6.) David Michaels vs Dante Cross Empty
PostSubject: Re: 6.) David Michaels vs Dante Cross   6.) David Michaels vs Dante Cross EmptySat Nov 02, 2013 1:13 pm

The night has been full of action so far, as Vendetta returns from a quick commercial break before the next contest begins. The fans have already heard from their home town hero earlier on in the night, but now they are eager to see him in action. Dante Cross...or Crotch, as he's effectively known for at least the night...has already made his entrance to a rage of boos. Dante usually gets booed out of every building he enters anyway, but tonight in front of twelve thousand strong of Michael's people, the decibels are twice as loud. Dante waits in the ring, standing in one corner just awaiting the opponent.

Cedar:
"And welcome back to Vendetta everybody, where the XWA Universe here in attendance is awaiting the arrival of the new XWA World Heav.."

Dennis:
"...blah blah blah. The new World Champion. Yes, great. Awesome. You've been telling us all damn night that David Michaels is the new Champion. Would you give your biased commentating a rest just for one night? It's becoming tedious..."

Cedar:
"You hating on Michaels for no reason whatsoever became tedious months ago. That man has put 100% into every match he's been in since his return and last night he earned that World Title to good old fashioned way. So quit your hating on the man. He’s already warned you to quit or he'll kick your teeth all around the arena...and I can't think of a better place than any right here tonight!"

Dennis:
"Do you get paid to lick this guy's rear end of something? Look, even Stevie Wonder can see that Michaels stole the damn title last night and that Hitman Alex should still be the champion. I just hope Dante Cross exacts a little revenge here tonight."

Cedar:
"...I thought he was called Dante Crotch now?"

Dennis:
"Seriously?! Would you quit it?"

Cedar:
"The shoe is on the other foot now..."

Dennis:
"Cedar, now is no time to talk about your foot fetish. We have a match to call!"

Then, it happens. The arena becomes unglued for the second time tonight as David Michael's theme hits.

Watts:
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, to be accompanied by fellow D-Volition member Nova....from SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS!!!"

The crowd goes wild at hearing their town's name!

Watts:
"Weighing in at two hundred and twenty seven pounds....the NEWWWWW XWA World Heavyweight Champion...The Showstealer...DAVIDDDDD MICHAELLLSSSSSS!!!"

The crowd continues to cheer heavily, as David Michaels comes bounding out from behind the curtain under the titantron. Michaels, wearing his special Texas flag coloured tights, twirls around in the middle of the stage, his elaborate entrance attire bouncing in every direction there is. The most noticeable part of his attire, however, is of course his newly won XWA World Heavyweight Championship which he wears around his waist with pride. Nova is stood beside him, holding her hips, still sporting that amazing cowgirl outfit from earlier! The Showstealer then wanders to end of the entrance stage and holds both of his arms up into the air, as Nova applauds him and the fans fully appreciate him. Michaels is feeling a little more nervous than usual, which is understandable considering the context of the night. He looks down towards the ring, where he sees his opponent whom he has disliked for years, but yet never faced.

Cedar:
"And the crowd is going potty for the home town hero!"

Dennis:
"I may need the potty if I have to look at this clown gloat much longer..."

Cedar:
"He just won the World Title. Wouldn't you be damn well pleased?"

Dennis:
"Yes, of course, but I am a humble individual and would not flaunt it like him."

That passage of commentary ends with Cedar bursting into laughter, as the two continue to argue about liking or hating David Michaels. Either way, it's at no odds to the new World Champion. All he's focused on is the task in hand, as he walks down the entrance ramp with Nova with distinct purpose in his eyes - the last thing he wants to do is achieve one of the biggest wins of his career, only to then lose the very next night. Michaels makes his way up the ring steps, before skipping across the ring apron facing the hard camera, the flashes shooting off at rapid rates all around the arena. Michaels face looks serious and yet goofy all at once, as he manages to have a serious expression on his face...yet shake his rear end at the same time! As Nova elegantly climbs into the ring, Michaels does the exact same and begins to twirl around, his entrance gear flying everywhere and almost getting tangled up in the process. He then drops down to one knee in the middle of the ring, facing his left side to the camera, as Nova stands behind him, before popping his left bicep up and fireworks blasting off behind him. Dante moves away from the pyro by stepping out of the ring, not willing to get burned in that way. The Showstealer then jumps up as his pyro is about to end and leaps up onto the second turnbuckle, raising the World Heavyweight Title above his head. Eventually jumps down and hands it to Nova, before unzipping his entrance gear and tossing it out of the ring. Dante makes his way back in and re-establishes his position in the corner, just watching David with sinister eyes. Michaels spots the deathly stare and begins to give it back, showing he isn't remotely intimidated by The Son of Sin.

Cedar:
"And the two combatants have locked eyes and I am not sure either is going to break it. This could end up turning more personal than we first thought."

Dennis:
"Well like I already said, Dante will be angry that his group lost the title last night. They had two men in that chamber, one of which was already champion, and this doofus still walked out with the damn belt! Dante is going to destroy this idiot once and for all..."

Cedar:
"You do realise you've been saying someone is going to end Michaels for about the past two months, right, and it still hasn't happened?"

Dennis:
"Haven't you got a foot fetish to fill?!"

DING...DING...DING!!!

The bell sounds three times and the match is officially under way! The fans are terribly excited to see Michaels in action, as he's looking to be in the best shape of his career. Naturally, he's a little banged up from the war he went through inside that chamber last night, but his spirit is very high right now. His left arm is still holding a fair bit and he has a smallish bandage taping the joint of the shoulder up. At the moment, it doesn't appear to be fazing him at all, but you know for a fact Dante Cross had already spotted long before it was even revealed. David Michaels wanders across the ring, the stare between the two still locked in. Dante doesn't remove himself for his position in the corner, as Michaels is now waiting for him in the middle of the ring. The glare remains, but it appears only one man of the two is ready to start this bout.

Cedar:
"Doesn't look as though Dante Cross is ready to start just yet..."

Dennis:
"Nope and he'll only start in HIS time and not before."

Cedar:
"The bell has already rung..."

Dennis:
"I wish your bell was rung..."

Michaels motions for Dante to meet him in the middle of the ring, but Dante just cocks his head to the right and continues his stare. Michaels becomes a little impatient, as one thing he isn't going to tolerate is mind games from Dante Cross. He then surges forwards and gets about a foot in front of The Son of Sin and informs him to, ever so politely, "SUCK IT!" crotch chopping him with distinct exuberance! The fans cheer for this act of suckery, but Dante doesn't find it a whole lot amusing and before Michaels can go any further in belittling him, he darts forwards and knocks him flat on his back with a Double Leg Takedown! The crowd's joy instantly falls in jeers, as Dante begins pummelling the skull of their hero with loaded right hands. Michaels was completely not expecting that and it can be said that Dante drew him in rather perfectly and, also, far too easily. Dante refuses to stop the punches, forcing the referee to pull him off. He struggles to do so, but eventually manages it. Dante looks rather possessed and shoves the ref away, reaching back down and grabbing a chunk of the champion's hair. He smashes his head into the corner, before following it up with more right hands. Dante quickly then latches onto the left arm of Michaels and Irish Whips him, hard, across the ring. His already injured arm from last night tweaks a little before he collides with the turnbuckles violently. He smacks into the back first before stumbling out, walking right into the grip of Dante, who pops off a nice T-Bone Suplex, dropping Michaels onto his back.

Cedar:
"Dante with the early offence here, nailing a nice T-Bone Suplex to a David Michaels whom I don't think was expecting this, Adam."

Dennis:
"Of course he wasn't. He was too preoccupied with his silly childish activities and got sucked in so easily by the genius that is, Dante Cross."

Dante quickly drops down for the Lateral Press, shoving his right elbow into Michaels face.

1..
Kick out!

