| Smackdown Live | The Kingslayer Conspiracy (Go Home Show to No Way Out) October 10, 2017
Opening Segment Seth Rollins comes to the ring. He says that he was recently told to watch his back, and that he's afraid of why. He says that a certain someone cost his team the match last week, and that doesn't make sense to him. He calls Baron Corbin out to explain himself. Corbin appears on the stage, and Seth asks him if he's in cahoots with Bray Wyatt. Corbin says he doesn't have to explain his actions last week, but to trust him: he's not in any sort of alliance with anybody. Seth says that he doubts that, and that he's been hearing whispers that someone doesn't want him to be WWE Champion. Corbin says that's definitely true, and that nobody backstage wants Seth to be the champion, but he has nothing to do with any of that, and all he cares about is being the one to take that title from Rollins. He says that he will do just that this Sunday, and that there's nothing that Seth and Bray can do about it. Seth says he still doesn't believe Corbin, and that he wants an honest explanation. Baron tells him that he's making him angry now, that he interfered in that match last week to send Rollins a message, and that he can send him another one tonight if he wants. Shane McMahon comes out, and says it sounds like the two of them need so blow off some steam. He quickly makes a match between them tonight, as a warm-up for this Sunday. Rollins says it's a bad time for Shane to start taking Daniel Bryan's advice, as he wanted to rest up this week, but that if Corbin wants to fight, he'll fight. As Shane leaves, Corbin tells Seth to watch his back, smugly laughing as Rollins angrily stares back at him. 86% Rating
[As the announcers talk about Rollins's dilemma throughout the night, JBL theorizes that Seth's "conspiracy" was concocted by Money in the Bank holder Shinsuke Nakamura, who is conspicuous by his absence tonight.]
Singles Match Zack Ryder def. Dolph Ziggler by disqualification (6:02) Mojo Rawley runs in and Spears Ryder, causing the DQ. 72% Rating
Segment Sami Zayn is backstage. He says that as a teenager, he watched Randy Orton make a mockery of the Intercontinental Championship as part of Evolution. Now, 14 years later, he has the chance to prevent that from happening again. He says he plans to do just that. He goes on to say that he won't let Randy do what Baron Corbin did as champion, and that he's just getting started with his own reign, and has no intention to lose the title any time soon. 84% Rating
Singles Match Asuka def. Naomi (5:30) 68% Rating
Segment Bray Wyatt's music starts up, but is quickly replaced by "AWESOME" as The Miz, Maryse, and Erick Rowan come to the ring. Miz takes a mic and says that Daniel Bryan looks like a fool right now. He says Bryan tried to screw Miz over once again by making an impossible tag team, but look at them now. He says that himself and Rowan are the best tag team in WWE, and that they're going to overthrow Bryan's biased reign over Smackdown by being the best tag team champions Smackdown Live has ever had. Bryan comes out and tells Miz that he's full of crap. He says that while he is surprised that Miz and Rowan won the titles, he's proud of Miz for learning to work as a team so quickly. Miz tells "Dad" that he doesn't need him to be proud of him, that he's already part of the best tag team in WWE. Bryan says that if they're the best, then they'd have no problem putting their titles on the line. Miz, a little less confidently, says that he would be fine with it. Bryan says that Sheamus and Cesaro are going to get a rematch for the titles this Sunday at No Way Out, but the team they will face for the titles will be determined tonight, as Miz and Rowan will be defending against...American Alpha, who come out, very excited, and make their way to the ring. 78% Rating
Smackdown Tag Team Championships The Miz & Erick Rowan [w/Maryse] (c) def. American Alpha (12:40) Once again, Miz looks like he's going to lose, but Maryse interferes, allowing Rowan to get the pin 84% Rating
Segment Johnny Gargano is backstage, restlessly pacing around the locker room. He mutters to himself about how he can't wait to get his hands on Tommaso Ciampa. He says they should just fight now as he passes the door. As he passes, around the corner comes Ciampa, who puts Johnny in a Sleeper. He gets in Gargano's ear, telling him that that's too bad, and he has to wait until this Sunday to have his career ended. He tells him to enjoy the time he has left, because this Sunday, he's not going to let go. Ciampa throws Gargano forward and ducks out of the room as Johnny catches his balance. Gargano curses under his breath and storms out of the room. 76% Rating
Singles Match Randy Orton def. Shelton Benjamin (8:28) 80% Rating
Segment Carmella and James Ellsworth are backstage. Ellsworth is rambling to Carmella about how her loss to Becky Lynch was a total fluke last week, and that Carmella should have the title match this Sunday instead of Asuka. Carmella eventually gets bored of his praises and walks off, while Ellsworth doesn't notice and keeps rambling while looking the other way. As he starts talking about how Becky is a fake champion and doesn't stand a chance against Asuka, let alone Carmella, the champion herself appears behind him. James goes on for a few more seconds before turning around, finding him face to face with Lynch. Becky asks him what he was talking about, and Ellsworth meekly says that she's going to lose to Asuka this Sunday. Becky asks if that's what he thinks, Ellsworth affirms a bit more confidently that he does, and then says that Carmella is going to beat Asuka for the title next week. Becky starts to say that she highly doubts that, but before she can get it all out, she is attacked from behind by Carmella. Both Carmella and Ellsworth start stomping away at Lynch before running off, leaving the champion in pain on the floor. 75% Rating
Singles Match WWE Champion Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin went to a no contest (9:53) As Rollins and Corbin start to brawl up the ramp, the lights to out and Bray Wyatt appears. Wyatt and Corbin end up back in the ring, stomping away at Rollins, but Bray then grabs Corbin and hits Sister Abigail before standing tall with the title to end the show. 89% Rating
