Huh.
So it just keeps on proving what was mentioned in other threads:
Aside the discrimination - regardless of what a few may say, "discrimination" is a broad word - of a couple starting as a rumor, it actually happened huh?

Oh wow. Where are the "WWE Would never do that!" people now?

This still has nothing to do with discrimination. They didn't want Del Rio and Paige to be together. If the rumors regarding why that is are true, it's because they (Triple H) find Del Rio to be a negative influence on Paige. They still shouldn't try to force her to break up with him, but it's not because they're foreigners. Even if the rumors of Triple H wanting them to split up for that reason aren't true, I think calling it a case of discrimination is still dumb. If it's not because of the negative influence thing, it's because they knew Del Rio was on his way out, the same reason they treated AJ like shit after Punk left.

Again, it is discrimination. People don't seem to know that discrimination is not a set definition.

It is considered discrimination if a person or a group of people are treated differently (in a positive or negative way) than others. It is considered discrimination if a person or group of people who share the same traits are treated differently (ie: 2 people whose vehicles are the exact same characteristics, yet one has more benefits than the other | a company who accepts two people who get engaged, but will not allow others to have a relationship like those who were accepted to have one). For example:

Positive Discrimination:
Enforcing the instalation of ramps or elevators for disabled people to access buildings or other facilities.

Negative Discrimination:
Not allowing two coworkers to have a relationship, even though there are exceptions to several other coworkers within the same company or to the employers themselves.

Discrimination, per se, is a broad word: It can be used for a lot of settings; racism, sexism, ageism, whatever. In this case, it so happens they are foreign, but the main issue is they were being treated differently AS A COUPLE, whereas others within the company had a completely different treatment.

TL;DR
A guy works as a Valet for a hotel.
He looks down on a guy who gives him a 1998 car to park, takes his car and parks it in the shittiest of places.
Then a guy with a 2016 Super Car shows up and the Valet immediately acts like an ass kisser and is super nice to them.

This ^ is an example of discrimination that has nothing to do with race. I'm very surprised that we're in 2016 and people just like a broad word to 1 simple subject.

Well normally in America when we talk about discrimination it's either about race or gender most of the time.

I don't know what WWE's deal was and why they were trying to break them up with the brand split.

Yeah I know that, and that is wrong considering the concept around that term when it comes to Sociology. And the misuse and/or misunderstanding of what "Discrimination" is is still a problem.

However, I would... "kind of" (?) understand the whole "Bad Influence" thing but then again, it's none of their business. They could be professional about it and talk to Paige to settle things properly.
Especially after Del Rio said he wanted to leave. An "interestingly timed" suspension for both as well, coming from the same company who made AJ job to Paige after the whole CM Punk fiasco.

PR Wise, the WWE strongly needs someone who is able to stop these messes from happening.

Yeah I agree. Why did it matter what brand ADR and Paige were on anyway? It's not like WWE had some kinda grand plan for them.

Heh, after the League of Nation's thing, the only way for Del Rio to come back was to get on the WWE Title Picture but let's be honest: they're stacked! And Roode going to the Main Roster has to be a thing as well. ADR wouldn't get much of a choice unless he had a nice mouthpiece.

I mean, I am still baffled they allowed him to return AND beat John Cena on his return night, and a week later totally ruin it.

They could've done so much with him, but as always, creative be dumb.

As for Paige... well. She's a fantastic competitor but... the moment they "destroyed" the NXT Paige and made her a weird babyface, and then limbo-ed around with her gimmick, she lost all credibility. Plus the Women's division, for me, is still Yawn-worthy. Neutral
