As noted, WWE officials are currently high on NXT Diva Eva Marie, as they feel she is a very marketable superstar, and it’s even been reported that she might be in line for a title feud with Bayley.

According to The Wrestling Observer, one of the reasons why WWE officials want to give Eva a run with the NXT Womens title is because they feel it will validate her. The idea would be Eva becomes champion to tell the story of how she’s able to prove her critics wrong through hard work.

Except that story doesn't work because the entire world knows that anybody could be the champion. That little girl that sits in the front row in Bayley merch at every NXT show could be the NXT Women's Champion if creative booked it that way. Giving Eva Marie the title to "prove her critics wrongs" will be as effective as giving Vince Russo the championship will make him a tough guy.

I can't imagine Triple H thinking this is a good idea. I can't imagine him letting her win the NXT title.

I still want to see how she evolves. If she's being taught (and she's got quite better in-ring, let's face it), I'm curious to see how she'll capitalize in case she does get a chance for a title.

As for any of the Bellas as champions, I'd rather have Vickie Guerrero or Santina Marella.
