On this past Monday's RAW, Daniel Bryan's 10PM top of the hour match with Kane only gained 60k viewers which is a horrible gain for the 10PM quarter hour rating. For example, Cena in this time slot will usually gain 200k+ viewers. On this RAW the AJ Lee 9PM top of the hour segment/match gained over 200K viewers and the John Cena vs. Ryback match gained over 350K viewers. This is bad news for Daniel Bryan as part of being a WWE Superstar is drawing viewers.

What's wrong with the segment? Was just to make Bryan look like an underdog in the match.

actually I felt DB did amazing in that promo. He showed that he can be in the same level as Vince.

But to the casual fan, they dont know that. All they see is Vince talking down about Bryan and that shows them, he isnt someone they should get behind. They probably thought he was going to lose to Kane and thats about it.

I thought the point was DB overcoming the negative things said about him, thus proving himself to all the doubters.

How can someone draw ratings, when the "partner" they're with repels them, anyway?

Yup. And I believe Vince McMahon knows the sound that the remote buttons do everytime he shows up on TV.

I've never heard of the ratings going down when Vince is on TV. Bryan lost viewers in his match with Kane

Maybe is just the time.
Who knows.

I refuse to watch non-live shows. I think that probably had something to do with it...
