Without killing Seth Rollins' momentum completely, i feel like they should put the title on him for at least a month so the record books can say Sting won a WWE Championship and have it add to his already HOF career. When the rematch comes around you can easily have Rollins win it back and continue on his roll until Wrestlemania. Thoughts?

No, I don't like transitional world champions at all. I wouldn't mind them doing this with a mid-card title like Intercontinental or United States championship like they did with Hart. But keep him away from the WWE title.

People bitched about Brock Lesnar being a part timer when he had it. It'd be the same thing, except WORSE with Sting because Lesnar looks far more in shape and isn't as old.

If he wins it'll just be to get Sheamus over as a heel. I am OK with it but Sheamus is never going to be a top guy. He'll be a top guy in WWE's imagination, maybe, but he'll never even get to the ADR level of overness which was not as good as they wanted in the first place.

I wouldn't mind seeing it. And yes I bitched about Brock...but I hate Brock and I like Sting.

If anything they should give him a US Title reign cuz he was known for having that title as well (and putting on some pretty damn good matches while having it.)

World Heavyweight Title? Maybe. I can see them allowing him to win over Seth Rollins at some PPV, then have some "revenge" by Authority members, beating him down, then Sheamus cashing in for the WHT only, winning it, and having Sting keeping the US title only.

Though I would honestly prefer to have Rollins as champion until Wrestlemania OR until WWE decides to do something half-decent with Sheamus.

I'm a giant Sting mark...but I certainly wouldn't put the title on him for WWE just have him go away with it for months, or even as a transitional thing to get Sheamus as Champion. I imagine they will do it at some point, just to say he held the title, but I don't think it'll be now.

There should only ever be one transitional, paper champion, and that is Mick Foley

Do I think Sting should win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship? Yes, why not.

Do I want him to beat someone who's actually made the belt mean something( which the belt hasn't since Daniel Bryan gave it up last year.)? Nope.

No way. Even worse if they have him lose it right away to Sheamus. I'd prefer they give it to Sting for a month and then have him lose it back to Rollins. Although I also wouldn't be a fan of this, but I'd even rather see Authority turn on Seth Rollins and Sheamus have Sheamus cash in on Seth. (in 2-3 months or after WrestleMania, not at Night of Champions)

However, I'd prefer Seth Rollins to stay heel for a long time.

I thought they might put it on him at some point, then give him a big face vs. face story with Cena leading up to WrestleMania, ending with Cena getting his sixteenth title off Sting. Flair comes to the ring, all three hug and he raises both guys hands then Sting retires because WWE will never, ever book Sting vs. 'Taker.

I really want to believe that Seth Rollins will be the one to turn babyface but part of me believes Triple H will turn babyface and bury Seth. That kind of is his thing.

Triple H should totally do that. Have Seth Rollins win every single title in WWE right now, ALL OF THEM, and then turn face, beat him in a few mins, and win every title off him

Sting shouldn't hold a title, especially not a world championship one.
I love sting as much as the next guy, but his time on top is done.

Some of you are thinking i meant Sting getting the belt and then disappearing with it for months. He wins at NOC and then loses it either the next night or at Hell in a Cell.

If he's going to hold it for 24 hours, don't bother.

If it's a 1 or even 2 month reign then sure but I'd still prefer Seth to hold on to the title. If it's a few mins or 24 hours I think that's just pointless & bad booking. And definitely wouldn't want to see him have the title until like Royal Rumble or something.

Love it or hate it, all signs are pointing to Sting beating Rollins for the belt and then have Sheamus cash in and beat Sting @ NOC:

1. The promo between Rollins and Sheamus.

2. Having Rollins lose to the guy who Triple H beat at WM would be the perfect time to make the inevitable breakup with the Authority happen.

3. Sting could salvage losing his debut match with the company and add the WWE WHC to his accolades without actually carrying the belt.

4. The mind games Sting's playing with Rollins. Adds a whole new dynamic we've never seen before with his past feuds.

5. Sting could start a program with Sheamus next (after cashing in his rematch clause), allowing him to put a younger guy over.

6. Rollins already being beat up from his match with Cena would also add reasonable ground for him to lose.

So I can definitely see cause for it.

Still, it would add to his accolades. He can say he held the title when he finally agreed to come over to WWE.

Well, you could argue he'd be the first legitimate guy to do it. Kurt was WCW Champion when WWE bought it out, so it's debatable.
