| I actually was really impressed with the build-up to this match, and the match itself was pretty solid. It's a shame they fucked it up with the ending because, lol, don't wanna wait for another chance to break a record. 9_9
I'm fully expecting a title change Sunday, but I don't know if I can muster up the fucks to give after the way Raw went down. |

| I didn't watch this Raw so idk how bad this ending was (if it was bad). However, I probably won't watch Raw until the NFL is over so I don't think there will be anyone on here defending the show anymore lol. |

| Womens wrestling doesn't matter. Only Stephanie McMahon matters. |

| Nikki setting the record really wouldn't bother me if it weren't for how it was booked. She barely defended the title at all, and when she finally does after several months it ends like this. That would be fine if the announcers would acknowledge that she's dodged challengers and cheats consistently to win or retain through DQ, whatever, but nobody ever mentions it. Michael Cole on Raw was acting like Nikki was a face, and they talked about her being a great champion.
It's weird, like they want to book her as a heel but they don't want people booing Cena's girlfriend or something. It's frustrating that Cole calls out Rollins on the cowardly heel stuff he pulls, but seems completely blind to Nikki. It kills the drama of the story, because it tells the fans that the title doesn't matter. That should never be WWE's narrative. |

| I haven't seen it and only read it on a report, but from that, I can't see what was wrong with it. It sounds like a pretty cool twist and play on people not wanting her to be Champion. Sort of reminds of of that HHH/Jericho angle back in 2000.
Granted, barely any of us want her as Champion, but at least they did something a little different this time with the booking.
And creative haven't been able to decide if they are heel or face for pretty much the past year. I've honestly been confused by that for ages now <_< |

| ^ That's kind of what I mean. It's easy to infer how it could be a play on people not wanting her to be champion, but the way it plays out on TV it doesn't capitalize on that at all. Nobody calls her out on anything, and the product presents it like we're supposed to be happy for her. It's very confusing. |

| It's different than Jericho/Triple H because mens wrestling not only was ESTABLISHED, but it was at a fucking historic peak. Womens wrestling doesn't mean anything right now and the NXT 4 was an opportunity to ESTABLISH it by holding it to a new high standard. Instead it's the same old shit except now they're putting more talented women in the angles.
When professional wrestling is seen by less than 2M people each week by 2025 and they write the Death of Pro Wrestling book, this will be a chapter. They're throwing away a potential to reach literally millions of new and old viewers by changing their image. The NXT 4 could have helped bring in better sponsors because if you reach the casual female audience like Ronda Rousey is reaching, it's no longer a show for fucking losers.
But because it's ran by a bunch of morons, all that opportunity to ESTABLISH womens wrestling to a group of people that don't give a fuck about it is gone. It's just another angle. Who could possibly care? |
