Renegade Championship Wrestling is holding an event tonight in Chatsworth, Georgia, and the card features James Storm in-action.

Renegade is advertising on Facebook that tonight will be Storm’s “final trip to RCW before becoming full-time with the WWE.” The promotion is also billing Storm as a “current WWE superstar.”

Storm worked this past week’s WWE NXT TV tapings, but at last work he had yet to sign any kind of full-time deal with WWE.

Them billing him as that means nothing. Any wrestler who has appeared in WWE once is billed as a former WWE superstar to drive ticket sales up.

But he'll work in NXT for however long and then be forgotten, like the everyone else they are signing.

I think NXT needs a 2nd male championship now only because I believe a lot of the NXT guys will never get a chance at the NXT title and since they like giving the champions long reigns. A minor title will give them something to go after if not all of them are main title worthy or ready or tag team guys.