Michaels quickly kicks out as the referee counts the one. He instantly gets back to his feet, as does Dante, but can't get the advantage as Dante meets him back up with a kick to the gut. Michaels momentarily leans over, allowing Cross the smash his right elbow into Michaels hurting left shoulder - the weakness has already been exploited. Michaels grunts in anger, PO'd Dante has targeted that arm so early. Dante then whips him across the ring again, this time to the ropes. Michaels rebounds back towards Dante Cross who connects with a quick Powerslam, hooking the far leg after impact.

1..
2...
Kick out!

Once again, Michaels quickly kicks out and it's going to a hell of a lot more to defeat the World Champion than that. The Son of Sin doesn't care, however, and grabs a hold of Michaels head in a Side Headlock as he sits up from the cover - he is determined to have complete control in this contest, right from the get go. Michaels forces himself back up to his feet, however, and pushes him against the ropes. Dante is sent rushing across the ring, rebounding off the opposite set. Dante, however, decides to stay on the offensive and goes for a Clothesline as he runs back in. Michaels ducks it and turns around, watching Cross bounce off the ropes again and rush back in. As he does, Michaels leaps down to the mat, giving Dante no alternative than to jump over him and rebound off the ropes once more. This time, as Dante does, Michaels scrambles back up to his feet and leaps into the air, smashing his two feet straight into the skull of Dante Cross connecting with on of the most beautiful Dropkicks XWA has to offer! The crowd cheers, as Dante goes flying down to the mat, his head snapping back in an unnatural manner. Michaels quickly floats into the Lateral Press.

1..
2...
Kick out!

Cedar:
"Picture perfect Dropkick from Michaels! No one hits them better!"

Dennis:
"Meh, I've seen better..."

Both men get to their feet, Dante slower than Michaels, whom grabs him by the head and shoves him into the corner. Michaels grabs the top rope with both hands to his left and begins stomping away at Cross' mid-section. Kick after kick send spikes of pain through Dante's body, before the ref counts up to four and prevents Michaels from doing any more. This time it is Michaels that shoves the ref away, as he wants to inflict damage to the arrogant superstar. The ref isn't best please at being shoves away twice now in rather quick succession, as Michaels goes right back to stomping Dante. Before the ref can start attempting to get some order back, Michaels then whips Cross across the ring and sends him smashing into the turnbuckles this time! Dante hits the corner, back first, rather hard and wanders back out walking right into the clutch of the World Heavyweight Champion who grabs his left thigh and locks both hands around it. He then pops his hips, lifting him up and dropping him down back first with a Teardrop Suplex, floating into the cover, hooking the far leg after impact.

1...
2....
Kick out!

Cedar:
"Whatever Dante can do, Michaels can do better, it seems."

Dennis:
"Oh how original. So now he's just copying other people's move sets? Seriously?"

Cedar:
"He's proving a point, Adam..."

Dennis:
"Yes, that he sucks."

Michaels sits up and pulls his hair to the back of his head, turning round to look at Dante before getting back up to his feet. The Crucifixionist is slowly making his way back to his feet, not sure how Michaels suddenly got the upper hand. Regardless, Michaels decides to bring the high risk element to this contest and heads over to the ropes, climbing out and walking across the apron. He holds onto the top turnbuckle and begins to pull himself up, planning on leaping off the tope with some high flying move. However, Dante isn't even nearly hurt enough for such a move to connect and is back on his feet, smacking Michaels in the jaw mid way through his ascent to the top. Michaels stops in his tracks, stumbling down back to the apron as Dante cracks another right into his jaw. Michaels walks across the apron, shaking the shots off, before Dante grabs holds of the injured left arm and drops it across the top rope. Michaels immediately drops to one knee, yelling out in pain as he does so. The crowd heavily boo the former XWA Pure Champion, as he backs away from the ropes while David is in pain. Dante surveys the situation and then just charges in, Shoulder Blocking Michaels cleans off the ring apron. The Showstealer does indeed end up doing his high flying move, just not the one he anticipated, as he is forced off the apron and lands chest first across the announce table. Cedar and Dennis move backwards in their chairs, as their table takes a huge thud. Michaels turns around, holding his chest, as he leans back on the table.

Cedar:
"Oh my! Michaels is right on our laps here..."

Dennis:
"YES! GET HIM!"

Cedar:
"Wait a minute...what's Dante doing here?!"

Dennis:
"INCOMING!"

Dante Cross sprints back across the ring and bounces off the ropes, running back to the set he shoved Michaels from. As he gets about a foot in front of the ropes, he leaps forwards and balances himself on the top rope for a split second, before leaping off. He flips forwards through the air, with a somersault, before crashing into David Michaels with a version of the Swanton Bomb! Both men thud to the floor just in front of the announce table, with Dante's legs actually smashing against the top of it, knocking it back several inches. The crowd, despite hating Dante, can't help but appreciate the athleticism of the superstar and do applaud before deciding to boo him once again. Michaels rolls around on the floor, holding his left arm which taken a large chink of the impact. Dante takes his time to get back up to his feet and bows down to the crowd, smiling as he feels he is far better than the current World Heavyweight Champion. The boos soon turn into chant of "YOU SUCK!" for Mr. Cross.

Cedar:
"Cross continuing to show he means business here tonight! Michaels looks to be hurt here."

Dennis:
"Well you wouldn't listen, would you Cedar. I told you Dante was going to end this fool once and for all tonight."

Dante turns around and spots Michaels holding his left arm and reaches down, grabbing hold of it before dragging him up to his feet. The referee has now started to count, leaning over the ropes yelling numbers at the two men. Cross begins to home in on his sinister side and whack's the left arm across the announce table. Michaels jolts backwards towards the ring in pain, as Dante relentlessly goes straight after it, smashing the arm against the ring apron too. The World Heavyweight Champion yells out again, as the ref yells out the number seven to the pair. Michaels instinctively crawls into the ring, trying to get away fro Dante, but he merely follows him climbing up onto the apron. He then reaches over the ropes and grabs Michaels left arm once again, before jumping down off the apron and wrapping it over the top rope. Michaels' whole body whiplashes and he crumbles into the centre of the ring. The Crucifixionist climbs back up onto the apron and wanders across, climbing up onto the top turnbuckle. As Michaels begins to get back up to his feet, Dante Cross leaps off and flies through the air, catching Michaels with a super high Cross Body Slam! The crowd boos heavily as Michaels' spine smashes into the mat and Dante hooks his arm backwards to the near leg.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Dante is shoved off and gets back to his feet, as Michaels attempts to get to his. However Cross is straight back onto that arm, latching hold of it, yanking back. He twists it round in an Arm Wringer, before pulling back down it once again forcing Michaels down to one knee. He sends the point of his right elbow directly into the shoulder, shooting more pain through The Showstealer's body. Dante then twists the arm around again, this time with violence which sends David flipping completely over and landing on his back. However, David Michaels quickly nips straight back up and catches his opponent off guard and twists his arm around instead, three times in a row, until Dante is leaning right over from the coiling of his arm. Michaels then quickly switches to a Side Headlock, putting the pressure on his head. Dante slaps Michaels in the side a few times, before pushing him back towards the ropes and shoving him off. Michaels rushes across the ring, bouncing off the ropes. Dante then reaches out and pushes Michaels high into the air, looking to make him land on his stomach, but Michaels moves his legs out from under him and lands on Dante’s shoulders, in a seated position, before nailing a rapidly paced Hurricanrana! The crowd cheers, as Dante rolls across the ring not knowing what's hit him!

Cedar:
"Hurricanrana by Michaels. He's desperate to make sure Dante doesn't maintain full control here."

Dennis:
"Who wasn't that reversed into a Powerbomb?! It's not rocket science!"

