Recent interview with Jim Ross I heard him talk about how Nakaumra is pretty much a gold mine for the WWE, all they have to do is just let him be him. Is he that goldmine?

The dude is amazing. If anyone from New Japan is going to get himself over in WWE it's going to be him.

Well from what I read Nakaumra is only supposed to do one NXT show. Even if he was I don't think it would be much of a problem for him down in NXT.

It could be an issue if both guys were on the main roster at the same time.

I would love for him to be huge, but he's also kinda old.

A non-Caucasian person? "Huge" in the WWE? What are you, a liberal? /s

He'll possibly have a few shots for a mid-card title; I honestly see WWE fucking it up as they did with other Japanese stars.

Well if WWE is going to push someone like Roman Reigns as their top guy there's no reason someone like Nakaumra can't be WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The last Japanese megastar in the main WWE roster. Who was that? Yoshi Tatsu?

Nah. Statistics suggest that WWE will not make anything out of it. Unless he was a Paul Heyman guy. That'd be grand.

Well, there is one reason. "Vince doesn't like him."

Idk if Vince likes Swagsuke or not, but if he doesn't, he'll probably get treated like the majority of NXT wrestlers once they make their main roster debut.

That could be. And you're probably right. But WWE is paying Nakaumra a lot of money to take him from New Japan Pro Wrestling. WWE would be clowns to not do something big with this dude clown

^I was being sarcastic about Yoshi Tatsu being a "mega star".
Even then, Inoki was not a Mega Star in the US, considering the WWWF Martial Arts Championship was mostly/exclusively defended in Japan (correct me if I'm wrong). He was an accomplished wrestler and highly respected. But in the US, Jushin Liger has more titles than he has in big promotions.

The last "big" Japanese star in WWE would have to be Tajiri. Kenzo and Yoshi dont count solely based on what they did which was absoultely nothing.

As far as Itami goes, is he still hurt? It's been about a good year since he last wrestled, if they end up releasing him it'll be the biggest talent wasted in modern times.

Yeah Itami is still hurt.

and Nakamura can be a goldmine, but I just highly doubt WWE will do him right.

Honestly, the only thing that gives me some faith that they're gonna use Nakamura well is the money they spent to get him.

Also, I wouldn't really call Tajiri a big star in WWE. I fucking loved that little shit, but he was pretty much a midcarder from beginning to end.

There's a reason he was Takumi's picbase. Mainly because Takumi was a carbon copy of him, but there was a reason he was a carbon copy of him.

Tajiri could be considered a big star based on what he did in the company. A couple title reigns, he had some decent feuds and won some of those. He was the only one to be moderately successful in the past 2 decades.

I consider big stars people to become World Champ at least once, or even a few times, and to be main eventers.

Tajiri was big, compared to most Japanese wrestlers in WWE, but still not big by company standards. Essentially, it's a tallest midget type deal.

On one hand, WWE doesn't handle foreign people well, especially those that struggle with clear English.

On the other hand, Nakamura is not like any Japanese talent in history. A rare super-elite talent in wrestling that has everything (short of the ability to cut a top-end promo in English.) He's one of the ten most charismatic wrestlers ever. He's tall. He's not too skiny. He's a super-elite in ring wrestler including facial expressions that are unmatched in today's landscape.

So, yes, I agree. He could be a goldmine. This guy could break barriers... but they have another person that could be breaking barriers that is still on the "developmental" show because they fear it won't work on the main roster (because it wouldn't, because they'd fuck it up.)
