XWA Fed Rules Empty
PostSubject: XWA Fed Rules   XWA Fed Rules EmptyTue Oct 22, 2013 11:07 am

1. First and foremost, the goal here in Xtreme Wrestling Association is to have fun. If you're not having fun, please let us know, and we'll try to fix that for you to the best and fairest of our abilities.

2. Vendetta is our weekly television show. The cards are typically released Sunday nights, but by the latest will be released midday on Monday. The regular Vendetta cards are due the following Saturday.  You're encouraged to work with each other to create and further storylines through promos on the show, which can be booked in advance of the show being released. The GM team will do our best to create storylines, but we can't do much without your input so let us know what you want to do and where you want to go in the fed.

3. Pay Per View shows are also released on Monday but are given two weeks for writing and are due the second Friday after the release date. The due date is pushed up from the regular Saturday due date in order to give the GMs time to grade what are typically bigger and more important match ups than those on the regular cards. They function more or less like real life PPVs, where smaller storylines are "blown off" or finished, and larger storylines see significant advancement.

4. XWA operates within a universe parallel to the one we exist in out of character (OOC), but without real wrestlers (WWE, TNA, etc.). References to these entities should be extremely limited if not removed entirely. This means applications for use of real superstars will not be accepted under any circumstance. XWA is exclusively a CAW e-fed.

5. This should go without saying, but plagiarism is strictly forbidden. Anyone caught copying the work of another writer in any form is subject to the disciplinary system outlined below. Exceptional occurrences of this rule being broken are grounds for immediate termination at the discretion of the staff. It should be noted that the plagiarism rule also goes for recycling your own work. If you are found to be copying old material, it will be treated the same as plagiarism. The point of the e-fed is to create new material, not repost something done in the past.

6. Any disputes between member writers should be handled between the members themselves. If a solution cannot be reached, please inform a staff member so that we can act as a mediator between the two parties. We will attempt to reach a fair decision that benefits both members. Any disputes from the e-fed that spill over into the forum may have repercussions for those involved.

7. Another rule that should go without saying; please inform us if you will be unavailable for any period of time that encompasses one of our shows. You can do this by posting a thread in the XWA Universe section, or feel free to message any member of the GM team. As long as we are notified, there will be no disciplinary action taken.

8. Once again, HAVE FUN. I really can't emphasize this enough. Some people take e-wrestling extremely seriously, and that's a quick way to not only make enemies, but burn yourself out on the game.

9. XWA Vendetta has the intent of being "edgy" entertainment, however still within the bounds of "good taste." While competitors may use whatever language they prefer, segments on shows are expected to be either restrained or self-censored. This mainly works to keep storylines realistic and to keep any use of excessive and unnecessary profanity out of the fed, as they are two things that have the ability to ruin the entertainment value of the show.

Grading System
-Grading takes place on Sunday.
-Any member of the GM team could end up being the one to grade your match.
-Grading is based on the quality of your match. Things like selling, match flow, and entertainment value (which includes but is not limited to exciting spots within the match). Although please remember, f we can't understand what you are trying to say, it affects all of the categories above.
-If you have any questions about grading, feel free to contact anyone on the GM team via PM or in their GM office section.

Discipline System
-First Offense: Instant Loss.
-Second Offense: Instant Loss. You will not be booked for a third show.
-Third Offense: You will be removed from the fed. If no reason is given for the no show, then applications for re-entry will not be accepted for a period of one month.

Use of Other Characters
-In promos on the show, the use of a character other than your own requires the consent of the handler. Don't just use people without their permission as it is disrespectful to that individual.
-For matches, make sure to take notice of a person's profile in the roster section. All profiles will list a set of regular moves as well as signatures and finishers. Each member also specifies a style that their character has in the ring, or even a gimmick their character has. Please use this in your matches. Matches where your opponent is not used correctly will be counted down during the grading. Small inconsistencies will, of course, be overlooked, and noted in the grading. Large problems, for instance completely disregarding a person's character when writing, could result in an automatic loss.