Dante races back up to his feet, as Michaels does the same still nursing his arm. Dante then jogs towards Michaels, but only receives a hard Knife Edge Chop for his troubles, followed up by a stiff second. David then kicks him in the gut and wraps his left arm around his head, before picking his opponent up, twisting around and dropping him down back first between his legs with his favourite Falcon Arrow. Michaels reaches over and pulls the right leg up for the cover.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Literally. Dante uses his free left leg to crack Michaels in the face with it, breaking the pinning predicament. Michaels holds his nose, as the pair manage to get back to their feet. Dante Cross goes for a loose and wild Clothesline, but completely misses. He swings around on the spot 180 degrees, as Michaels ducks under the launched arm. David quickly locks his arms around Dante's waist from behind and surges forwards with him towards the corner. Dante is crushed into the turnbuckles, hard, before being pulled backwards. Both men roll over until returning to the same position, however the momentum and force from Michaels sends Dante flying over and smacking on the back of his neck courtesy of a lovely Chaos Theory Suplex (Rolling German Suplex)! The crowd applauds and chants along with the count, as Michaels has the bridge.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Dante pushes himself out of the cover before flopping onto all fours, reaching out and holding the back of his neck. Michaels pulls himself back up to his feet, shaking out his left arm in the process before heading back to Dante and picking him up. Michaels then reaches down and Scoop Slams the former XWA Pure Champion directly in the middle of the ring, before following it up with a Leaping Elbow Drop, making a loose cover afterwards.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Michaels is pushed off of the weak cover, before he gets back up to his feet. He stomps at Dante's chest a few times before heading over to the corner. Climbing up, he steadies himself as he watches Dante lie still in the ring from under his legs, back to the ring. He then rises up and leaps off backwards, flipping through the air looking to hit the Moonsault. But Dante quickly rolls out of the way towards the corner Michaels leaped from, scouting the move entirely. Michaels lands hard on the mat, clutching his stomach as he connects with nothing but canvas. Michaels struggles back up, as Dante does the same, only a little sharper. He turns to the corner and then leaps onto the second turnbuckle, before flipping backwards himself and catching Michaels with his left arm on the way down and drops him down with a sickening DDC (Reverse DDT Moonsault)! The crowd all give off a loud "OHHHH!" as Michaels head is drilled backwards into the mat with tremendous thrust. Dante reaches over and hooks the far leg.

1....
2.....
Shoulder up!

The fans cheers, as their home town hero manages to pop his right arm up despite being groggy.

Cedar:
"Michaels head just simply drilled into the mat there. Unbelievable velocity from Dante Cross."

Dennis:
"Might have knocked some sense into him..."

Dante sits up and looks at the ref, holding three fingers up at him not believing Michaels could kick out of that. He storms up and begins arguing with the ref, shoving him away to the ropes belittling him as much as possible. The ref is becoming increasingly tired of this and yells back at him, but Dante just ignores it and turns round to his opponent who is stumbling backwards to the corner. Dante then reaches in and whips him across the ring, shooting Michaels back first into the opposite set of turnbuckles. Dante then runs across the ring, but not towards Michaels, but the corner adjacent to it. He leaps up onto the top turnbuckle and then tightrope walks across it until he nears Michaels. as he reaches him, he jumps off and wraps his legs around Michaels' head, looking for his Walk of Fate move. But as he flows backwards, looking to hit the Hurricanrana part of the move, David Michaels dead-weights it and hurls Dante back up and over his head, sending him face first into the top turnbuckle with an Ally Oop Facebuster! Bodily fluids burst out of Dante's mouth, as the fans give off another "OHHHHH!", as Dante loses his senses for a moment. Michaels quickly reaches up and pulls Dante down by the tights via a School Boy Pin.

1....
2.....
Kick out!

Dante pushes himself out of the pin, disappointing the fans who though Michaels got the three there. Michaels quickly stands back up, as does Dante but he's stumbling all over the place. He eventually turns around only for Michaels to shoot his left foot into his chest, using it as a platform to use his right foot and crack him in the side of the skull with a Leg Feed Enzuigiri! The force sends Dante Cross flipping completely in the air and thuds to the mat on his back, as the shot continues to echo around the arena. Dante is laid out cold, as Michaels hooks the far leg.

1....
2.....
Shoulder up!

It is now Michaels turn to get frustrated with the referee, as he kneels up and slaps his hands together three times. Clearly the competitors in this match believe they need to teach the referee in charge how to count. The ref is growing seriously tired of this, as Michaels gets up and continues to argue with him. The ref tries to inform Michaels it was only a two, but he's having none of it and actually shoves the ref back! The ref, not happy Dante did the same deed, is quick to shove Michaels back! The crowd boos the hell out of the ref, as Michaels cocks his head and looks out at Nova, wondering if this dude is for real. Michaels then waves him off and focuses back on Dante, who suddenly quickly reaches up and pulls Michaels down into a Small Package.

1......
2.......
Kick out!

Both men scramble to their feet, Michaels totally not expecting that from Cross! As both get to their feet, Michaels scramble towards Dante, who under-hooks his left arm and whips him onto his back via an Armdrag. Michaels injured arm clicks badly from it being used as a rope for the rest of his body. Regardless, the support from the fans brings him to his feet, but merely walks into a second Armdrag from Dante. This time Michaels stays down and Cross hooks onto the arm, key locking it and giving it a good twist and tug. Michaels lies on his side, as Dante is down on one knee keeping the hold locked in. He shakes his head a few times, trying to shake the cobwebs off from the move Michaels pulled earlier. Doesn't appear to be working too much, however.

Cedar:
"Dante has been working on that arm all match long, which is smart, you have to give him that - Michaels injured that badly last night during the Chamber match as you can see from the bandage."

Dennis:
"Even though Dante will have spent all day studying that match from last night and recognised that arm was a target, it is dumb as hell from Michaels to wrap it up. It's just asking to be hit!"

The crowd begin to slowly clap for Michaels, wanting him to break free of this hold and start kicking some ass! Michaels battles through the pain and begins to hit the canvas with his right foot, encouraging the crowd to clap and cheer louder. They do, second by second, and The Showstealer starts to feed off of it. Dante is still struggling with head pains of his own and doesn't have the move locked in enough. Michaels manages to push himself up onto all fours, before forcing himself up to a vertical base. Cross continues to have the hold locked in, refusing to let go. Michaels then, with a big effort, sends Dante Cross over onto his back with a big Hip Toss! The crowd roars, as Dante is reintroduced to the mat. He gets back up as quick as he can, looking for a running boot, but Michaels ducks underneath it and waits until his opponent turns around. Once he does, David kicks him in the gut with the point of his boot, leaning him over, before bouncing off the ropes. He runs back in and jumps into the air, crashing his right leg down over the back of Dante's neck with the Fameasser! The crowd cheers once more, as Michaels has finished a number of opponents off with this move. Dante's head thuds off the mat and flops over onto his back, as Michaels hooks the far leg.

1.....
2......
Shoulder up!

Michaels sits up and can't believe it, giving the ref another stern look of disapproval. He doesn't even bother to argue with the ref this time and just gets back up to his feet. Michaels adjusts his tights and then reaches down, grabbing Dante by the hair and pulls him up. For the second time, he lifts him up and Scoop Slams him down to the mat, squarely in the middle of the ring. He looks out at the crowd, as Dante is out, before walking over to the ropes and climbing through them onto the apron. He climbs up to the top turnbuckle, where the fans rise to their feet and Nova claps him on. He slowly balances himself and once settled, leaps off the top and slaps the joint of his elbow, before dropping its point directly into the black heart of Dante Cross, with the classic HBK Elbow Drop! The crowd bursts into another "HBK! HBK! HBK!" chant, a truly heavy and passionate chant at that as The Showstealer is starting to do just that! He rises back up to his feet and slaps his right leg, egging the crowd on. He wanders over to the corner he just leaped from and holds onto the ropes on his left, before lifting his right foot up and stomping it into the mat. Each thud becomes louder and quicker with each passing moment, as not a single person in the arena is talking - they are all too focused with joining in with the stomping festivities!

