| Lets be honest here. The best thing on WWE TV the last few weeks has been this World Title tournament. There's been a few dud matches and some lame entries. But from what I hear on Wrestling Observer Radio the second round was mostly fun matches.
So what was the pay off towards all this build? Sheamus, who was not in the tournament, is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
First I'll say I like Sheamus. I'd say he'd be a fine WWE World Champion if he had some kinda build towards it. But WWE uses The Money In The Bank contract as it's Get Out of Jail free card. They use it as a crutch for lazy booking. A easy out.
Like I said it's a good thing I only seen one Smackdown since this tournament started because all the TV building towards crowning a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion meant nothing. It's not "oh man! Sheamus is such a bad guy I gotta buy that next pay per view or get The WWE Network to see Roman Reigns get him back!" No it's why should I give a fuck? You had all these weeks with 5 hours a week on TV building towards this thing and it meant nothing because... I don't even know why. You want Roman Reigns as your next top guy. Here was your chance. But no today on RAW we're going to have another boring 20 minute promo with Triple H and his dog Sheamus making fun of Roman Reigns and telling him how much better and smarter they are than him.
This tournament changed nothing. We're going to get the same old same old. And that's not good since ratings have been falling. He was your chance to do something different and maybe try change it around. But no. So why should I watch RAW since most of the time it's the same old boring shit? |

| I haven't watched most of it all tbh, as I forget to catch up...but from what I've read, the tournament seemed a joke. The people in it (Titus O'Neil? lol) made little sense beyond the last 4 and then a couple of others.
I imagine the end goal of the PPV was for people to feel sorry for Reigns loosing out again to a second Money in the Bank winner. Whether that worked or not, I don't know...I imagine everyone still boo'd him/cheered for Sheamus.
Either way, Sheamus is Champion and I think that's utter shit <_< |

| I think WWE seriously fucked up here. I didn't watch RAW but I think they made Roman Reigns the next Lex Luger. |

| WWE hasn't been the greatest, but it hasn't been the worst.
Wyatt family/Kane and Taker promos have been good. |

| I'm still finding it sort of hard to take Kane/Taker seriously...after seeing Kane in a suit for so long, he looks a little goofy next to Taker who's been serious forever.
The promo on Raw was funny, though, from them. Taker is all serious about their souls not being taken and beating the Wyatt's at the PPV...Kane gets the mic and is all "Y'ALL GONNA' BURN!" xD |

| Ratings is in and RAW did under three million viewers for the first time since 1997.
Like I said they're just being doing the same old shit week after week. Month after month. And ratings are going down. So what's their response? Lets continue The Authority bullshit with Sheamus instead of Seth Rollins. |

| "I liked this movie better when it was Daniel Bryan."

I agree, though. SS was just... awful. It had two good matches in Paige vs Charlotte and Dean vs Owens, and a decent match in ADR vs Reigns. Everything else sucked. Even though I love Undertaker and enjoy seeing him win things (like I would've loved to seen him do at HIAC vs Lesnar), this was Bray Wyatt's time to finally be a big guy, and they pretty much jobbed him out. They had the traditional SS match be a randomly put together match that wasn't hyped whatsoever and was really only saved by New Day and Lucha Dragons, and then the finals of the tournament were fucking awful, not to mention Sheamus cashing in pretty much ruined the whole tourney, and the weirdest part is, I was ok with Sheamus winning it over Reigns.
I am a Roman Reigns fan, so when I'm cheering fucking SHEAMUS to go over him, you know things are shit. I just hate the way they're using Reigns. He should be a solid mid-carder right now as he hones his skills. They need to get over it, Reigns will NEVER EVER EVER be 'the guy', he's not charismatic enough. However, they can make him a solid character and give him a Triple H/Batista/Undertaker role where he's still at the top in some capacity. Make him stop talking, make him wreck shit, etc. Why the fuck is he still a face when he is a perfect heel and gets enough heat? Stop making him Cena 2.0, because that's going to be career suicide for him.
Honestly, if they wanted a heel champ to continue, they should have had Owens win it and align with the authority, at least Owens > Sheamus, and Owens winning it would be a huge thing. Instead they went one of three super predictable routes (Reigns wins face, Sheamus cashes in, Dean turns on Reigns), hell, even if Dean turned and won it, that'd still be way better than what they did.
On the bright side, it's Wrestlemania season, so I expect good things coming, seeing as that's been the case the past 2 years (Bryan and Rollins both winning the world title).
Roman was getting loud cheers on RAW, that's probably because all the smarks chose to stay home after that BS and that's also why they got such a shit rating. If they keep going down, they're gonna get a record low and they're gonna get a rating that matches TNA's best. |

If he just shut up that alone would be an imporvement <_< |

| Get used to Triple H talking for a long time, Reigns is awful on the mic and Sheamus is barely any better, he's gonna be doing a ridiculous amount of talking for both of them. |

| As ratings show a lot of people are not going to "get used to it." They're going to watch football instead |

| True.
Something else that pisses me off about how they use Reigns, is the ridiculous idea that I'm supposed to feel bad for him. This tough, Samoan, badass, good-looking monster that's been pushed as invincible. I'm supposed to feel bad for him because the authority totally doesn't want him as champ... right. I'm supposed to believe that the guy who has NEVER EVER LOST A MATCH CLEAN ON THE MAIN ROSTER is an 'underdog.' Fuck off. He's not an underdog and shouldn't be pushed as one. It worked with Daniel Bryan because he was legit. He was a small, scrawny guy with a beard that wasn't very good looking. We KNEW that WWE didn't want him to be champ, so we could totally empathize with him. Plus, he actually lost matches clean. Reigns on the other hand, has never lost a clean match on the main roster, it's been obvious that WWE is trying to make him 'the guy', and has 'the look', I don't feel bad for him at all. |
