The team also announced it will bring back nine of Mattingly's coaches.
The Dodgers fired bench coach Trey Hillman last month, but they will retain Tim Wallach, who will move from coaching third base to being bench coach after interviewing unsuccessfully for managerial jobs with Detroit and Seattle.
The only addition to the staff is Lorenzo Bundy, who goes from managing the team's Triple-A club in Albuquerque to taking over Wallach's third-base duties.
Hitting coaches Mark McGwire and John Valentin, pitching coaches Rick Honeycutt and Ken Howell, first-base coach Davey Lopes and bullpen coach Chuck Crim will all return.
Manny Mota and Steve Yeager will be part-time members of the Dodgers' coaching staff.