Cedar:
"And Michaels is starting to tune up the orchestra!"

Dennis:
"Orchestra?! You mean band, you idiot!"

Cedar:
"No, I meant what I said - it's no longer Sweet Chin Music, it's now the Shattered Teeth Symphony!"

Dennis:
"That is the dumbest crap I've ever heard...though Dante is about to feel it!"

Michaels side steps out of the corner and launches that foot in the air, indeed looking for the move he now calls Shattered Teeth Symphony on the recovering Dante Cross! But, to the crowd's disappointment, Dante has it scouted and catches the leg of Michaels. He then smiles at him, before sticking his middle finger up and twirling him round on the spot. As Michaels does a complete 360, Dante cracks him in the jaw with a hard right fist, before pushing him against the ropes, whipping him off. Michaels darts across the ring, rebounding back. Dante swings for a Clothesline. He misses. Michaels rebounds off the ropes again. Dante swings for a Back Elbow. He misses. Michaels hits the ropes once again. This time Michaels leaps into the air and goes for his favourite Flying Forearm Smash, looking to knock Dante the hell out...but instead The Son of Sin ducks out of the way and Michaels collides with the jaw line of the referee, knocking him clean out! Michaels lands on the mat, as the ref goes flying, hitting the ropes and then slamming to the mat, face first, in dramatic fashion. Michaels kneels up and can't believe he just wiped out the ref. Dante is back on his feet and surveys the whole situation, Michaels totally unaware that he is stalking him from the rear. Michaels gets back up and shoves the ref, asking him if he's OK. The man in the stripped shirt is out cold and David decides he shouldn't waste time trying to revive him.

Cedar:
"Michaels better watch out here. Dante is just waiting to pounce!"

Dennis:
"its nighty night time for the Sexy Girl!"

Nova yells at David on the outside, who takes a while to listen. When he does, it's too late. He swings around and is immediately kicked in the gut. Dante then grabs hold of Michaels arms and wraps one in front of his chest, locking in a Cobra Clutch. The fans begin to boo, as they know what this leads to. With Michaels in grasp, Dante Cross reaches down with his free arm and grabs holds between his legs, lifting him back first onto his shoulder in a Torture Rack type move. He the turns around and drops him down face first into the mat between his legs, with his finishing move, the Fate Ender! The crowd go rather silent, as Michaels is out cold. Dante begins to smile and pushes the XWA World Heavyweight Champion over onto his back, hooking the near leg as he sits back awaiting the count.

Cedar:
"Fate Ender! That's it. It's over. Here's the cover....one...two...wait...the referee is down! The referee is out cold! Rotten luck for Dante Cross here!"

Dennis:
"Oh look at that? Michaels wipes the ref out ON PURPOSE and it saves his bacon. Just damn well typical..."

Cedar:
"It was obviously an accident, he was aiming for Dante!"

Dennis:
"How do you know that? This sly bastard had everyone fooled last night with the antics of his stupid group."

Dante looks around and finally realises the ref is completely knocked out, not noticing it earlier when he ducked Michaels Flying Forearm. He lets go of his opponent's leg and thumps the mat in fury, getting back up to his feet. Michaels is toast here - if the ref wasn't knocked out, he would have just pinned the new World Heavyweight Champion! Dante wipes the sweat off his brow and places his hands on his hips, PO'd he didn't get the victory there. He looks around, wondering just what to do. He initially walks over to the fallen ref and kicks him a few times, somewhat lightly, yelling at him to get up. Needless to say Dante's 'subtle' ways don't work and the ref isn't moving. Dante shakes his head in annoyance and turns around, seeing Michaels still laid out on the mat. Suddenly, a light bulb turns on over his head and he quickly climbs out of the ring. He stomps on over to the time keepers area and grabs a random worker, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and flinging him in front of the announce table. Wires and headsets go flying from the rather thin looking man, as Dante lifts up the steel chair he was sitting on and slams it shut. He then whacks it off the announce table and turns around, smiling in his opponent's direction. Michaels has since begun to get on all fours and Dante climbs back into the ring, chair in hand. He then looms over the two time XWA World Heavyweight Champion and slowly raises the steel chair above his head. He is about to send it crashing down across Michaels' spine, when it is latches onto from behind by Nova! The crowd cheers, as David's manager refuses to let Dante use the chair upon him. Dante wonders what in the hell is going on and turns around, seeing that Nova is holding onto the chair and damn well refusing to let go. The pair play tug of war with it.

Cedar:
"Nova grabbing the steel chair. Does she have a death wish here?!"

Dennis:
"What the hell is she doing?!"

Cedar:
"OH GOD!"

Dennis:
"...oh my!"

The announce team are shocked, as Dante wins the tug of war with the chair. The velocity makes him lose his grip of the chair and it goes flying across the ring behind him. He then turns back round and actually decides to shove Nova off the apron. The force is so great, The Wildcat is sent flying backwards off the apron and hits the announce table back first! The crowd begin to boo intensely, as Dante Cross shows zero regret for his actions. Behind him, however, David Michaels managed to spot the whole thing and as he rises back up to his feet while Dante is celebrating with a giant grin, the look on his face tells the whole story - he's PO'd! Michaels picks the chair up just to his left and grips it tightly, begging Dante to turn around. The crowd get their cameras ready, wanting to capture this moment. The Showstealer raises the chair above his head and waits for Dante to turn round. As the Son of Sin finally decides to turn his attention back on the match, he spots David with the chair. He naturally jerks back a few feet as Michaels just lowers the chair, not swinging for his skull. Instead he smiles at him and then lobs the chair at him. Dante's natural human instincts kick in and he catches for the chair. As he does, Michaels side steps in and nails him with a Shattered Teeth Symphony (Sweet Chin Music)! The chair goes cracking into Dante's already hurting skull and he thuds to the floor, with the chair flying through the ropes and out of the ring. Michaels the kneels down and hooks the near leg, sitting back as he does. After a few moments, the referee begins to slowly come around and makes the count.

DING...DING...DING!!!

Watts:
"Here is your winner...The Showstealer...DAVIDDDDD MICHAELSSSSSSS!!!"

Cedar:
"Michaels just out smarted Dante Cross! That's two members of the Legion in as many nights!"

Dennis:
"He cheated! He cheated two members of the Legion in as many nights! Tell it like it damn well is, Cedar!"

The crowd erupts once again, as their hero's music begins to blast through the PS System once more tonight! Michaels shoves Dante's leg away, before instantly pulling himself under the ropes and over to the hurting Nova. Michaels kneels down and checks on her. Luckily it seems as though the fall was not as bad as it appeared and she is moving around as Michaels sits her up. JHalc makes his way from the side of the ramp and gets a pop from the fans, as he too is concerned about his manager. The trainer also comes out and checks on her, asking if she is OK and she nods saying she is. Michaels rises back up to his feet and stares at JHalc, the pair nodding their heads before turning them to the carcass left in the ring.

Cedar:
"Ohhhhh dear...they little pretty pissed off, Adam."

Dennis:
"Even I'll admit Dante crossed the line with that one...at least she is OK. Can't we just leave it at that?"

Cedar:
"I think that impossible judging by their expressions, Adam. Michaels looks pretty annoyed and he's been pretty high spirited all night."

Dennis:
"The match is over...Dante is a hot head at times. Let’s just let bygones be bygo--never mind."

Adam's plea for mercy isn't working, as Michaels and JHalc have climbed back into the ring, getting back to a vertical position. Michaels yells at JHalc to pick the "SON OF A B**CH" up. JHalc takes his stylish fedora off and looks down, smiling. He then replies "WITH PLEAURE" and drags the knocked out Dante Cross to his feet. He kicks him in the gut before placing his lifeless head in between his legs. The Jack of Hearts then pops his hips and lifts the former XWA Pure Champion up, positioning him up in a Powerbomb. Then, as he brings him down, Michaels runs across and leaps into the air grabbing the back of Dante's neck and forcing his knees into his spine. The pair then drive him down, nailing a sweet as you can get Devolver! The crowd goes wild once more, as Michaels instantly leaps back up to his feet and starts rapidly crotch chopping Dante Crotch...I mean Cross.

