Microsoft is currently "working on a solution" to make Xbox 360 games available for purchase on Xbox One, according to Head of Xbox Phil Spencer.
In response to a fan's request on Twitter to make backwards compatible Xbox 360 games available for purchase on Xbox One, Spencer said: "We've heard this request and we are working on a solution."
Last month, Microsoft released a massive Xbox One system update, overhauling the dashboard and adding backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games. While the new feature allows the system to read select Xbox 360 discs, Microsoft has yet to make these titles available for sale on the Xbox One marketplace.
Meanwhile, Sony is taking a different approach in supporting its back catalog by making PlayStation 2 games available for purchase on PS4 via PlayStation Store. Which approach do you prefer? Let us know in the comments.
