PostSubject: Owens losing in 20 seconds   Mon Jan 04, 2016 3:09 pm

What they did last week with Owens was genius. I've seen a lot of people getting pissed off about him losing in 20 seconds...but it was a great. It actually giving Owens more depth into his character...plus it shows Owens is probably the only one who gives a damn about winning and losing. This makes Owens a dangerous sore loser. He loses His championship, loses break out star of the year, and he loses to Neville in 20 seconds...and all that makes him snap and he pretty much tries to kill Neville. More of this please...more of the fucking wrestlers showing emotions and caring about wins and loses. Fuck them having a 20 min match...I think what they did last week over that anytime...now what they did last week can lead into a 20 min match or however long epic they wanna have. But please more of what they did last week...more character development...enough of the bland always smiling baby faces and chicken shit heels.

its is building Owens up as a very dangerous guy. and another thing is Owens cares more about losing his IC title, then Sheamus does about losing his WWE title...

Why is any dude that WWE wants to push losing in 20 seconds?

This is the way you build a match for mid-card clowns.

you gotta look at the bigger picture here. Owens loses his IC title, he loses break out star of the year, and he loses in 20 seconds to the guy that took his award. He getting embarrassed, he's getting pissed off. He takes his anger out on people. And him losing in 20 seconds is what really makes him snap and nearly kill Neville. It gives Owens more depth into his character. He hates to lose, he is a sore loser, it shows he cares about wins and loses...and he is dangerous when he is pissed. Which that played out through the night with Owens. It doesn't make him look like a clown...it gives him layers, makes him more 3D as a character.

It's building a story & character, and adding fuel to the fire for Kevin Owens. That's a good thing if they capitalize.

Also, I didn't see HOW he lost, but typically if you lose in 20 seconds it looks flukey. They would just need to make Owens look strong now and it won't matter. Things just aren't going his way right now and it's pissing him off. That's the story, and they're adding a lot to his character (a sore loser) while doing this, as Bull said.

You're the one not looking at the bigger picture. Dude lost in 20 seconds. To Neville.

I don't know how being pissed off about losing adds to anyone's character. Everyone should want to win.

So he attacks Neville. I don't know why I should be hyped for a rematch since Owens just lost to the dude in 20 seconds. I don't see anyone clamoring for rematch between Conor McGregor and José Aldo.

Neville may have won the match...but it was Owens who left on his own two feet. I aint bothered

You are looking at it in black and white. There is more to what is going on.

Now I would be pissed if Neville won in 20 seconds and Owens did NOTHING.

Who was made to look like a clown in 20 seconds? Owens, that's who. Not only did Neville beat the former Intercontinental Champion but he also be him in 20 seconds.

Why should I care that Owens is such a poor sport and attack Neville after the match? I know WWE doesn't. They're not going to fine him or anything. In fact they'll probably reward him by giving him a rematch. So why am I supposed to care at all?

Like Smurf said if WWE capitalize that 20 lost would be worth it...and you said it makes Owens look like a clown...well in Owens' character mind yeah it made him look stupid...he loses his IC title, loses his slammy and now this... Kevin is like "FUCK This elf ear fucker I gonna kill him!"

You gotta look past the fact he lost in 20 seconds...because at the end of the day who looked more stronger as a character Owens or Neville?...Owens looked Stronger because of what he did to Neville and what he did to Dean later on in the show.

All of this has a purpose to make Owens character more depth. I rather have this owens then a Owens that has zero fucking character.

It is basic story telling. And Again you are looking at things in black and white. Look past your Owen fandomship...and look deeper.

It's doesn't matter if it was Kevin Steen or whoever a 20 second loss is a 20 second loss. Of course the dude should be pissed. I'm just not telling people that this is some kind of big character development like you are. It'd be a bigger story if Owens was a some kinda WWE type goofy babyface but he isn't.

I'm not sure if you're being a WWE apologist or if you sincerely think this really is some kind of huge character development for Kevin Owens.

Kevin Owens attacked Neville after he lost a match to him. Doesn't sound like news to me Tired

You are clearly don't want to see the possibles of a growing Owens character so i am going to stop trying to show you because you don't want to.

