Louie Babcock, a pre-med student and owner of WrestlingEnigma.com has a piece up that takes a look at WWE Superstar John Cena's injuries, and whether he could conceivably be healed up in time for his World Heavyweight Championship match against Alberto del Rio at Hell in a Cell. Here are a few excerpts from his article:

"Based on how the elbow of John Cena looked, it would appear that the triceps tore from the proximal humerus ...The surgeon uses a special type of suture that attaches muscle to bone. These sutures need anywhere between 6-10 weeks to fully adhere and make the surgeon comfortable that the muscle is anchored down and set."

"With the muscle shorter, it would need to be stretched out. This happens in rehab. Depending on many factors this process can take 4-12 weeks ... At most, Cena should have been gone for at least 24 weeks."

While Babcock is doubtful that a normal tricep repair was done to Cena, if the news of his return is truthful and not a story created by WWE and Vickie Guerrero, he also speaks on the advancement of medical research and science, and possible theories for what Dr. James Andrews could have done to get Cena back in action quicker.
