What's the dearest game you've bought and why were you willing to pay so much for it?

The most expensive one was WWF No Mercy on the N64, which was £50 at the time. It had just came out and I hadn't had my N64 too long. I pleaded with my parents to buy it and they eventually did...even though HMV put a WCW game in initially by accident xD

Though I didn't technically buy that. I've paid near £50 at times for other games years and years ago from like Christmas money, other than that usually around £35 is my tops now.

I never buy the special edition games when the first come out. I have a Arkham City special edition with a statue and everything, but was only £32. It was like over double that when it first came out lol.

Possibly one of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band games? When you factor in the extras, I mean.

I think it was Tomb Raider: The Collector's edition. I think it was around $90.

If I can't get Xenoblade on Black Friday for $40, then I'll have to get it some other time for $90...

But I know it's going to be topped March 2014 when I get the Collector's edition of Dark Souls 2 which right now is priced at $120.

Never gotten a collector's edition or anything like that and the one Guitar Hero that I got with the drum set / guitar was as a gift. So the most I spent for a game was $60, for almost every game I buy. Although I remember when new games would cost $50
