– WWE announcer Jerry Lawler was in attendance at the 38th annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois. According to a fan in attendance who spoke with Lawler, he said that WWE was planning to have two PPV events monthly after the new brand extension starts. The format would be one PPV event for Raw and one for Smackdown.

The exceptions for this change would be for the months with the big four events: WrestleMania, Summerslam, the Royal Rumble and Surrvivor Series. During the previous brand extension, WWE would alternate months for PPV events for Raw and Smackdown, with the big signature events being a combined show. Eventually, all the events would start combining brands.

How is it dumb af if they've done it from 2004 till 2007 or '08 with the split brands, before they merged them into one thing. Raw and Smackdown had their own PPVs so I don't see this as a bad move.

There were at least two months every year where SD and Raw would have their PPV, usually two weeks ahead of the other. Except for the Grand PPV months. I'm sure they'll manage to get a deal with their network to do that and profit anyway.

The brand split experiment was tried before and it failed.

the roster is currently loaded with great talent and more are on the way. Adam Cole, Moose two big names for ROH are names WWE is currently targeting to try to sign. Lethal one day could end up in WWE. but sadly a lot of them could end up getting lost in the shuffle and end up being wasted in WWE. In theory, the brand split is to give guys a lot more opportunities to be big stars. Roman going to be WWE champion for awhile, at least til Summerslam and maybe beyond that. Bringing back the brand and a 2nd world title can give other guys the spot light. Why have one face of the company when you can have faces of the brand. Do I have faith that WWE could get it right this time? I mean the first couple of years the brand split was amazing...but as of now and WWE's track record lately I have my doubts...but time will tell what becomes of all of this.

I wouldn't say the roster is "loaded." Not like it was when they originally decided to do it in the years between 2002-2007, those were loaded rosters. And judging how badly the ratings have been lately, it's not like WWE has been giving anyone reasons to watch anyways.