And Me a WWE apologist? Me who has bitched about WWE non stop for years...who criticizes everything WWE does...ME?...of all people on here?

Yeah the dude who's not going to watch anything else NAH

You don't like promotions that try to make pro wrestling seem like it's a real sport. So I don't know why you're getting all hyped for a post match attack after a sports entertainment showdown. It's not like there's going to be any ramifications for Owens for what he did.

Oh the dude snapped! He better get a rematch next week! OMG that's so crazy!

There's way more interesting things happening in pro wrestling this week alone and for some reason you're fired up about this Bruh......

Because unlike you I believe there is more to wrestling then fucking in ring work. It's about characters, stories, and yes the wrestling plays a huge part...but it is not the only part. So yeah Wrestling shows that just focus on the wrestling...I give ZERO fucks about.

And I don't watch anything else? Did you forget I'm a lucha underground mark?

and it is not the fact that I am hype that they are actually giving depth to a character for fucking once...It is more of the fact I am point things out to butt hurt Kevin Steen fans who can't look past the fact he lost in 20 seconds and don't want to see that there is more going on here...if WWE capitalizes on it. If WWE doesn't then you may have a point...but it is a new year and I am going to wait and see if WWE does and I am being hopeful about it.

There's more to wrestling than x lost to y in z seconds in WWE. Shaking Head If you're against that then it's probably why you don't like WWE but to many that's what adds to the entertainment; the problem is creative have just been lazy more often than not for years now. However, in this case they're using this as a way to add some decent character development for Owens. I wouldn't say it's amazing booking at all (still maybe a bit on the lazy side) but it's far from a bad thing.

What a superstar does and how they act in between the matches matters just as much, or really even more than a match result. How they react or even further how they come across in the end is much more important than something that could look like a fluke loss in the long run. Now it's a matter of WWE capitalizing which it looks like they will with the way that angle is going. Hell, they could also end up putting Neville over instead if they prefer that - but I wouldn't. They have options with this.

It is an angle WWE is using with Owens right now and there IS character development that comes with it which can be bigger than an embarrassing loss along the way.

The point of it is to make Kevin Owens look like a vicious sore loser. People don't like that and he could easily look like a strong heel in the end. That's a win for WWE all the way around if they do it right from here.

In WWE results don't really matter too much, they're more a device for a story - unlike in other promotions. They're trying to put Owens over as a guy that you shouldn't piss off, as if he's dangerous, which suits Owens down to the ground.

Yeah the other sports entertainment promotion Bruh......

I remember one time you were listing off things WWE needed to do. I told you TNA did all of those things and all you said was "lol that's TNA though."

How does this give him depth? All he did was jump a dude after a match.

I know your replay already. "Well he was pissed because he keeps losing and losing." I don't see what there is to be excited about Bruh......

Well wins and losses don't even matter in WWE anyway Bruh......

Well it was actually meant to shoot Sheamus to super stardom but it didn't happen. So WWE's plan of making a short ass World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania didn't work.

No the opposite happened and the fans reacted negatively at Sheamus the next night on RAW. And the fans got behind Bryan Danielson. So booking a short match and making Danielson look like a clown worked against their plans.

I don't see how a WWE heel jumping a dude after a match is a huge character development. Kevin Owens is basically following the template of any WWE heel and you're treating it like it's some kind of big deal.

I am happy with it because it is the step in the right direction because they are actually giving someone character development. Owens is a guy not to piss off, he is a sore loser, and he dangerous. it is better than the typical chicken shit heel that runs away. Owens is being presented as a badass...even in defeat he is a badass.

Dude's a badass who lost to a guy low on the card in 20 seconds clown

So I actually watched the thing to see what the big deal is. And what WWE is actually trying to do here is build a match between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose.

Well what worse way can you do that than have the challenger lose to some dude in 20 seconds?

I'll tell you right now what I saw didn't make me wanna drop money to see these two wrestle.

well that is you...believe what you want and spend your money how you want. I think his post match attack makes up for that 20 second lost...

Owens was still a badass

and like spirit said...D-bryan lost in 17 seconds and it didn't do anything bad to him
