Discord 2019 Power Rankings: WEEK ONE Empty
PostSubject: Discord 2019 Power Rankings: WEEK ONE   Discord 2019 Power Rankings: WEEK ONE EmptyWed Sep 11, 2019 1:37 am

1st: 6969 Rock Fucks(Snoopz): 1-0
Last Week: 5th(+4)
Result: W vs. Rainfakers (196.80-152.04)
Total Points: 196.80(1st)
Current Streak: W1

-The 6969 Rock Fucks came out with a bang in week 1 with an outstanding all-around performance, overshadowing a strong effort from Rainfakers by 44.76 points. Four of their players posted a total of 25 points or above and outside of TE Hunter Henry(8) and kicker Jason Myers(3), everybody else managed to score in double digits. Leading the way were his couple of running backs in Dalvin Cook(25) and Derrick Henry(28.4), as well as outstanding showings from DeAndre Hopkins(27.1) and Patrick Mahomes(27.32). Off to the hottest start of any team, they’re going to attempt to keep it rolling against a team that underwhelmed in the season opener.
Next Week: vs. The Arm (-3.0)

2nd: Egypt Eagles (Abdel): 1-0
Last Week: 4th(+2)
Result: W vs. Los Cool Arrows (190.38-127.58)
Total Points: 190.38(2nd)
Current Streak: W1

-The Egypt Eagles impressed tremendously with a dominants 62.8 point victory over Los Cool Arrows. His QB duo dominated between Lamar Jackson(33.56) and DeShaun Watson(30.72), and Austin Ekeler drooped a cool 36.4-piece in his own right. This team absolutely could have broken the 200 barrier if not for an early exit from Tyreek Hill(3.1), and an underwhelming performance from generally reliable TE Zach Ertz(7.9). The Charger’s defense(2) certainly didn’t help either. Granted some player’s performances shouldn’t be relied on each week(Lamar Jackson won’t play the Dolphins again and Ekeler won’t be scoring 48 touchdowns this season), there will also be players stepping up that didn’t look great. This team appears to be a legitimate contender right off the bat, and could dominate again in week 2 against the team with by far the leases inspiring performance of the opening weekend.
Next Week: vs. Marlin Olsen Twins (-8.0)

3rd: Squires (Caleb): 1-0
Last Week: 1st(-2)
Result: W vs. Marlin Olsen Twins (185.80-96.00)
Total Points: 185.80(3rd)
Current Streak: W1

-They couldn’t live up to their preseason top ranking, but Squires still throttled the Marlin Olsen Twins with an 89.80 point victory, the largest margin in week 1. Sony Michel(1.4) actively tried sabotaging this team and had no desire to win this match-up, but the rest of team were all team players, with everybody outside of Chicago’s defense(9) posting a double digit outing. Outside of Michel, the other three starting running backs absolutely showed up. Christian McCaffrey(37.9), Marlon Mack(25.4), and Le’Veon Bell(20.2) were all hungry and demanded to be fed. The quarterbacks were nothing more than average, but the rest of the team did what it needed to do to make a statement. They will host the only battle of opening season winners in week 2.
Next Week: vs. Ball Fondlers (-18.5)

4th: Ball Fondlers (JHalc): 1-0
Last Week: 3rd(-1)
Result: W vs. The Arm (130.28-127.42)
Total Points: 130.28(5th)
Current Streak: W1

-In the closest match-up of the week, Ball Fondlers managed to eke one out over the Arm by less than three points. It was anyone’s for the taking, but a heroic 169-yard performance from Alvin Kamara(20.4) was enough to give them the late victory. Outside of Tom Brady(25.64), Michael Thomas(17.3), and Harrison Butker(17), the majority of the team went incognito with five other starters failing to reach double digit scoring effort, combining for only slightly more than half of Sammy Watkins(42.3) accumulated ... from the bench. It would be a safe bet to count on improvement from Ball Fondlers who will be on the road against a formidable opponent
Next Week: @ Squires (+18.5)

5th: Rainfakers (TJ): 0-1
Last Week: 8th(+3)
Result: L vs. 6969 Rock Fucks (152.04-196.80)
Total Points: 152.04 (4th)
Current Streak: L1

