west coast native locks Takumi's feet under his arms and then falls backwards, catapulting the smaller man into the turnbuckle. Except, he had not counted on the tag champion catching his balance on the ropes instead of smacking into the top of the ring post. As JHalc rises to his feet Sanu does a 180 degree turn on the top rope without losing his footing and then leaps forward with a single knee extended in the direction on his unsuspecting target. Jay turns right into Hizakeri, with the knee landing across his cheekbone. The force whips JHalc's neck backwards and then the Japanese star basically rides the Jack of Heart's head right into the canvas. As everyone in the crowd, D-Volution fan or not comes out of their seats with chants of "XWA" and "That was awesome" competing for prevalence. Takumi drapes himself over the Intercontinental Champion, not even bothering to hook his leg as Jay is practically rendered unconscious. The referee slides into position to count the fall.

One!

Two!

Dennis:
"Jay isn't the legal man!"

Cedar:
"He's certainly the unconscious man after taking that Busaiku Knee Kick to the side of the head."

Before his hand can slap the mat a third time, the referee stops, and Takumi looks up from the fall confused before having the situation explained to him. The referee waves that he can't count the fall because Jay is not the legal man, which leaves Takumi irritated to say the least. He turns around, looking at where David Michaels was on the apron a few moments before but doesn't find the World Champion there. Instead, he is in the corner just out of the view of the reigning tag champion, tuning up the band for the sweetest of music. Takumi turns, and David comes out of the corner with a boot raised, and it connects perfectly with a Shattered Teeth Symphony to the Japanese man's jaw. Sanu's head snaps back, and he falls straight back, landing across JHalc and forming the foundation of a pile-up.

Cedar:
"David Michaels just took his damn head off!"

Dennis:
"Yes... we know... we all saw it coming."

What David doesn't see coming as he reaches down to pull Takumi into position for a pin is Giselle getting up to his feet and stepping towards him. By the time he does realize it, he is getting blindsided by a closed right hand that the referee disregards all together. The Show Stealer takes a step away to gain his bearings, but giving a guy like The Bard space is never a good idea. He runs forward when David turns back towards him and leaps into the air, dropping the World Champion with a leg lariat that pumps even more fuel into the crowd's cheers. The Wolf of Germany turns around, and sees David rising back to his feet he is on top of Michaels before he can get anything started, and traps his right arm as Michaels tries to defend himself. In an attempt to free his right arm, David throws a left, but it two gets captured. Seeing his fate a moment before it happens, Michaels winces, but it does not stop the new tag team champion from headbutting him in the face once, twice, and a third time before releasing his arms and letting him fall to the mat. Takumi has since rolled out to the apron, with Jay leaning on the bottom rope in his corner. The official moves to get Giselle out of the ring, but he steps outside the ropes before the referee can even get out a warning. The move is condemned by the crowd with boos, as they were starting to get behind Von Wolf, but they erupt into cheers a moment later as he ascends the turnbuckle that David lies in front of in perfect position.

Cedar:
"The Wolf of Germany is going to fly again!"

Dennis:
"What happened to not breaking the rules?"

Cedar:
"Not breaking, bending."

Giselle gets his balance on the top rope and closes his eyes. He leaps forward, and flips forward one full time before even appearing to descend. He rotates again, this time with his back arched to fall across David Michaels with the Farhtwind 630 Senton, but at the last moment, David turns onto his side and avoids contact while The Bard hits hard on his tailbone. David drapes an arm over the bottom rope, trying to get away from, or at least defend himself from the repercussions of avoiding the contact from Giselle, but as the new half of the tag team champions rises, he is cut in half by a recovered, and now standing JHalc. Jay reaches down as Von Wolf doubles over and crosses his legs before lifting him up into the air and slamming him down with The Killing Joke

Cedar:
"JHalc makes the save for his team!"

Dennis:
"JHalc IS his team!"

Takumi is fighting to stand near the ropes and Jay stands, as the referee checks on Giselle. The Japanese star turns around, and Jay cuts him in half with a kick to the gut, finally finding himself in the driver's seat for the first time in the match. He pulls the man into a powerbomb clutching position as the world champion gets to his feet behind the two. The Jack of Hearts powers the smallest man in the ring up into the air with ease, and then spins around towards David. The Show Stealer leaps up into the air as the gap between he and Jay closes. JHalc brings Sanu down as David drives his knees into the tag champion's back and they let gravity do the rest of the work. The result is the spiking of Takumi's back against the knees of the World Champion with the Devolver. The official steps between Jay and the two legal men, and the Jack of Hearts, raises his hands in feigned innocence. He steps back into the corner as David pulls himself over Takumi. The referee turns towards the legal pin and starts his count.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Dennis:
"New tag team champions!"

Watts:
"Here are your winners....and...the...NEWWWWW XWA Tag Team Championssss....D-VOLUTIONNNNNN!!!!"

Cedar:
"It may not have been strictly by the rule book, but D-Volution got the job done."

Dennis:
"The ends always justify the means. JHalc has won his second belt in as many nights!"

Cedar:
"You do realize he can't stand you, right?"

Dennis:
"Now you're just talking crazy."

The timekeeper steps up from the table and slides the XWA Tag Team Titles under the bottom rope and to the referee. On the opposite side, Nova enters, with the World and Intercontinental Championships in her hands. JHalc reaches down an outstretched hand and helps David up to his feet. Takumi Sanu rolls under the bottom rope and is joined by Giselle Von Wolf at ringside, but the focus of the crowd is in the ring. Nova hands the duo their separate titles, and then moves to intercept the referee with their newest addition. She takes the tag championships from his hands and shoos him away, turning back to D-Volution to present them to the men herself. Nova steps between them, and they each take one of the titles before she raises their wrists, and the titles in victory. JHalc extends his free arm, holding up the Intercontinental Championship and David responds in turn, holding up the highest prize in XWA, the World Championship for a picture perfect moment.

Cedar:
"D-Volution is certainly looking like the most dominant team in XWA today."

Dennis:
"More like the most dominant in the history of XWA!"

Cedar:
"I'm not so sure about that, but it will remain to be seen."

Dennis:
"What a great way to cut away to a word from our sponsors."

With that, the feed cuts to a commercial that nobody remembers what was for because they were all too busy tweeting, texting, calling, instant messaging, skyping, facebooking, or otherwise talking about D-Volution, and their victory.
