Suggestions for 2017 XWA Fantasy Football thread

1. Have an additional IR spot --- which is common on many leagues

2. Remove the trade deadline if possible

3. Have as default settings as possible, hopefully we aren't still using some of Digg's settings ( lol )

4. XWA Fantasy football draft should be Sunday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM EST which is after the 4th preseason game and 5 days before the regular season starts

5. Stick with Yahoo for sure (for both football and basketball)

We could maybe add an IR spot. I do have an IR spot in one of my two other main leagues. But the default ESPN leagues don't add an IR spot.

Last year the trade deadline ended late (like during Week 12 or 13) and people complained about that.

The settings are basically default. I think maybe the defense or kicking is like very slightly different from ESPN's default settings but it might be yahoo's DEF default settings, I don't remember.

We can make the draft after the last week. As long as it works for everyone.

Yahoo is fine. I prefer ESPN's layout and everything but yahoo actually saves the league pages so that's a huuuuge preference there.

The IR one is the only one I'd take under consideration tbh. The draft time depends on the other users.

I just want defenses to not lose 700 points because the opponents got a field goal.

An IR Spot sounds good.

Maybe we should consider 0.5 PPR?

I want an extra roster spot too but people already complain about there being no FA's available in a 16 team league. An extra player per roster makes it even worse.

Maybe we'll add an IR spot. That's probably the #1 suggestion in this thread.

I don't like the sound of .5 points though. Decimal scores are ugly. Maybe we could consider 1 point PPR... it does help make more RB's valuable (those 3rd down backs) for a position that's very weak in recent years. It might be too much though idk.

Yeah a full point shifts the league totally to WRs and I don't like that. I don't even really like 0.5PPR, but many in our league aren't very good at finding good RB plays.

I say we have a 32-man league. There can be eight divisions and 12 playoff spots with the top 4 teams receive first-round byes.

But I do like the sound of that IR spot, I didn't know they had that option.

I'd be down for PPR but only at .5. 1 is too outrageous, unless it would be 1 point for every two catches.

Let's do a 128-man league!

We'll have plenty of time to discuss this stuff but since I'm eliminated I'm already looking ahead to next season so...

What do people think about changing the scoring for defense a little bit? Instead of going -3, -3, -3 and then -1's, make it something like -2 for reaching each scoring range. So -2 for 1-6 points allowed, another -2 for 7-13, etc.
