– According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA made a play for Rey Mysterio in the last week. The feeling is that Mysterio will sign with Lucha Underground, but nothing official regarding season two has been announced. John Gaburick and Dixie Carter both spoke with Mysterio and pushed the idea of getting his merchandise into stores and that they could open the doors for movie and TV roles. They told him that they wanted to build around him as their Mexican superstar, and also told him that he could work anywhere he wanted on his off days. More on the story as it develops.

Well TNA is offering him a non-exclusive, so that shakes stuff up. TNA barely has any shows and Rey could realistically cash the fuck in on those other dates. He could make 7 figures working TNA and the independents.

I think he would be a good guy to have around for a few months. He's not really going to help TNA draw anyone in though.

He could help spot shows. It's not really going to help them with drawing TV viewers. He would REALLY help increase ROH's presence on Destination America though with all the new homes they're in on the west coast.

It's reported Karen Jarrett met up with him. Maybe he'll sign. I guess he's hoping this will open up a spot for his son too who starting training the beginning of this year.