Cedar:
"Oh my! What a move! The Devolver to Dante Cross! And that is night done for him!"

Dennis:
"That was uncalled for..."

Cedar:
"He struck a woman and she could be hurt..."

Dennis:
"Actually, he pushed her...get it right."

Cedar:
"Seriously? You going to be THAT much of an ass?"

Dennis:
"Still wouldn't be as big as yours..."

As D-Volution's theme song begins to play, the crowd cheers and begin to chant "DAN-TE CROTCH!" over and over again. Michaels and JHalc high five one another, before they quickly bail from the ring, as Dante's running mates Hitman Alex and Drake Dysfunction come charging to the ring. Michaels quickly grabs his XWA World Heavyweight Championship, as JHalc picks Nova up. The pair then help walk her around the ring and up the entrance ramp. Hitman and Drake look on at the two members of D-Volution for various reasons - Drake knowing JHalc is coming for his title at XtremeMania and Hitman Alex wanting to rip Michaels head off for taking his World Title last night. The trio stop at the top of the ramp, continuing to hold Nova up as Michaels drapes the XWA World Title over his left shoulder and begins to crotch chop the Legion in the ring...but doesn't point to his own never regions, oh no. He motions them to Nova's and crowd love it! JHalc looks on, rather manically at Drake, pointing in his direction as he continues to hold Nova up. We certainly haven't seen the last of this brewing war, as the segment fades out into a commercial break.

6.) David Michaels vs Dante Cross Empty
PostSubject: Re: 6.) David Michaels vs Dante Cross   6.) David Michaels vs Dante Cross EmptySat Nov 02, 2013 11:41 pm

The show returns from commercial to show a cheering crowd as the camera pans over the arena, taking in the twelve thousand fans in attendance tonight who are geared and ready for the match about to take place. Following a night already filled with action with a ladder match featuring Razor Xtreme and Dwight Lights, to the battle between JHalc and Hitman Alex, the fans have up next, a match between their D-Volution and Legion partners respectively, “The Heartbreak Kid” David Michaels versus “The Son of Sin” Dante Cross. The camera switches to show the announcers who are ready to call the match of the two men already in the ring.

Cedar: Welcome back XWA Universe, you’re in for a treat now as we’ve got the NEW World Heavyweight Champion, David Michaels facing off against “The Son of Sin” Dante Cross.

Dennis: The World Champion looks to still be banged up from last night, and now he’s got to face perhaps the most sinister man in XWA today.

The camera cuts to David Michaels who is leaning over the ropes and talking to Nova on the outside. His left arm is shown to be lightly bandaged from the match he had last night. Meanwhile, Dante Cross is sitting in the corner glowering at Michaels from across the ring.

Cedar: Now as you can see, we don’t have a referee in the ring right this moment. We don’t know where he is, but the people in the back are looking to get somebody out here to start this match soon. Until then, let’s take a look back to last night’s King of Xtreme pay-per-view and show just what happened to out new World Champion’s arm.

The show cuts to a clip from last night’s pay-per-view. Michaels is coming off the ropes and manages to avoid a back elbow from Drake Dysfunction and continues on to bounce off the ropes again. Michaels attempts to take the advantage and jumps up and wrapping his legs around Drake's head, flipping round with a Headscissors. He then tries to turn into his favorite Déjà Vu DDT move, but Drake is having none of it and instead charges forwards and slams Michaels over the ropes and onto the steel. Michaels reaches out, naturally with his left arm to break his fall and instead nearly breaks his damn arm! Drake then falls down to his knees and takes a break, as Michaels screams out in pain clutching the hurting left arm.

Cedar: Now if that wasn’t bad I don’t know what is.

Dennis: I’ll tell you what’s bad, David Michaels taking the belt off of Hitman Alex. If anyone deserved to have a long reign, it’s Hitman Alex. But now his stable mate Dante Cross has the chance to exact some revenge on Michaels for taking the belt from his group, and you best believe Cross is going to do all he can do get that vengeance and more.

Cedar: You’re really big on this Legion thing aren’t you? Well I’ll have you know—

Dennis: Shut up Ted, the referee is coming.

The fans cheer as the referee runs down the ramp, cheering as if he himself was a superstar. Mainly because they know the match can finally start. Those cheers quickly turn to laughter as they see a trail of tissue stuck to his shoe. The arena is roaring with laughter as the titantron focuses in on the tissue laden foot. The referee looks down and turns red with embarrassment as he pulls off the tissue before getting into the ring.

Cedar: Well I’ll be. If that’s not a hoot, I don’t—

Dennis: Yeah, yeah, you don’t know what is. The match is starting Ted. Come on now.

DING! DING! DING!

The match is underway as the referee calls for the bell. David Michaels steps out from his corner, loosening up as he walks to the center of the ring to start the match off. Dante continues to look back at him from his corner of the ring, not moving. The fans are booing the Son of Sin, but Dante only turns to the crowd and gives a look of disinterest as to their disapproval. All the same, he reaches up and grabs the middle ropes, lifting himself up out of the corner. David Michaels beckons him forward with his good arm as the fans cheer their hometown hero for his eagerness to do battle. Dante takes his time coming to the center of the ring, but with each step his demeanor slowly changes. That reluctance, the indifference, that all seems to wash away as he steps towards the World Champion, replaced with a look of deliberately shown distaste and indignation. He meets Michaels in the center of the ring and the two men are staring daggers into the others eyes as the fans chant the name of David Michaels through the stands.

Cedar: The crowd is solidly behind the World Champion here folks. His adopted home is showing him the love tonight in his first ever meeting with Dante Cross.

Indeed neither man has ever faced the other in the ring and tonight marks their first confrontation, but with the tension in the ring right now, one would think these men were hated rivals. No words exchanged, no signals given. The two men both simply jumped forward and locked up in the middle of the ring to the cheer of the crowd. They go into a sort of rough collar-elbow-tie-up, both men pulling on the other, not wanting the next man to get the better of him. Grunts can be heard from both men in the ring. Dante being the much smaller of the two, he is able to match strength with Michaels in part due to the injured arm of his opponent. The two men release their holds and push back, both glaring at the man across from with eyes full of intensity. They lock up again and both men pull the other to and fro only to release pull away from each other in frustration. They begin to circle each other only to come forward and get into the clench again. They yank each other around the ring until Michaels is able to pull Cross towards him and starts sending knees to the gut of Cross. Each shot adding to Dante’s growing annoyance, the Son of Sin begins to return the knee strikes, sending strikes to the midsection of his opponent as well just as hard. The referee finally gets between them and pulls the two men apart. Michaels and Cross glare at each other as the referee holds each man at bay.

Dennis: That arms got to be nagging Michaels after that rough action there.

Cedar: Pride Adam. It might be hurting, but Michaels isn’t going to let it get to him this early in the match.

The referee backs away and they lock up for the fourth time now with neither man getting the better of the other. They start to release but Dante swivels around and gets behind Michaels, wrapping his arms around his waist. Michaels tries to unhook Dante’s arms from around him, but Cross doesn’t give him the opportunity, quickly moving his arms down and pulling The Heartbreak Kid’s legs from under him, sending Michaels chest first into the mat. Dante floats over, rolling across the back of Michaels and gets the ShowStealer into a Side Headlock on the mat. Dante tightens his grip on his opponents’ head and begins to pull Michaels to his feet while maintaining the Headlock, continuing to wrench on the skull as he does. Michaels sends a punch to Dante’s side and pulls his head free of Dante’s grip. In the process, he grabs Dante’s arm, twisting it upwards causing Dante to go to a knee. Thinking fast, Dante rolls forward and sideways, grabbing the left leg of Michaels and yanking it towards him and putting Michaels onto his back as a result. Dante rolls forward on his back, still holding Michaels’ leg, sits up, and goes for a Side Pin from the sitting position. ONE! Tw—Michaels kicks out before the second count!

