Riley Williamson vs. Greg Samuel - KoX Round 1 | Tables Match
GRADER: N/A

Double No-Show. Neither man advances in the KoX Tournament.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Khideep Horn vs. Xtreme Icon - KoX Round 1 | Tables Match
GRADER: Myke (Inhaleminati)

Xtreme Icon - Why would the match start off with one wrestler inside the ring and one outside the ring? Doesn't make much sense there, regardless of the stipulation. I have never seen a match start off that way. Your match wasn't anything impressive. It was literally "He does this", "He does that", and you can tell the whole thing was rushed. I appreciate you getting something up though. As for your ending, it wasn't anything spectacular. Also, you wrote Khideep Horn as a male. Khideep is a female.

Khideep Horn - You had better action, description, story-telling, and all that jazz. I don't really have much else to say. It was a good post. My only complaint is when you say shit like this: "but I saw Xtreme's post and figured I didn't have to go over the top with it at this point anyhow" you come off as an arrogant prick. If you don't care, then keep it up. But if you want to get along with people, you might want to tone that down. Granted, that wasn't even part of your post. I felt like letting you know.

Winner - Khideep Horn.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Chris Dolmeth vs. Johnathan Blade vs. Fletcher Fierce - Triple Threat Match
GRADER: Myke (Inhaleminati)

Johnathan Blade - I thank you for showing, but obviously your post was a "I don't think my opponents are going to show, so I'm going to throw something together in five-minutes" post. I can't really grade it. But again, I thank you for getting SOMETHING up.

Chris Dolmeth - You left the fed, so I can't really say anything about your post. It was literally your character leaving and having another character win.

Fletcher Fierce - You're going to be the obvious winner. I enjoy that you had Chris Dolmeth leave like how Meth did. I'm sorry that you didn't get an actual post to contend against, and I appreciate it a lot that you got something up. So I thank you for that. If you want feedback on your post, let me or another GM know in a PM and we'll provide it for you.

Winner: Fletcher Fierce

E.G. Deal vs. Caleb Spires - KoX Round 1 | Tables Match
GRADER: N/A

Caleb Spires clearly wins here. Caleb, I'll send you feedback on your match sometime during the week if I can.

Shade vs. Dante Cross - KoX Round 1 | LH & IC Match | Tables
Match

GRADER: Razor

Shade: Good start, although I'm not sure how I feel about the match starting at a really quick pace. I realize both Dante and Shade are more quick-paced wrestlers, but it would've been better if it had started off a little slower and then built up more speed as it went along. However, I also understand that it's a tables match and not a 1v1 singles, so I get that a faster pace is definitely better in some aspects so I won't ding you for that. I liked the continuous suplexes, although a signature move right off the bat might've been a little risky. Your description is good, however some of this stuff seems a bit rushed in the way it was written. I LOVE the comedic aspects of your writing, as well as the tons of irl wrestling references. "Come on Nikki" "Suplex City Prick!" "Get the tables!" etc. I know other wrestling doesn't exist in XWA's world, but you played it off nicely by having Shade not acknowledge what Samael was talking about for most of those. Loved the spot with Dante running into Samael and Shade trying to take credit for it. Low blow makes sense, as it makes Samael and Shade not look weak enough that they'd lose to Dante 2v1 but it also keeps it so that Dante has a more fair fight. I actually liked the spot with Shade falling on the table after the superkick but not going through it, I always pictured a spot like that so it's nice to see it (or uhh, read it) happening. Some of the moves themselves, I have a hard time picturing. Like when Dante fell out of the ring after the big boot or Dante over-selling the headbutt so much that it sent him flying over the top rope. Samael playing a trumpet. Nice, totally get the reference. Samael must have no balls to get up from that low blow really quick, though. Another low blow. Good job in making Dante look strong so far, as I was worried that you were gonna try to make him look bad in the match since you dont like him - which I would've found unprofessional and would've likely dinged you for it - for example how you had him cleanly take out Samael with a DDT counter to the two-handed chokeslam and you also had him take out Shade at the same time. Great writing of the 'playing possum' thing. I love when writing reflects the stuff happening in the match. I didn't understand how Shade and Dante both went through tables and didn't lose. I've seen a good amount of table matches end that way, but I won't ding you for it as the official description does say "you must put your opponent through the table" so I guess it doesn't count if they go through themselves. I'll accept this. Excellent ending. Beautifully done. Made Dante look strong, as it took two guys to beat him, and it was just an excellent spot entertainment-wise. Great job there, I legitimately loved that ending. Great match overall, very few complaints from me.

