| Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy will NOT be signing new deals with Impact Wrestling … and it’s because they felt disrespected during contract talks.
Sources with direct knowledge tell us the Hardy Boyz agreed to terms on a new deal back in December, but needed a few minor changes, and were simply waiting for the finalized offer.
We’re told the deal was supposed to be for 1-year in length. Weeks and weeks passed, with Matt constantly checking in, but they were consistently given the run around.
Eventually Matt and Jeff’s lawyer told Impact Wrestling officials that they wanted a creative control clause in their new deals … which was shot down immediately. One source says their lawyer told Ed Nordholm there was interest from other companies and he responded by saying, “Well, tell them to go to WWE then.”
This set Jeff Hardy off, who at that point said he was no longer interested in re-signing. Matt continued talks, but when they sent a new contract last week it was now a 2-year deal and terms had been snuck in which stated they’d receive 10% of all his profits outside of Impact.
Matt’s lawyer said he’d be a fool to sign, so he informed the company he wasn’t interested in doing so — but would still come to the tapings to write off his characters. However, he was told he was crazy to think they’d want him on TV without a contact.
We’re told Impact officials are currently trying to get their tag titles back. |

| Been hearing that TNA has been wanting to make them TNA only wrestlers and not allow them to do what they have been doing for months now and that was the deal breaker. Say what you will, hate them all you want but The Broken Hardy's was the hottest thing in TNA, so it is stupid on their part for not giving them the deal they want. They probably will be on the indy scene for awhile doing their thing and probably get sign by WWE before the end of the year. Doubt WWE will allow Matt to continue the gimmick that has made him more of a star than he ever has been. Tho a feud with the new day would be amazing, but they will return as the hardy's for one last run. |

I hope they let him come back to write the character off.
And by write it off, I mean actually murder it, since that happens in his segments anyway.
Then he can go back to WWE with a gimmick that isn't awful. |

| Justin why do you hate broken hardy so much? You can have your opinion but what is it that is so bad? It is too random? Because how over the top it is? Because it's popular? why do you hate it? If anything it seem like something you like. A gimmick not taking itself too serious, Everyone who has been apart of it has had tons of fun doing it. |

| There's a difference between not taking itself too seriously and actually throwing people into volcanoes on a wrestling show.
I think it's incredibly dumb. I intensely dislike the way Matt delivers his lines as well. There's just nothing entertaining about it to me. It tries too hard to be "so bad, it's good". |

| but you like lucha underground don't you? a show where people have been killed and even eaten, Catria is a 1000 year old demon controlling a undead monster, a dragon man who escaped from a lizard cult. Does someone being shot out of a volcano sound really that weird compared to all that?
but if you don't find it entertaining, that's fine. I just wanted to know why you didn't like it, it's just not your taste I guess and you don't like the jokes. I think it is entertaining as hell, just wondering what else they could do next is always something to look forward to. Only thing I didn't like was Delete or decay because it tried too hard to capture the epicness imo of Final Deletion, but after that to me each segment has gotten better and crazier.
Just wondering why you didn't like it, and I have my answer. |

Just wondering why you didn't like it, and I have my answer. I haven't watched Lucha Underground since the first season (and I didn't watch the entire season), so I haven't seen any of that. I just really enjoyed the actual wrestling of the show and thought the presentation was interesting. |

| I'd be with Bull if Broken Matt Hardy actually brought in ratings for Impact. But that isn't the case.
The TNA name has become so toxic. Anthem has a long road ahead of them in trying to rebuild the brand. |

But I like to enjoy wrestling more as an art, I don't see it as much of a sport tho the talent are equal if not better than most athletes of today. Wrestling can be a sport, but it can be a drama, it can be a comedy , it can be whatever it can be just like with film. I've said this before, Broken Matt is like the Monty Python of pro wrestling. |

| @moose but with that said tho, the Character has made Matt at this point more popular than Jeff and has gotten him a lot of booking. Matt will probably finish up with the gimmick soon after his program with The Bucks of Youth is OVar |

| I think Jeff will end up in WWE. It would not surprise me at all if Matt did not. I could see Lucha Underground if the money is right and considering Rey Mysterio might be leaving it could work out. I could see ROH/NJPW/UK Indies. I just doubt he's going to make a decision based on money. |

| It's now being reported by PWInsider that Maria and Mike Bennett are now gone from TNA as well. So TNA has now randomly lost the Hardy Boyz, Drew Galloway, and now these guys in like 2 days |

| Supposedly TNA asked all their talent to give them 10% of their money made with other bookings and merch sales. lol |
