| Question: If the Panthers win the Super Bowl this year, would you consider... a. Cam Newton as a top 10 QB? b. or would he be like the new Eli Manning to you? - Quote :
- The Panthers have allowed a league-low 13.1 points per game this season, which has been bolstered by the 12.4 points allowed per game during their win streak.
Lowest TD Percentage Allowed In Red Zone Since 2002 2005 Bears 32.5% 2003 Dolphins 32.6% 2006 Ravens 33.3% 2008 Steelers 33.3% >> Panthers: 32.1% through 12 games
This season the Panthers have allowed a touchdown on only 32.1 percent of opponent’s red zone drives (27.8 percent during the streak). Not only is that best in the NFL this season, it’s the best percentage since the league expanded to 32 teams in 2002.
--------------------
Cam Newton’s season may end up being defined by game-winning drives against the Patriots and Dolphins, but he has stepped up his overall level of play during the win streak after a poor start.
Newton has posted a 71.6 Total QBR during the win streak, sixth best in the NFL during that span. He posted a 33.9 Total QBR through the first four games of the season (29th), when the Panthers went just 1-3. |

| He's already borderline top 10. After about the top 6 or 7 QBs, the rest of the top 10 spots are really up for grabs and Cam has already been one of those guys in contention. If they win a SB this year I think he's in there no doubt considering people started putting Eli about top 5 when the Giants won it. |

| Since I used to live in Charlotte, the Panthers have always been my #2 team. But I agree with We Dat, they aren't winning it this year. They aren't ready. Give them another year or two though and they might just be the best team in the NFL. They need another couple of receivers. 35 year old Steve Smith and Greg Olson aren't going to cut it. |