Cedar: It’s going to take a lot more than that to put the World Champion away.

Once Michaels kicks out, Cross wastes little time going for the Headlock with Michaels still on his back but Michaels wraps his arms around Dante and brings a knee up, striking the Son of Sin in the top of his head. With Dante dazed, Michaels quickly slides from underneath him and takes Cross’s arm and maneuvers around to get behind Cross, putting Dante on his stomach as he wrenches the arm backwards. With Michaels on top of him, Dante with his free arm reaches back and wraps it around the head of Michaels and struggles to his feet. He rises to a knee and slowly but surely, he is able to get back to a standing position. With Michaels still in control of his arm, Cross sends back an Elbow Shot to the side of The Heartbreak Kid’s head that causes Michaels to loosen his grip and Dante reverses the hold, getting Michaels in a Headlock once more, but quickly transitions to the injured left arm and pulls it up into the air as he twists it and gets Michaels to a knee. Michaels yells out in pain as his injured arm is wrenched, Dante tightening his grip all the while. Similar to what Cross pulled off earlier from that same position, Michaels rolls forward on the mat, turning around upon rising and sends a stiff Chop to the chest of the Son of Sin. This sets off cheers from the crowd as Michaels has gotten free of Cross, who lets go of Michaels’ arm and holds his reddened chest as he backs away to the ropes. Michaels looks to capitalize as he runs to the opposite ropes and comes back with momentum. Dante looks up and Michaels slams into him with a Clothesline that sends Cross over the ropes and to the outside. The fans let loose a fresh round of cheers as the crowd favorite, David Michaels has gotten the best of Dante Cross. Michaels is loving it as he plays to the crowd, pumping with his free hand to get them to cheer louder as he walks to the other end of the ring across from where Dante went over. There, Michaels waits for Dante to rise. When he sees Dante’s hand grip the side of the ring he runs forward, anticipating the rest of Dante’s body so soon follow. He flies through the middle rope for a Suicide Dive but Dante was waiting for him and leaps forward, bringing his leg up to catch Michaels with a Side Kick that stops the Heartbreak Kid in his tracks. Michaels stumbles backwards into the ring and falls onto the mat. The fans are not shy about their disapproval at this change in for this change in fortune now in favor of Dante Cross. The Son of Sin climbs onto the apron amid the jeers of the fans and springs into the ring with a Slingshot Elbow, landing on the chest of Michaels and following up by covering him for the pin. Dante waits for the referee to make the count but it never comes. He looks up and the referee points to Michaels’ foot under the rope to the delight of the fans in attendance and the annoyance of Dante who pulls Michaels to his feet and away from the ropes. Shaking his head all the while, Dante whips his opponent to the ropes and upon the rebound, Cross leaps into the air and wraps his legs around Michaels for a Hurricanrana, turning to whip Michaels about, but Michaels has gotten his wits about him and holds onto Dante, pulling him up and slamming him into the mat with a Powerbomb Backbreaker!

Cedar: Wow, what a reversal by the World Champion! Dennis did you see that?

Dennis: Of course I saw it. And how many times are you going to mention him being World Champion?

Dante’s back arches up in pain as he falls off of the knee of Michaels and onto his stomach. Michaels rolls Dante over onto his back and hooks the leg for the pin attempt. ONE! TWO!—Dante kicks out!

Michaels rises up from a knee and pulls Dante to his feet as well. Taking Dante by the arm, Michaels whips him to the ropes and upon the Son of Sin’s return, wraps him up and takes him over with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Cross holds his back and rolls out of the ring after the move, and Michaels is quick to follow. Dante arches his back, stretches it this time, while Michaels comes up from behind him. The Heartbreak Kid reaches out and grabs Dante by his hair, yanking him back, but Dante reaches back and swings a fist at Michaels but it doesn’t connect. Michaels takes the opportunity to send a pair of Elbow Strikes into the center of Dante’s back as the referee reaches the count of “Four”. Dante stumbles forward as Michaels lets go, but the ShowStealer is on him again. Moving at Dante from the side and getting his head under the arm of Cross as he places his own hands between Dante’s legs. He lifts the Son of Sin into the air and takes a step back before heaving Dante up and over with such force following the Teardrop Suplex that Dante Cross crashes into the side of the announce table, knocking it out of place a few inches. The referee is at the count of “Eight” now, but Michaels rolls into the ring only to roll out again, making the referee restart the count. Dante’s side is visibly reddened from that bump onto the announce table as he crawls on his hands and knees about to get to his feet. Michaels grabs Dante by the head, but Dante pushes away. This time Michaels runs forward and as Dante rises to a knee, he looks up and receives a Big Boot square in the face that sends him backwards and sliding along the floor from the force of the move. Michaels grabs Dante and unceremoniously tosses him onto the ring apron and pushes him under the ropes and back into the ring before following in himself. Dante is looking to get to his feet again, but Michaels takes Cross by the arm and whips him to the ropes. Dante comes off the ropes and Michaels leaps into the air for one of the best Dropkicks in the business, but Dante avoids it with a Baseball Slide on the mat. Michaels turns around as Dante has continued to the other ropes and is coming off. Dante rebounds and Michaels scoops him up onto his shoulders and plants him down with a Death Valley Driver that shook the ring! David Michaels floats over and goes for the pin. ONE! TWO! Th—Dante gets a shoulder up at the last second!

Cedar: By gawd I thought David Michaels had him there! I thought he did!

For a while now, Michaels has been in control of this match. He picks Dante up once more, bringing him to his feet and goes to whip him to the ropes, but Dante turns him about and instead, whips Michaels into the corner. The Heartbreak Kid slams back first into the turnbuckles and Dante charges forward, leaping into the air and for all his sinister looks, he pulls off a thing of beauty when he hits the Hesitation Dropkick on Michaels. The World Champion’s head snaps back from the move and he stumbles forward, but Dante pushes him back into the corner. He runs to the center of the ring and turns on his heels, bending forward to make a charge. With speed, he runs forward and looks to go for a Spear on Michaels in the corner. He charges forward, but Michaels avoids the Spear from Dante, moving out of the way and guiding him into the corner turnbuckle shoulder first. An accompanying “ooohh” goes out from the crowd as Dante hits the steel of the ringpost. Michaels gives the Son of Sin little time to lick his wounds as he feeds Dante’s upper body through the ropes and pulls him back inwards by his arms, stretching Dante as the top rope presses into his back and the middle rope stops him from being pulled back in. Michaels continues the stretch until the referee reaches the count of four and Michaels lets go, to Dante’s relief. Hoping to continue working on Dante, Michaels grabs Cross by his tights and pulls him back into the ring, but Dante Dante pulls away from Michaels’ grip, spinning around and hitting him with a Forearm Shot that undoes Michaels’ ponytail. The Heartbreak Kid takes a step back, but recovers quickly and returns with a Forearm of his own that stumbles Dante but he too comes back with another shot. The two exchange Forearm Strikes with such velocity that their arms become a blur until Michaels knocks Dante’s hand away and takes him by the back of the head, using the right arm to send a series of Forearms to the skull of Dante with liberty. With each shot, Dante seems to lose more footing until the Son of Sin’s legs give way from the strikes, but Michaels continues to rain down the Forearms as Dante slumps backwards onto the mat. Anger seems t have welled in Michaels as he fully mounts Dante and continues the strikes until the referee pulls him away and reveals the blood now flowing from Dante’s skull from the series of attacks.

Dennis: David Michaels showed a sort of mean streak there with those shots. He didn’t hold back there.

Cedar: What do you expect Adam? As this match wears on our World Champion knows he should have put Dante Cross away by now and it’s getting to him.

