| Batman: Arkham Knight has been temporarily removed from sale on PC.
PC users have complained about the game's frame rate, while others have said that it keeps crashing and freezing, which developer Rocksteady previously said it was taking "very seriously". It has earned extremely negative reviews on Steam.
As such, Rocksteady has suspended future game sales while it works on bringing the PC version up to speed. In a post on the game's forum, a Rocksteady spokesperson said: "We want to apologise to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC.
"We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards.
"We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall."
Furthermore, Rocksteady points out that PC users who have already purchased a copy of the game can request a refund on Steam or at retail.
The PC version is believed to have been outsourced, in part at least, to Killer Instinct: Season 2 developer Iron Galaxy.
Rocksteady previously warned that there might be some performance issues with PC owners using AMD cards, while PC system requirements were updated just moments before the game's launch on Steam.
The concluding chapter in Rocksteady's Arkham series is out now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
It was recently revealed that the Amazon-exclusive Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition has been postponed in the UK, while the Batmobile collector's edition has been cancelled altogether. |
