After hitting an all-time low a few years ago (around 2007-2009 is also debatable), I think WWE is getting back on track to probably the best it's been since like the Attitude Era or Ruthless Aggression era.

2016 has been a good year for WWE.

Although I haven't been watching basically at all recently (since the NFL season started at least) but for like the past couple of hours today I've caught up a bit by watching a bunch of Raw & SD highlights on WWE's youtube channel and things are looking really good to me. I plan on getting back into wrestling as a result.

The Jericho/Owens stuff, Enzo Amore/Lana, The Miz, the cruiserweight division, and I can go on. I remember not too long ago Heath Slater was killing it as well. I feel like WWE actually has a lot of really good storylines going on with some quality entertaining characters. I'm assuming New Day are still great too but I didn't see much of them just now so I can't confirm that.

I'd say the actual wrestling talent is also probably at an all-time high right now.

Now, I don't know how this has all been playing out on 2 & 3 hour shows though so I'll have to wait and see when I get back into watching WWE on a more consistent basis.

But this is a thread to get thoughts from people who have still actually been watching the shows. Do you see improvement in the product in 2016 or nah?

I been watching here and there. I think it's better that the guy in top isn't a babyface who's hated by half the people anymore.

It's hard to talk about how good WWE has been this time of the year because this is basically when they start the phone things in.

I'm wondering why you think the Enzo/Lana is good? It basically makes Enzo look stupid and a like a chump. Maybe you just hate the guy?

Other than Smackdown, WWE programming is unwatchable. The ratings have seen record lows throughout the year

And this dude bringing up the cruiserweights like people care about the cruiserweights.

I watched 205 Live a couple of times and the empty seats during the show are very noticeable.

Watching highlights is why you believe WWE great?

Watching highlights means you usually just watch what you wanna see opposed to sitting through the show all 3 hours

But also as I was saying, the WWE product was very good before I stopped watching too. A big improvement from what it used to be.


As far as the Enzo/Lana angle goes... it's entertaining. They're thinking outside the box a little bit with this storyline/feud and it's actually comical.

Match Quality has greatly improved.

Raw is still trash.

Smackdown is good though.

I've watched barely anything (aside from the CWC and some NXT) for like a year now, so I can't comment on the quality. I do think that the talent in the roster is the best that it's ever been.

The reason that I don't watch it anymore is because there's just too damn much of it. RAW, Smackdown, NXT and the Cruiserweight show is, what, seven hours a week? Add in the PPVs they're having regularly, and honestly there's other things I'd rather be doing. I could just watch the PPVs, but I'd lose the context of a lot of it, and I don't like watching wrestling on my own.

Also the Enzo thing is garbage. How is a guy trying to have an affair with a married woman a face?

I watch RAW and Smackdown main event matches live

I watch the rest on YouTube

I watch PPV's on demand on WWE Network -- for a huge PPV, I might watch live

Watching 3 hours live -- no, never again -- I used to watch Smackdown for 7+ years live as a little kid, I cried if I couldn't watch it lol

I didn't have the RAW channel all those years

I'm pretty bored of the actual wrestling now, I like stupid storylines

I want to see new gimmicks from most of the current roster

TLDR: I will never watch live ever again since it's a waste of time but I still catch up on YouTube and stuff

Yeah, those days where Cena hogged all the spotlight at the top was awful for the WWE.

Just watched some highlights for Raw & SD from this week.

Raw didn't seem very good this week but Smackdown did.

Yeah but somehow WWE is much better today even tho ratings and attendance are at a record low when Cena is pretty much part time now

The only thing I watch fully now of WWE is smackdown. And for awhile there I thought Smackdown was losing its luster but last nights Smackdown was awesome. Yeah only had 3 matches, but those three matches kicked ass. Especially when Becky turned into Pentagon Jr near the end of her match with Bliss.
