As noted, TNA has begun hyping the identity of the new authority figure for TNA, following Dixie Carter’s announcement that the “Reign of Carter” is over. TNA’s website posted the following satirical look at who it could possibly be, featuring some amusing and absurd choices:

Let the speculation begin, who will be put in charge of Impact Wrestling? Who will be The Sheriff? The Law? The Governing Body? We have no idea, we can cross two names off the list, Dixie Carter and EC3. As Dixie stated at the end of the show last night neither of them will be taking over. So it begs the question, WHO IS IT?? Here are five we think might be on that list.

Jeff Jarrett

Never say never and stranger things have happened. Imagine if Jeff Jarrett were put in charge of Impact Wrestling! What would happen between Jeff and Impact and Impact and Global Force Wrestling? Jeff did return for Slammiversary and King of The Mountain, maybe there was more to the deal and Jeff struck just that with Dixie Carter?

Shark Boy

It is Shark Week! He is highly entertaining and give me a “SHELL YEAH!” If you think Shark Boy deserves the chance to run Impact Wrestling. This is highly unlikely, but Shark Boy would certainly serve up some bait.

Kurt Angle

He has done it in the past and was great at it. Kurt knows what it is like to be on the frontlines and run a company, if anyone is worthy it is Kurt Angle. He went after The BDC, he became a 6x TNA World Champion and he has a mind for our sport. Kurt Angle is a great leader and everyone respects Kurt.

Joseph A. Park

He is a former lawyer, he knows the letter of the law. He lost all his money so he comes cheap… Joseph A. Park might be a great fit for this role. We feel this needs to happen and Joseph A. Park should run Impact Wrestling.

Hope Solo*

She is a 2x Olympic Gold Medalist, she guards a goal for a living. She is the last line of defense and on the surface seems like a great candidate to run our company. Soccer season is over for a little while and Hope already did Dancing With The Stars. It might be time for Hope Solo to come to Impact Wrestling.

Whoever is in charge, watch out, because it is like the wild wild west on Wednesday Night Impact. Find out who becomes The LAW Wednesday at 9pm EST/8pm CST.
