Universal Studios is reportedly developing a theme park with a heavy focus on video games for its Orlando Resort. The rumored park would feature various attractions based on Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment properties.
According to This Is Infamous (via /Film), a Mario Kart ride is currently in the works for the park, as well as attractions based on Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda. World of Warcraft is also said to have a big presence in the park, which makes sense considering Universal is the studio behind the upcoming Warcraft film adaptation.
Nintendo and Universal announced a partnership earlier this year to develop theme park attractions based on Nintendo games, characters, and worlds. Following the announcement, reports surfaced stating the partnership would primarily be used to reboot the children's play area. However, according to this report, Universal has ended up developing too many Nintendo-based attractions for the kids' area alone, leading to the plan for an entirely new theme park on top of the pre-existing Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure.
