The two men for tonight’s match stare off at each other from across the ring. Both were losers in the tournament semi-finals but were given a second chance at glory, this time in the form of the recently-brought-back Hardcore Championship. Once the bell rings, the two men charge at one another. For Shade, more than the championship is on the line. He needs to find out who killed his daughter, and the two personas of Leon and Samael are holding that information from him unless he wins tonight. He goes on the offensive by diving at E.G. Deal’s knee, considering E.G. is the taller man in this match. E.G. quickly falls to the mat as Shade begins stomping all over E.G.’s countenance. The mammoth-like wrestler blocks his face from the attack and then grabs Shade’s boot, yanking it to bring him down as well. He turns over and starts slamming his fist onto Shade’s face. It seems as if this match is more of a brawl than an actual wrestling match. “The Ultimate Synner” struggles to get free, but the huge wrestler is too much for him to move. E.G. decides he’s had enough of this tactic though, so he stands up, grabbing Shade’s hair at the same time and Irish whips him across the ring. As Shade rebounds back, E.G. acts like a mad bull and delivers his finishing “Red, White & Black” spear! Shade slams against the mat with brute force and E.G. pins him. ONE… TWO… T – KICKOUT! Unsurprisingly, Shade manages to kick out from the maneuver.

Ted Cedar: “What impressive display there from both men.”

Adam Dennis: “Uh… no. It’s no surprise that Shade kicked out, even if it was E.G.’s finisher.”

Ted Cedar: “I don’t think most people would be able to kick out from a spear from that man.”

Adam Dennis: “HOW AM I DOING PROPER COMMENTARY AND YOU AREN’T? SHADE WAS BARELY HARMED. HE’S ALSO A PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER. OF COURSE HE’S GOING TO KICK OUT, DUMBASS. IT WAS JUST ONE MOVE.”

But winning wasn’t necessarily what E.G. was going for just yet. Instead, he wants to play mind games with the psycho. Grasping his hair once again, E.G. lifts Shade up and does another Irish whip to the opposite set of ropes. As Shade rebounds, E.G. charges for what appears to be another spear, except this time Shade springs to life and leaps over the bulldozer of a wrestler. Due to the agile jump, it appears as if Leon has now taken over. On E.G.’s rebound, Shade turns around and jumps up, kicking forward with both feet in a pedaling motion, extending one leg fully, executing a vicious bicycle kick to E.G.’s skull! Down the human wrecking ball falls, slamming against the mat powerfully. Shade, or rather Leon, decides this match has been boring thus far though and exits the ring while his opponent lays on the canvas. He digs around underneath the ring and pulls out the common, yet obviously effective, steel chair. He makes his way back into the ring as E.G. stirs to life and is on his knees. E.G. springs to life and Shade runs behind him, turning around quickly. “The Golden Eagle” faces Shade as the maniac throws the steel chair at his foe. E.G. catches it, but Shade predicted as much and jumps high into the air, planting both of his feet onto the steel chair in the form of a dropkick, causing the steel chair to slam against E.G.’s head! Both men hit the mat at the same time, except Shade goes for the cover. ONE… TW – KICKOUT! Expectedly, E.G. kicks out.

Ted Cedar: “Still impressive action from b–”

Adam Dennis: “YOU SHUT THE HELL UP. DON’T SAY THAT GENERIC CRAP. ASK THE REAL QUESTIONS OF WHY THE HELL HAVEN’T THEY IMPLEMENTED THE FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE ASPECT AND WHY THE HELL AM I SCREAMING?”

Ted Cedar: “The match has only been going on for about four minutes… and I’m guessing someone left Caps Lock on.”

Adam Dennis: “…What?”

Almost as wanting to please Adam Dennis in having the match continue elsewhere, Shade exits the squared circle again, this time dragging E.G. out with him. The tall wrestler flops to the ground with a semi-loud thud. Shade rummages through the arsenal of weapons underneath the ring as E.G. merely sits up. Shade is greeted with a powerful right hook once he pops his head out from the apron. He drops a black bag which opens up, revealing some thumbtacks. A giant smirk appears across E.G.’s lips as he takes hold of the bag and spreads the thumbtacks across the floor. E.G. lifts Shade up into the air and onto his shoulders, spinning around twice and seemingly going for his secondary finisher known as “Egyptian Pride” but Shade starts punching E.G.’s forehead repeatedly before raising his arm high into the air, revealing a set of brass knuckles. E.G. begins to bleed, barely able to hold onto Shade. This allows Shade to counter and grip E.G’s head, falling down and bringing E.G. with him, executing a brutal DDT with E.G.’s face coming directly into contact with the thumbtacks! Some thumbtacks stick to Shade, but that doesn’t stop him from rolling E.G. over and pinning him. The referee slides out from the safety of the square circle and starts slapping the floor. ONE… TWO… THREE!

DING DING DING!

Laura Watts: “Your winner of this match and NEW Hardcore Champion… SHADE!”

Adam Dennis: “This was a short match. Kind of disappointed.”

Ted Cedar: “Yeah but it was still brutal. E.G. could have a damn thumbtack in his eye.”

Shade is given his newly won championship, but he simply storms the back. He doesn’t care too much that he won it, for he just wants to know who killed his daughter.
