The Wyatt Family Burying Empty
PostSubject: The Wyatt Family Burying   The Wyatt Family Burying EmptyThu Feb 25, 2016 9:41 am

Going into Fastlane this past Sunday night, the Wyatt Family was one of the biggest things in all of WWE. Everyone kind of thought that the entire Pay-Per-View centered around them and what they were going to do. Now, the “Road to WrestleMania 32” has officially started, and Bray Wyatt and the other three members seem like a complete afterthought, and it could very well be to the internet getting hold of some WWE storyline leaks.

For some reason or another, the Wyatt Family has almost totally disappeared from sight. Many storyline leaks over the past couple of months may have taken their mega-push and destroyed it.

When Fastlane began, the wrestling fans of the world thought that the Wyatt Family was going to absolutely dominate.

It was thought that Braun Strowman, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan would defeat Ryback, Kane, and Big Show in the six-man tag match. Many thought it would be a showcase for Braun Strowman to begin his spot as the new “monster of WWE.”

Not only was Strowman not a focal point, but the Wyatt Family actually lost, and Bray Wyatt looked weak.

Later that night, a triple threat main event saw Roman Reigns defeat Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose to win a title shot at WrestleMania 32. It was expected that the Wyatt Family was going to come down, take Lesnar out of the match, force him to lose, and set up a feud between Bray Wyatt and the Beast Incarnate.

They never once showed their faces.

On Monday Night Raw, the Wyatt Family (Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Bray Wyatt) took on Kane, Ryback, and Big Show. As recapped by WWE.com, this time it was a victory for the Wyatts, but the focus was on Ryback leaving his team high and dry while going through a heel turn.

Now, Bray Wyatt isn’t going to face off with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32.

No, after Fastlane, it was rumored that Dean Ambrose would take on Lesnar as reported by Wrestling Inc. On Monday night, that match was confirmed and put in place as a No Holds Barred Street Fight, and Wyatt is out of the picture entirely.

The feud between the Wyatts and Lesnar that started at the Royal Rumble was now over and gone.

A match at the biggest event of the year and against Brock Lesnar would have been huge for Bray Wyatt. At this point, the leader of the Wyatt Family is without a program of any kind and doesn’t have even a hint of a match at WrestleMania 32.

Even before Ambrose vs. Lesnar was made on Monday night, The Wrestling Observer Radio reported that the Wyatt/Lesnar plan was totally off.

Braun Strowman has been seen as Vince McMahon’s pet project, and he was to be billed as the next huge star in WWE. At Fastlane, he was not only on the losing team, but appeared to be manhandled by Big Show at times.

A few hours after Fastlane ended, Bray Wyatt tweeted out his usual cryptic talk.

Sports World News says that WWE is actually not taking the Wyatt Family seriously anymore and have kind of given up on them. Finally, after Survivor Series and the loss to the Brothers of Destruction, the Wyatt Family had started to look strong and dominant.

A gigantic showing at the Royal Rumble paved their way to WrestleMania 32, but what a difference a month makes. Now, it’s not known if Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman, or even Bray Wyatt will have a match at the event in early April.

Sure, there is plenty of time, and it’s likely they will get something, but the three top matches are already set, and not a single Wyatt is to be found. With so many injuries to huge stars, it’s difficult to think how Bray Wyatt can be in a high-tier match.

It may not necessarily be the fault of the Wyatt Family that their mega-push has completely disappeared and they’ve faded into the background. From being the focus of Fastlane in rumors and storyline leaks to hardly making an impact at all, it will be interesting to see if Bray Wyatt or any of the other three Wyatts have a place at WrestleMania 32.

The Wyatt Family has easily been the worst booked stable in wrestling history. You build them up only to knock them down and for what? What is the point of pushing anyone not named Roman Reigns if you're not going to bother going through with it? I wouldn't call their status a burial but they're definitely not a strong group and when they do look strong, someone takes the L and we're back to square one. Makes no sense.

Come on Dead. I think they're in better shape than The Aces & 8s Thirsty Mofos

Aces and 8's actually was able to look strong at points and won championships. If you compare the wyatts and Aces and 8s on who looks stronger it is Aces and 8s and that is a huge insult because the wyatts are the better stable in character wise.

True. Even Roman. I actually don't hate Roman. I just despise him as the "face" and the way they're booking him.

I don't think anyone other than Bully Ray was a champion while in Aces & 8s

Devon might have been Television Champion. I don't think he was though. I think his last reign ended before he was a member.

And everyone that wasn't Bully Ray was basically cannon fodder for the babyfaces during the whole time they were a stable.

Devon was TV Champ while in Aces & 8's. They looked incredibly strong weak in and weak out except on PPV. They're still booked stronger than the Wyatts though.
