This is the first digital series from Lighting One and the NWA telling the story of the most prestigious championship title in wrestling history. This episode of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold features behind-the-scenes footage of Tim’s arrival in Hollywood, being reunited with David Marquez and glimpse of his day. William Patrick Corgan bought the NWA/National Wrestling Alliance in summer of 2017. In Ten Pounds of Gold Documentary - Episode Three, we follow The Smashing Pumpkins frontman who has been interested in professional wrestling his whole life and was the president of TNA Impact Wrestling in 2016. With so much drama around his exit from TNA, the major question asked of Corgan is what are the three letters NWA worth? The legacy of the NWA and the Worlds Heavyweight Championship is tied to the great names all the way back to 1948 when the National Wrestling Alliance was founded.
During this NWA Ten Pounds of Gold, Corgan returns to Nashville, Tennessee to perform a live concert at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Before the concert, Corgan visited the former offices of TNA Impact Wrestling at Cummins Station telling the story of what happened with his former wrestling company. He explained why the three letters NWA, representing the National Wrestling Alliance, and the Ten Pounds of Gold mean so much to him.
Interwoven in this Ten Pounds of Gold is the story of Nick Aldis challenging the current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm. In conclusion of this episode, William Patrick Corgan announces the date and location of the first NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship match.

in 1994, the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title was thrown down moments after Shane Douglas won it at the corner of Swanson and Ritner. This was the rebel act of ECW that officially christened them Extreme Championship Wrestling. With WWE Clash of the Champions leaning on the history of the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) in 2017, the story of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold continues on with reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm.
With Tim Storm accepting the invitation of Combat Zone Wrestling to appear at CZW's Cage of Death, the pressure mounted for the 53-Year-Old School teacher and so did the injuries. An injury to the NWA Champion by Jocephus, left him with two cracked ribs.
Tim Storm had promised to look the CZW Locker Room in the eye and see who wanted to make history. Men like Matt Tremont, Ethan Page, and MJF all walked to the ring and laid their claim to the Ten Pounds of Gold. But it was the return of a legend - The Universal Heartthrob Austin Idol that shocked the wrestling world.
Austin Idol called out Tim Storm on his promise of "Anywhere, Anytime' to The Universal Heartthrobs new client - Nick Aldis. The shocking turn of events at CZW's Cage of Death play out in Episode Ten of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold.

When the digital series Ten Pounds of Gold started back in October, Tim Storm was not a household name. During all the episodes, fans began to learn the story of this fifty-three year old professional wrestler. The world saw his rise to battle Nick Aldis in Hollywood, a war with Jocephus, learning of challengers like Tommy Dreamer and those from CZW. It was the mounting momentum that became too much for the champion.
