We all know I'm a member of The Cult of Cornette
After his AEW review he's being called racist, Islamophobic and homophobic. The only one I'd humor is the Islamophobic claim because he's said something nasty things about Islam. But he's said way more things about Christianity. The fact is his view on religion as a whole is very Marxist.
Anyway Joey Ryan piss me off because he tried to get promotions and networks to stop booking Cornette and as someone who may lose his job soon that didn't sit well with me.
Don't feel sorry for you one bit. You tried pushing a BS narrative against @TheJimCornette and tried to get him to lose bookings.

Like I expected Ryan blocked me on Twitter. And that's good because I don't have to see his garbage tweets again.

I didn't listen to the podcast so idk what was said that was considered racist, but I found this being said that was pointed out as homophobic: “Then here comes Sonny Kiss who apparently got off his day job at the drag-show at the f**king Tropicana. They’re not explaining any of this. The transvestite or exotico as they would say at AAA.”
Idc about the Joey Ryan vs. Jim Cornette stuff. I don't think anyone should be trying to get Cornette fired or lose work because of this, but I can also see how that statement came off to many. I don't think every celebrity should have to apologize for every questionable comment they make, but I definitely think Jim didn't make the right move by deflecting to Joey Ryan instead of just apologizing for that remark (especially when there were a lot more than just Joey Ryan calling him out). He just made the situation way worse than it needed to be. He said something highly questionable and was called out on it. I do think he should've defended himself in terms of Joey trying to make him lose work, but denying that anything in what he said was homophobic at all and just deflecting to Joey wasn't the right move.

I know you didn't listen to the podcast.
I don't know how saying Sonny Kiss shouldn't be in a battle royal to decide the number one contender for The World Title is homophobic. I figured people would have jumped on Cornette for his comments on the legless dude.

You don't see anything homophobic about "who apparently got off his day job at the drag-show at the fucking Tropicana"?
I'm not saying Cornette had those kind of intentions when he said what he said, but it's pretty clear to see how it came off and I just don't think it was a good idea of him to push off people's concerns and try to change the subject to Joey Ryan. I also think it's dumb for people to bring up old jokes Joey Ryan made on Twitter to try to force him out of work. I genuinely wonder how many people who are doing that supported James Gunn when Disney fired him.
That said, I also think it's wrong of Joey to try to hurt Cornette's career and livelihood over the questionable comments he made. I don't think anyone should be having their careers targeted right now over anything that's happening. I think Jim should've just acknowledged that people had legitimate reason to take issue what what he said, at the very least. Regardless of intention, he should at least try to see why people were upset instead of just acting like nothing he said was out of line in any way. But, instead, he just deflected the hatred onto Joey Ryan because he was one of the people targeting him.

I don't know why you guys see that as homophobic. Dude is a crossdresser or a trap. It's not even close to offensive as the jokes in the Discord chat.

Copied & pasted this response from Brandon, regarding the first part of what you said, since he's far better at explaining this than I, a straight man, would be.
"A cross dresser is a person dressing in the opposite genders clothes. A trap is a male who would at first appear to be a cute girl but doesn't necessarily mean homosexual. Sonny Kiss is a homosexual male who carries himself as a flamboyant homosexual male.
Wait, my question. Is it more acceptable to have someone who’s gay keep it closeted and not have it as a part of their character? Or is it simply because he’s open and flamboyant and has a heavenly ass?"
As far as the Discord thing, there's a few key differences there.
1.) We are not in the public eye. That's a private conversation between a private group and the stuff said in there doesn't upset the people in there. I don't make those same kind of jokes publicly or around other people I know would be upset by it, because I don't have a right to choose what's okay to say to others who are different than me.
2.) What Cornette said didn't come off as a joke. It came off as a man not understanding what Sonny is.

Fuck that. If I saw Johnny B Badd would you jump on me for saying he was a dude in drag? Getting upset over this is Tumbler SJW bullshit. If Cornette was saying some derogatory about men who crossdress, are flamboyant or are gay the outraged people would have a point. The fact is he didn't.
When talking about Sonny Kiss he brought up Adrion Street. He said Kiss didn't belong in a match to decide a World Title contender while someone like Street would. It's all about how you carry yourself as a wrestler.
Cornette brought in Cassandro el Exotico to wrestle in ROH and used him perfectly. He came in and wrestled Rhett Titus. It worked because Titus like to hit on women so he wrestled a gay crossdressing... flamboyant wrestler. Nobody was going to buy el Exotico challenging for a title but that doesn't mean there wasn't a place for him on the card.

I listened to the whole thing a couple of days ago and I don't think he's homophobic...but he should have left the homosexual name calling out of it imo. I can see how some people could interpret what he was saying as homophobic.

I'm just gonna say I don't agree with you and move on, because you're not gonna see this from the perspective of the people in that community.

People of the community have supported Cornette over what honestly is BS outrage. Honestly the argument over this is silly. I think the outrage has more to do with Jim having criticisms of AEW than possible homophobic comments.

- Some - people of the community. Jim RT'ing a few people in that community supporting him doesn't mean the majority support him. There are women who had no issue with Trump's "Grab em by the pussy" remark. Doesn't mean it's okay.

Okay so how many of the people in The LGBTQ community are appalled by what Jim said? Is he going to be deplatformed or kicked off MLW commentary because if enough are it would happen. I imagine he didn't piss as much people as Joey Styles did back in 2016 and he's far more relevant.

To save anyone time who wants to listen to Jim's response it might be the last 25 to 20 minutes of the show.