The Heartbreak Kid turns away from Dante and lifts his right arm now covered in Dante’s blood, showing it off to the crowd who cheer in appreciation at the beatdown they are seeing of Dante Cross by their World Champion.

Michaels turns around and sees Dante slowly rising to his feet. He brings up his arm and looks to send a measured strike to the Son of Sin’s face. As Dante fully rises and looks up, Michaels goes to punch Cross, but Dante moves his head out of the way and hooks arms with Michaels at the elbow, whipping him around and sending a kick to his gut, but Michaels is able to catch it. Dante uses his free leg to go for an Enzuigiri but Michaels ducks the move, dropping Dante’s leg in the process allowing Cross to spin on a heel and come back with another kick, catching Michaels with the Return to Sin Kick. The ShowStealer stumbles sideways and falls onto his left arm on his descent to the mat. Dante kicks Michaels, pushing him onto his back. Following a quick grimace of disgust, he wipes the blood off of his head and flicks it onto Michaels before he hops over him and runs to the ropes. He leaps onto the middle rope, then the top, and springboards off for in corkscrew form as Cross goes for the Deadliest Moonsault Evermore. Michaels has enough wits about him to roll out of the way towards the corner, but Dante sees this from the air and lands on his feet. Michaels pulls himself up using the corner turnbuckle and sees Dante running towards him. He brings his feet up and into the face of his charging opponent, stumbling him backwards. Michaels ascends the turnbuckle and when Cross turns around, Michaels comes off the top with a Flying Forearm Smash. The roar of the fans is high as from the mat, he uses his signature Kip-Up maneuver to get back on his feet to the delight of the fans.

Cedar: Once again, David Michaels has turned the match in his favor!

Dennis: Yeah, yeah, keep talking Ted. Keep talking.

Dante crawls under the ropes and onto the apron, but Michaels sees this and follows him onto the apron as Dante has his back to him taking a breather. Michaels reaches out and faster than the blink of an eye, Dante’s leg comes out for a Superkick on the apron. Apparently not fast enough as Michaels catches it and knocks it away. Dante grabs the ropes and sends an Enzuigiri to the side of the Heartbreak Kid’s skull as he floats into the ring, but Michaels ducks, only for Dante to catch him with a the Back Heel of his other leg as he floats over the ropes and into the ring for an innovative and acrobatic move. Michaels slumps against the ropes and Cross grabs him and pulls him back into the ring. To the dismay of the fans, he takes the left arm of Michaels and twists the injured arm. He then brings his leg up and begins to send kicks up to the innermost part of Michaels’ left arm just away from the armpit. After about five kicks to the arm, Dante ends, it but now carries a look of sinister delight as a smirk comes across his face. He lets go of Michaels’ arm only to grab his head and with a quick glance back, slink through the middle rope and send Michaels neck first into the second rope. He doesn’t let go, instead he hangs over the side and begins to choke David Michaels while the referee is calling for Dante to let go. The referee begins to make the five count, but Dante only tightens his grasp as Michaels flails, his feet kicking against the mat and his hands beating upon those of Dante to relinquish the hold. The referee is just starting to say “five” when Dante finally lets go, leaving the breathless Michaels hanging over the middle rope, his mouth agape as he catches his breath. Dante turns around, an open mouth grin on his face as he takes a few steps towards the crowd who have chosen to simply perform a continuous Boo. Dante turns back around as Michaels seems to be rising from the ropes. Cross runs forward and grabs the left arm of Michaels and pulls it through the ropes. He wraps his legs around the arm, trying to go for an innovative form of the Cross Armbreaker, but Michaels is on it, clasping his own hands together to keep Cross from trapping his left arm over the side of the ropes. Dante is hanging upside over the side of the ring with Michaels holding the bulk of his weight as he tries to fight against the hold. The referee looks on his shock as he has never seen a move done such as this. Cross lifts himself up partially and with his free hand, he tries to pry loose the locked hands of Michaels. He begins punching his locked fists, but Michaels isn’t loosening. He wraps his legs tighter around the arm of Michaels to keep himself from falling to the floor below and takes to scratching at the hands of Michaels but to no avail. He then spits in the face of the World Champion, hocking a wet one square in his open mouth. Michaels coughs and chokes on the loogie. Dante takes advantage of the loosened grip and with a cry of success, grabs the left arm and snaps back over the side of the ring and begins pull back the arm. Amid the spitting of Michaels trying to cough out the wet loogie that had been given to him, the Heartbreak Kid is trying to bring his legs up so that the shifting of weight can feed him through the middle rope and send him to the outside with Cross, but Dante knows this and with the legs wrapped around Michaels’ arm, he pressures down on Michaels' left chest to keep him from gaining the force needed to shift the necessary weight. In what felt like the longest five count in David Michaels’ career, the referee is just about to say “Five” for Cross to release the hold. Cross, who looked to be trying to tear off the arm of the World Champion as he tightens the hold, finally releases the hold just before the five count.

Cedar: To think, all of that was done just to weaken the World Champion.

Dennis: And I’m sure it effing did Ted. Just look at the guy.

Michaels slumps to the mat in a sitting position, holding his left arm as he leans against the ropes. Dante climbs onto the apron from the corner and runs along the side. He holds the ropes and goes for a sort of Swing Dropkick to the back of Michaels, but the Heartbreak Kid sees this out of the corner of his eye and ducks to the mat, rolling over onto his back as Dante misses the kick through the middle rope. Michaels grabs Dante’s legs and pulls him through the ropes and back into the ring. Still holding Cross’s legs, he gets to his feet and walks backwards into the center of the ring and in a show of his power, he holds Cross by the legs and begins to spin him around, and around, and around, and around, and around. After what could have very well been a dozen rotations, David Michaels releases his grasp and Dante goes flying into the corner turnbuckle, hitting the bottom buckle hard with the back of his skull. Cross holds his head as he uses the ropes to get to his feet. Michaels runs towards him and jumps forward with a Corner Avalanche, smashing Dante into the corner. Dante looks to stumble forward and Michaels reaches out to grab him, but the Son of Sin maneuvers under the arms of Michaels and wraps his arms around his opponent’s neck from behind. He pulls Michaels around and backs into the corner, ascending it backwards and begins to choke Michaels from the top rope. Michaels kicks his legs to no avail, but is able to hook his toe under the ropes and pulls, using that added hook to break free of Dante’s grip and plant his feet on the mat. Dante moves to grab him again but Michaels spins around and strikes with a Spinning Backfist to the side of the Salvationist’s skull. Cross slumps forward, his head on the Heartbreak kid as he is dazed from the shot. Michaels places Dante’s head on his shoulder and runs forward with a Neckbreaker out of the corner, but the Showstealer went out too far, allowing Dante to scramble and he gets his feet on the mat and grabs Michaels from behind. He pops his hips and sends Michaels up and over with a Half Nelson Suplex that plants Michaels on his head before falling into the corner upside down with his legs in the air. Dante turns around and hurriedly pulls Michaels out of the corner and into the center of the ring. He beckons the referee over and dives down for the pin. ONE! TWO! TH—Michaels kicks out!

To the delight of the fans and the dismay of Dante Cross, Michaels kicks out of the pin and is still in this match. Dante reaches down to pick up Michaels, but he rolls out of Dante’s grasp and hurries to his feet. The Son of Sin reaches out and grabs Michaels to whip him to the ropes, but the ShowStealer reverses and Michaels whips Cross to the ropes and upon his return, heaves Dante into the air only to bring him down again with a Powerbomb. Michaels picks him up and places Dante’s head between his legs looks to be going for swift Powerbomb. He hooks his arms around Dante’s waist and heaves him up into the air. Cross reverses midair and traps Michaels’ arm and sends him to the mat having locked in the Crossface submission. The crowd lets out a groan as Dante traps the injured arm of Michaels and wraps his arms around the World Champion’s face for the submission. Michaels struggles on the mat and seems to be attempting to pull his way to the ropes! He’s too far away though. He tries to power up, lifting from the move but Dante is having none of that. The referee is asking Michaels if he wants to tap, and Michaels shakes his head, denying Dante the submission victory. The crowd is on their feet as Michaels looks to lift himself up once more, but instead of attempting to rise fully, Michaels rolls sideways and captures Dante in a pinning attempt! The referee goes to the mat. ONE! TWO!—Dante kicks out and rolls over, a look of surprise on his face as he looks this way and that at the fact that he nearly lost tonight in such a fashion.

