As noted, there has been talk that Lucha Underground season two will explore more of the science fiction story lines seen in season one of the show.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the current plan is for season two of the show to delve into the more “supernatural” direction the show teased into season one. The longterm goal is to build a super babyface star and monster heels for a possible Lucha Underground spin off TV show or movie.