Dante: I loved the beginning of your match, great work with that. I wont count the promo, though, since I also wouldn't factor it into word count. Your match did start off a lot slower, if this were a singles match, you'd get more points than your opponent on that, however it isn't so I won't factor that too much. I dont get how the back elbow-from-diving elbow spot would work. I mean, I can picture it, it just seems insanely complex. Your description is a little better so far than your chamber match's was, but it could still use a little bit of work there. You have certain spots with good description, and some without. Not because you don't describe enough, but it's just a bit lackluster. Great writing in describing why the weight difference affects the bearhug's damage. I would have enjoyed if you had something like "the reason for the bearhug is that Shade wants to wear down Dante for an easy tables' fall." Also, David saying: "Oh this is a tables match? I honestly forgot for a second." is pretty spot on. Once again, if this were a regular match, this would be a great thing, but so far, it doesn't seem to be a special tables match. Reading into the submission on the leg and once again, I just have to point out, that this match would be very very very good if this were a singles match. You have to remember this is a stip match and I'd like to see that utilized more. So far I've only seen the table mentioned once. However, as a singles match, this is really really good and it makes sense as to how you were the Pure Champ for so long. You have a great way of writing singles matches, and only a few people are truly capable of that (like Mick, Caleb, and Chilly). I didnt know there were rope breaks in tables matches lol. Great selling when you wrote the Return to Sin Kick, describing why the move was done a bit slower due to Dante's freshly-hurt leg. Unless the boy and his father were plants, I can't see Dante putting his hands on a little boy going well legally. Also Shade hitting a big boot on the dad. Yeah, I'm going to assume they're plants because that wasn't a very good spot haha. Dante botching the SSP because of his leg is another example of good 'technical' writing. It gives the match a more realistic feel. I like that you described what the DDC was, but the description of the move itself could've been better. Ok, your ending was very good, however Dante recovered from that table spot WAY too fast. He literally went through it, Shade went up, and Dante got back up. The spots themselves were good, and a false finish isn't that bad, however the selling was very off point.

Verdict: Wow. I know I was very hard on both of you, but it's only because both of your matches were very good. I don't care what anyone thinks about you Dante, you are an excellent writer and this was a perfect example of it. That said, even though this WAS a close match, I know I am confident giving the win to Shade. For several reasons. Shade did better in making it feel like a "big fight" - I know it's not the main event, but it's for two titles and it's the first round of KoX, so it definitely should be billed as a big fight. Secondly, the stips. If this had been a normal singles match, then stips aside, make no mistake about it, Dante would have likely taken it with the matches that were posted. Dante's technical-wrestling writing is one of the best I've seen in a long time. That said, this wasn't a singles match, it was a stip match and Myke did a much better job in utilizing it. Dante, don't be discouraged, you will definitely be rewarded for your effort. Myke, please keep writing the way you did here, as you definitely belong in the main event and it's dumb for anyone to say otherwise. You are both excellent writers and even considering most other matches were no shows, I can easily say one way or another, this IS and would have been MOTN. You are both very good writers and both of you belong way higher than you are right now. Keep it up. Aside from all the petty drama surrounding this, this was an excellent read on both ends and I hope neither of you feel discouraged.

I'm really sorry my comment came off that way. I only meant that I rushed the ending since I read Icons comment that he was rushed as well.