David Michaels on the other hand, has little time for looks of surprise as he gets to his feet and shakes out his injured arm, loosening it up. Dante begins to rise as well, but not before Michaels takes hold of him and whips Cross to the corner and follows him. Instead of slamming into it, Dante runs up the corner turnbuckle, spinning in the air as he leaps backwards and catches the incoming Michaels with a Cutter. Dante rolls onto his front and takes a moment to admire his work before slowly getting to his feet, looking around the arena all the while, an expression of superiority on his face as he looks to have put the unmoving Michaels away here. The boos and jeers from the crowd is now deafening as Dante takes the arms of David Michaels and pulls him away from the ropes. He moves to go for the pin but thinks better of it. He moves Michaels into position and goes over to the ropes. He ascends the turnbuckle now, and climbs to the top rope, facing away from the ring.

Cedar: Oh I know where this is going. He’s looking to put Michaels away with the Crucifixion!

Indeed he is, as he stretches his arms out beside him in the symbol of a cross on the top rope he prepares to dive backwards, but Nova, who has been otherwise a nonfactor in this match, rushes forward and from the outside, begins to berate Dante Cross with obscene gestures and words, distracting the Son of Sin. All the while, David Michaels has come to and runs up the ropes and before Dante can do a thing, Michaels takes him off the top rope with a pop of the hip, pulling off a German Suplex from the top rope to the aw of the crowd. Dante takes a nasty landing, hitting the mat hard neck first before popping up from the force of the move, only to fall once more to the mat on his back. With Nova cheering him on, Michaels looks to end it here. He turns around to see Dante Cross unmoving on the mat and quickly ascends the top rope. With the crowd on his side, he looks to them as they are all cheering his name. Everyone wants this match to be over. Everyone wants David Michaels to walk away the victor. The Heartbreak Kid slaps his right arm and signals that he’s going for the picture perfect Diving Elbow off the top. He bends his legs and prepares to dive, but the sounds from the crowd divert his attention and he looks out to see Kris Cross running out from the back.

Cedar: Aw, what he is doing out here dammit!

Dennis: That’s his brother in that ring Ted, why do you think?

Kris is coming to the ring, but the referee looks to head him off. Michaels, looking over, distracted by Kris, while Dante gets to his feet and runs up the ropes, pulling off a Hurricanrana that sends a surprised Michaels well across the ring. He’s not the only one surprised as a number of yelps come up from the crowd who thought Michaels had this match done. Michaels holds his back as he turns over and rises onto a knee. Dante, having to take a moment as he landed out of that move tweaking his neck, now runs over to Michaels before he can fully rise and bends down to pick the Heartbreak Kid up by his hair, but Michaels, fully aware, rolls forward, getting behind Dante, who hurriedly spins around and receives the Shattered Teeth Symphony right on the chin. The Salvationist falls backwards into the corner, looking to be getting some shut eye after that shot. Pushing past the referee and running from the other side of the ring, as Michaels looks to end this, Kris comes over and pulls Dante through the ropes and to the outside, placing his brother’s arm around his shoulders as he helps steady the wobbly legged Son of Sin. Kris begins helping Dante to the back as the referee calls for Dante to get back in the ring. The fans are giving a mixed reaction to this as many wanted Michaels to end it on his terms, but others still are happy that Michaels looks to be getting the victory and Dante is slumping away with his tail between his legs. The referee calls for Dante one last time before he begins the count. From the crowd, Hitman Alex hops the railing and slides into the ring behind Michaels. Nova yells.

Nova: David!

Michaels turns around only to receive an HKO for his trouble.

Dennis: Holy shit! He came out of nowhere!

Cedar: Hitman Alex! The former World Heavyweight Champion! The man who lost his title to David Michaels last night may have just cost the new champ this match! Oh my gawd!

Alex rolls out under the ropes and hides along the side of the ring just out of view as the referee turns around to see what happened while the fans are booing louder than ever. Their hopes of victory for Michaels have all but slipped following that attack from the former World Heavyweight Champion. Kris and Dante turn around to see what the crowd is Booing about and find David Michaels down and out in the middle of the ring. A look of glee comes across Dante’s face as he throws away his brother’s arm and runs full speed back into the ring.

Dennis: He’s healed Ted! It’s a damn Christmas miracle!

Cedar: Aw, this is a lot of shit but a miracle ain’t one of them.

Dante slides into the ring with such vigor that he skids nearly the full way towards Michaels and from his knees, he flips the World Champion over, but Nova scrambles into the ring and covers Michaels with her own body stopping Dante from getting the pin. The referee doesn’t know what to do as he and Dante glance at each other and a sneer comes across the Son of Sin’s face. He reaches down to grab her, but Nova is instead yanked through the ropes by her legs by Hitman Alex. Once on the floor at ringside, Nova turns and slaps Alex, who gives her an evil snarl and lunges forward, wrapping his fingers around her neck and choking her violently. Dante gives an approving smirk, but the referee hurries to the outside to break up this ringside violence.

Cedar: Oh there’s no need for that! There’s no need for that! Somebody! Somebody stop him!

The crowd begins to cheer and Dante turns around to see what has turned the disapproving crowds opinion of the situation and sure enough, running down the ramp, chair in hand is D-Volution member, JHalc. Dante hurries to his feet frantically and calls out to Kris, willing him to turn around.

Dante: Kris! Turn arou—

JHalc is already on him. The chair shot resonates through the arena and is followed by roaring cheers as JHalc smashes the chair into the side of Kris’ skull, laying him out on the entrance ramp. Dante yells at Hitman Alex to stop get JHalc, who is just about to the ring.

Dante: Get away from her and go stop that son of a bitch now!

Alex rushes over, quickly closing the distance between him and the Main Event. He lunges forward and JHalc swings the chair. Hitman Alex ducks and comes around only to still be struck with the chair as JHalc pivots and catches him under the chin on the upswing. JHalc slides into the ring with the chair and Dante backs away—into a Schoolboy Rollup by David Michaels! ONE! TWO!—Dante grabs The ShowStealer’s arm and traps him for a Gogoplata. He has the injured arm of Michaels! Michaels flails but to no avail. He tries to pull out—NO! He can do nothing but tap!

DING! DING! DING!

Watts: Here’s your winner, “The Son of Sin”…DAAAANNNTEEE…CRRROOSSSSS!

Cedar: I can’t believe it Adam! I can’t damn well believe it!

Dennis: Believe it Ted! Damn well believe it! Dante Cross has defeated the World Heavyweight Champion!

JHalc seems to not be able to believe it either as he drops the chair in mere shock at what has just happened here. This shock doesn’t last long  as the back of JHalc’s skull meets cold steel, compliments of the Intercontinental Champion, Drake Dysfunction.

Dennis: And the good times keep on rolling Ted! They just keep on rollin’.

Drake has lain out his Xtremania opponent and D-Volution counterpart in the middle of the ring. Drake helps Dante to his feet and raises his hand in victory. Hitman Alex and Kris Cross have come to and both roll into the ring to join the other members of Legion. The fans have had enough. They resort to throwing trash into the ring to show what they think of the men in there now. The members of Legion all raise their arms in victory as they stand in the ring. Not satisfied with this though, Dante looks down and with an arrogant smirk on his face, spits on the World Champion and places his foot on his defeated opponent’s chest as the Legion members continue to raise his hands amid a shower of trash.