-Rainfakers had a good week, attempting to disprove the last place preseason ranking, but unfortunately ran into the juggernaut performance by the 6969 Rock Fucks. They were willed to compete by four players scoring over 20 points, including rookie Josh Jacobs(23.8), Chargers connections Phillip Rivers(23.92) and Keenan Allen(22.3), and TE Evan Engram(23.1) fighting tooth and nail for them. Unfortunately, Cleveland’s defense didn’t want to get any points, Jared Cook(4.7) flopped, and Joe Mixon(2.7) played very poorly before exiting the game with an injury. Everybody else played fine, and would have beaten more than half the teams this week, but that’s the way the draw goes. They are doing battle with another team seeking their first victory in week 2.
Next Week: vs. Los Cool Arrows (-6.0)

6th: Los Cool Arrows (Mexi): 0-1
Last Week: 7th(+1)
Result: L vs. Egypt Eagles (127.58-190.38)
Total Points: 127.58(6th)
Current Streak: L1

-A very inconsistent output from Los Cool Arrows led to a 62.8 point blowout that was never really all that close. Jacksonville’s defense came out ready to set a tone early, going straight to the scoreboard and striking 4 points off of it. They were not the only culprits. Usually reliable wide receivers Davante Adams(5.6) and Mike Evans(3.8) played very uninspired football, making it hard to overcome a fantastic outing from The Egypt Eagles. Cardinals Kyler Murray(21.62) and David Johnson(22.7), along with Chris Carson(21.1), played great games, but the rest of the team couldn’t get their act together. If Melvin Gordon would step into this line-up soon, it would really help Los Cool Arrows. They’ll have a chance this upcoming week against another team seeking their first victory.
Next Week: @ Rainfakers (+6.0)

7th: The Arm (Ian): 0-1
Last Week: 2nd(-5)
Result: L vs. Ball Fondlers (127.42-130.28)
Total Points: 127.42(7th)
Current Streak: L1

-The Arm failed to validate their preseason ranking of 2nd this week as a lot of their players fell flat in a game that easily could have been theirs for the taking. Outside of Carson Wentz(25.02) and Mark Ingram(22.7), the remainder of the team did not play like they wanted this win. Ezekiel Elliott(12.8), Todd Gurley(10.6), Baker Mayfield(9.4), and Stefon Diggs(4.7) are all capable of so much better than they played in week 1, and that ultimately cost The Arm in the end. Luckily, this might be the floor for this team. Expect them to bounce back and give a good challenge to the top scorers of week 1 in their upcoming match-up.
Next Week: @ 6969 Rock Fucks (-3.0)

8th: Marlin Olsen Twins (Saints): 0-1
Last Week: 6th(-2)
Result: L vs. Squires (96.0-185.80)
Total Points: 96.0(8th)
Current Streak: L1

-Oh my. Outside of being the Miami Dolphins, it really doesn’t get worse than this. The Marlin Olsen Twins nearly got doubled up in points as they were taken to the woodshed in their ugly week 1 loss to Squires. The Minnesota defense chipped in 16, but nobody else on the team could muster a measly TWELVE POINTS. Six players failed to reach the ten-point threshold including both quarterbacks in Cam Newton(5.36) and Ben Roethlisberger(9.74). There is nothing else to say, except the Marlin Olsen Twins really shat the bed in a huge way this week. Was this a fluke? Hopefully. But they’ll need a remarkably better performance next week against a squad that lit it up in week one.
Next Week: @ Egypt Eagles(+8.0)

Man, that point difference between the third highest scoring winner and the fourth highest scoring winner. #FeelTheBern

Also, that shot at the Dolphins. Funny

I’m not *too* surprised. In an 8-team league with 11 roster spots, teams are going to alternate booming all year. For instance, looking at the match-ups for JHalc’s team this week, he is going to blow right past 130, and probably his projected 154.

It's a keeper league featuring mostly people in a Discord group (and Mexi/Pat), with 2 QBs and 2 Flexes.

Oh okay.

Is it bad that I don't know what Discord is?
