Star Wars fan Yuri Luiz of Sao Paolo, Brazil has started a petition on Change.org to get Colin Trevorrow replaced as director of Star Wars: Episode IX with George Lucas. The film is set to be released in 2019. Lucas will be 74 then. He previously stated he wasn’t interested in working on any of the new movies.

Luiz wrote: “We have no problem with Colin Trevorrow, but he’s not the right guy to direct Star Wars Episode IX. George Lucas as director of Episode IX would be the perfect way to end this new trilogy and make an epic farewell between the father of Star Wars and the whole universe of the galaxy far, far away … ”

The petition currently has 6,491 supporters.

They must not know Lucas directed all of the prequel trilogy.

I like Lucas but I don't think the dude was honestly that big into the idea of having more Star War films. It seems like he wrote a story for a new episode just to get more money from Disney.
